"Well, everyone has introduced themselves, so I suppose we should get down to business. I'm sure you all will know each other more on the job. Let's move our conversation upstairs to my office. Bring the cakes if you want," Leonardo said after Sunny finished speaking.

He then turned to Keith, "We'll get out of your hair now, Keith," he said, before heading upstairs, gesturing for his new employee to follow him.

The stairs led to a small area, where two doors could be seen, one directly to the front, greeting visitors directly from the 1st floor, and the other one to the left. Both seemingly led to different parts of the 2nd floor.

The door in the front had a sign reading 'Sidereal Agency'. Leonardo opened the door to a cosy modern office space, with some decorative plants here and there.

Over at the corner was what appeared to be a small kitchen area equipped with an electric stove. Given a simple coffee machine and the various tea leaves and paraphernalia used to brew tea, it was clear which one the owner of the office favoured in the debate between coffee and tea.

Finally, beside a window, a work desk in front of shelves of documents had a laptop on top of it could be seen, with some other papers neatly stacked beside the laptop. It seemed to be Leonardo's workspace. Not far from it, there were couches and sofas around a table that had a pot of tea, common condiments, and some cups on it.

"Have a seat," Leonardo gestured to the sofa.

"Now then," he began, "I'm sure that you already have a good idea what sort of work we do here, but to be clear, so there's no misunderstanding, while on the surface we are a detective agency taking on weird occult cases, our real world is more like fixers or consultants. We take 'cases' from basically everyone. Of course, if it's too dangerous or something that would have the DoM come down on us, I'd just straight up reject those jobs. But aside from that, as long as the pay is good, we'll offer our services. Private clients are a given, but this also includes the occasional jobs from the Church, American Mystic Society, DoM and even the mafia. This next comparison isn't too flattering, but I suppose you can think of us as small-scale Pinkertons for the magecraft world in Millhaven."

Leonardo then took out his phone, "Give me a minute to create a chat group for us on Cipher."

Cipher, short for AetherCipher, was the chat application used by those involved in mystics, primarily in the States. Created by the American Mystics Society, it was a chat application encrypted with both conventional technology and Internet Magecraft.

A moment later, those whose phones were not set to silent received a notification sound.

"There, that should do it," Leonardo said.

A moment later, he sent a picture through the chat application.

"This is the client, Fatma Amari, 36. The request is concerning her child, Evan Amari, 14. Since last week, Evan told Fatma that a 'demonic entity' was talking to him. Because he had taken the divorce between his parents last year hard, Fatma thought it was just a psychological or psychiatric issue at first, but then, apparently, Evan was able to know what Fatma was thinking, which he said was because the demonic figure he saw told him. Then, after a few days, Evan was able to speak Arabic, a language he never studied. As before, Evan said that the demonic figure taught him how. Fatma is not a practising mage, but she came from a mage family in Egypt before immigrating here, so she's aware that true demonic possession is dangerous. However, given that the DoM has been... trigger-happy, shall we say, ever since that incident in Florida, Fatma is reluctant to contact them and risk Evan unless this is a real case of demonic possession. That's where we come in, she wanted us as consultants to determine the cause, whether it is true demonic possession or something else. Even if it is true demonic possession, Evan had not shown overt signs such as psychokinesis or enhanced strength or bodily mutation, the demon is far from mature, so it should be 'safe'," Leonardo made an air quotation with his hands on the word safe, before continuing, "Just don't do anything stupid like naming the demon and having it mature like that infamous priest from Florida, okay? Any questions?"

"Indeed, a lion does not feel they belong in the Wild West," Hikari remarked amusedly, in response to Thespian's banter.

"Lucrezia!"

Hikari summoned her persona once more, as the golden-haired persona in black manifested, the hems of her dress fluttering, as if being blown from the air current produced by the moving train.

Lucrezia was more of a support persona, inconveniencing enemies with ailments and healing allies. Still, having been bolstered in strength by Noblesse's persona, it would be a waste not to go on the offensive.

Still, her more 'special skills', not unlike what Thespian just unleashed, were more suitable for either multiple enemies or a protracted battle, neither of which was the current condition of the battle.

Thus, Hikari instead commanded Lucrezia to aim both of her crossbow arms at the burning lion. [Double Shot]

The twin arrows flew through the remaining flames to pierce the lion.
All right, here's my sheets application. I'm not sure I understand correctly how many background potentials and perks you're supposed to have, so I just matched them to the example sheet for now.

Question, what does this line about NPCs mean?

NPCs: The number of combat-ready NPCs are limited to three NPCs per player.

Do we also submit NPCs?
Mecha against aliens, huh? There's probably more example, but the one that comes to my mind immediately is Muv Luv Alternative.

Anyway, I'm interested. Will try to write some sheet over the weekend.
So is this RP dead, or...?
Arnannel

Arnannel watched as the Auroch trashed around before falling on its side, exposing the wound. Now would be a prime opportunity to kill it, but they decided to try cure it instead, so...

Arnannel shouted to Pepper, "You there! The one who said to cauterise the wound! Now's your chance!"

"Well, I suppose I'll start then," Leonardo said, before turning to the rest of the group, "I already know a decent bit of your backgrounds, so it's only fair I tell you a bit of myself. Especially since we didn't get to talk much during your interviews outside of the interview itself."

Leonardo took a seat in one of the stools near the bar, before turning around so he was facing the table the group was sitting on.

"My name is Leonardo Animusphere Fidano. As you can probably surmise from my middle name, my family is one of the branch families of the Astromancy Department's Animusphere family in the Clock Tower. I only have minimal contact with them, though. The crest went to my younger sister, so don't expect much on that front. Of course, because of my family, as you can imagine, my magecraft is mostly based on astromancy."

"Strawberry shortcake? Well, this is a café, so I do serve some sweets. I run this business basically alone, though, so I only keep so much in stock. I can bring it out, but that one's not on the house," Keith replied.

Turning to Selene, he then asked, "So, what'll it be? I'm gonna have to ask you to pay for that one, so—"

Keith was interrupted by the sound of another door chime.

"Strawberry shortcake? Sure, you can get her one, I'll pay. Everyone else who wants a slice, too," said the man who just entered the café.

The man, who would be recognisable to the gathered new employees of Sidereal Agency from their interviews, turned to the group.

"You guys can consider that a 'welcome to Sidereal Agency'. Also as an apology for being late. I was talking to a potential client," the man said in a British accent.

"We already spoke during your interviews, but once again, I'm Leonardo Animusphere Fidano, the owner of the Sidereal Agency. Looking forward to working with all of you."

"Wine? No, not really. This is a café, not a bar, after all," Keith answered the newcomer.

He added, "You should probably ask your boss. He keeps a bottle in the office for important clients, pretty sure."

The other one from the Clock Tower, Keith remembered Leonardo telling him. There were technically three, but one was a dropout, unlike these other two.

Turning to the table, he remarked, "Only one more left, pretty sure. Well, one more and Leonardo. Oh, by the way..." Keith trailed off, turning to Selene and Mimi, "You two are from the Clock Tower, right? Do you know each other from before?"

"Not sure how familiar you two are with Millhaven, but, well...you three are locals, though, right?" He added, gesturing to Winnifred, Richard, and Sunny, "You can probably have them help you familiarise yourself with the city while working together. Or something along those lines."
