@Burning Kitty That would be J for Juliet :) I'll see what I can do. Will try to move this forward tomorrow or the day after.
Oh, thanks! No I didn't. I chose it because Shamira means 'guardian' or 'protector' according to the website Behind the Name.
@FalkiThomas Your post gave me an idea. I'm thinking of a glitch causing the characters to be teleported to random areas around the base instead of where they had been expected to. This would send the agents on a wild HQ-wide chase to find them all before they get in trouble lol

I'm planning to have someone appear in front of Zack right now, probably one of my characters ;)
On the balcony of a two-storey cabin on the outskirts of Cragpeak stood a lone hired hunter - a woman in her mid-twenties of a slender build with glossy bronze skin and brilliant turquoise orbs that shone from her almond-shaped eyes. Her jet-black hair was pulled into a firm braid with straight cut-across bangs. Not paying attention to the racket caused by her rowdy companions in the background, she first turned to the left, watching as the Sun set over the lush green forest. It was their destination for that night, and it is with the darkness that the dangers would come. With a quiver of crossbow bolts attached to her belt and a large dagger slotted in the holster around her calf, she was as ready as she could be for them.

To the right was the little town which displayed a semblance of comfort and peace. That was all it was, however, a semblance. Shamira was well aware of what truly went through the minds of its inhabitants when the Sun went down every single day. Anxiety, worry, fear that they and their loved ones would not make it through the night without falling victim to the savage monsters that would emerged from the adjacent forest. Having had her mother taken from her at an early age, she knew exactly what it felt like to have that very fear become a reality. The fact that she had been recruited to go right into the danger she had trained to protect herself from was ironic, to say the least, but they needed anyone they could get. That current view of Cragpeak would motivate her to do her very best to bring its residents the sound sleep and peaceful nights they deserved.

"Miss?"

Shamira turned at the voice to see the head of the youngest recruit poking through the doorway. It was at that point when she realized that she did not even know his name. He could not have been past his late-teens, and the other members of the team would simply refer to him as 'boy', or 'kid'.

"We're umm, moving out..." he then continued in a slightly nervous tone.

She simply nodded to him in thanks and acknowledgement before picking up her crossbow. Following her companions out into the forest, she glanced up into the night sky and saw that the moon was already shining bright. The atmosphere quickly changed once the team set foot in the forest, each member wary of what might be lurking in the nearby vegetation. Shamira pulled a bolt out from her quiver to load her crossbow with. She gripped the weapon tightly, taking a deep but quiet breath to calm herself as she put her finger on its trigger and readied herself for the first sign of an attack.
All of my character reacted violently to the emblem showing up. He-Man and She-Ra maybe a little more violently than the others.

Don't expect any of them to be happy campers.

Ah not at all. Who knows, the first fight may already break out the moment they arrive ;)
@Raptra The base kind of reminds me of anything the Empire in Star Wars made.

Oh, hope that isn't a bad thing XD and glad you found it entertaining.

@Lightning I never realized before I wrote the first post, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Lena and Raven interact. It'll be like a darkness and light thing.
@Lightning @FalkiThomas @Raptra IC is up! Where your characters find their emblems in their own universes are up to you guys.
Defenders of Cinix

The footsteps of a weary young agent echoed as she made her way down the corridors of the headquarters that she had practically made her home. A woman in her mid-twenties with olive skin, large chestnut eyes and straight, golden blonde hair gathered neatly into sleek ponytail, Agent J, or 'Juliet' as she was nicknamed, was one of the few personnel involved in the inter-dimensional recruitment project initiated by the mayor. She halted in front of the entrance to the main ops area, the door sliding open with a hand to the touch pad. A blue-eyed brunet sat among several monitors. Predictably, the young man was known as Agent R, or 'Romeo'.

His attention turned to his partner as she entered. "Ah, welcome back, Agent."

She took a seat beside him before playfully punching him in the shoulder. "Oh, stop."

There had been much speculation about the two be more than just friends, due to how close they were and how they were seen to act towards each other. However, either of them would deny anything of that sort when asked directly.

He let out a chuckle before hitting a few buttons, causing the images of a couple of spiky-haired young men to appear on screen. "Check it out, spell-casting swordsmen. Left an emblem for each of them."

The screen then switched to display two blonde individuals, a male and a female, who looked like they were from a different time and place altogether. "And these two?"

"Right, them. Knights, barbarians, vikings? I don't exactly know, but they'd be great to have on board. Both sword wielders too, but hers turns into a whole bunch of other things."

"Cool, cool..." replied R, and he scrolled over to the next one, a blonde elf-like teenager in a green tunic and hat. "So, this one's yet another sword user. How many sword users did we recruit exactly?"

"Hey, she uses a shield too!" J protested as she leaned back in her seat.

"Oh, but of course..." R muttered sarcastically in response.

"Here, look," she then pushed past him to scroll for another image, a girl in a dark, bird-themed cloak. "No sword, just a whole range of psychic powers."

"I imagine she likes the dark," R commented, raising an eyebrow at the picture. "Interesting, I found one who might share similar abilities, except she would very much prefer the light."

"Hmm, alright. Anyone else you got?"

"Yeah, just this kid who can build machines out of his own body."

J broke into a mischievous grin. "Can he build a sword?"

R let out a groan. "Yes, yes he can..."

Both agents turned to the wall of the room that was lined with several large, transparent cylindrical machines, wondering how many of these individuals would respond to their call for assistance. They wanted this to work, for the mayor and for the citizens of Cinix.

"I suppose they all know how to press a button, at least."

"Guess we'll just have to wait and see."
Guess this requires another bump?
At Isago's response, Kai wondered if he had revealed a little too much information, though, that was the least of his worries. The older man's offer to protect him was a pleasant surprise, seeing as how he had nothing to gain from doing such a thing. Considering the type of people he had worked with, it was rather unexpected. Unless of course, Isago did expect something in return. However, the possible problem was not totally external.

"I appreciate the offer, Sir, but it might just be me. Aye, something did happen in the past, but I don't even know if he recognizes me. It's just that I still remember, and..."

That was when the boy decided to stop sharing. Besides, Ratte had already managed to make her way out to meet them, and he was relieved to find that the other pirate was not with her, at least not for the moment. Isago had something to tell them, and it was serious. Kai looked to him to lead the way to the place he had suggested for them to go to for their discussion.
