Personality: Edwyn is a laid-back, mischievous boy with an appreciation for dry humor. Oh no, not you too...Was the first thing to cross Tawny's mind as Lance started to talk about cutting off someone's hand. It was probably the paranoia from seeing some of the others lose it in this new place that initially compelled her to make that statement out to be more than just some harmless dry humor. However, after some rationalizing, she figured that it was nothing to worry about. Besides, she was the one who started joking in such a manner, and it would not have been uncommon for them to do so in any normal situation.

When Lance brought her attention back to Ash, she simply shook her head. "I'm not about to question the behavior of a wolf when we're in some strange land and we all suddenly have different magical powers."

Upon reaching the wagon, Tawny climbed back in with Ash hopping in right after. She hoped that everyone had taken some time to clear their heads and find out more about what was happening to them.

Vera Wynn

Vera had returned to her cubicle, which had been reshaped into a large semicircle, after the second trial, flustered and aching. She dusted herself off as she listened to the headmaster's instructions regarding the final trial. His speech started off rather vague as to what they were actually required to do. That was before the flat wall of earth vanished, revealing a rather, admittedly, cute brunet on the other side, after which the headmaster then spoke about fighting. So, they got to take any frustrations built up over the previous two trials out on one another. How convenient, except that her abilities were hardly offensive by nature. She figured she would probably have to wear her opponent down with her new tricks, now thankful to that young light instructor for pushing her to discover them.

When it was announced for them to begin, Vera gave the boy a small wave and flashed him a playful smile. "Well then, it's been a pleasure to meet you. I'll see you again when you find me, darling."

Following that, she started to conjure up large reflective panels between the both of them, this time turning the makeshift arena into a literal house of mirrors. With the main purpose of the mirrors being to hide her from his sight, less concentration was spent on the sharpness of the reflected images, which were constantly shifting in and out of focus. She would tread around cautiously while shifting the mirrors about, intending not to make any sound which would give away her location. She also had an additional advantage of being able to direct the light reflecting upwards from the arena into her eyes, enabling her to track her opponent's whereabouts.

The Defiance Project

Alexanda raised an eyebrow at the cartoon fish-girl hybrid, who currently had an arm around her. "Well, this is going to be interesting."

Director King then spoke again, providing those present with the information they wanted to know. Although he did not directly answer her question about the frequency of such meetings, she had gotten a little from what he mentioned about civilian life. However, the next thing he said about quarters confused her slightly. How often did they have to be here if preparations were made for them to practically live here? She still had her business to take care of, and Daniel was probably not going to be very happy if she started leaving home for long periods of time.

"Yeah... I'll most likely be taking lots of time off, if that's alright with you guys..." she said in response.

The Asian man, whom Director King had addressed as 'Mr. Wu', was eventually convinced to display the ability that the Defiance Project had sought him out for. So, his was teleportation. Alexanda was beginning to feel more comfortable around these gifted individuals as they continued interacting with one another. It would be best to get to know everyone better for the time being, and go along with the tour as well as the 'bonding over food', as the cartoon character referred to as 'Light' had put it.
