With the sky turning dark, the residents of the farm ushered their livestock into the barn and retreated into their home. On the porch of the farmhouse, three hunters settled down for the night, yet kept alert for any danger that might come. By candlelight they waited, glancing out into the darkness cast over the crops and the silence brought by the night every so often, ready to spring into action at the sign of anything out of the ordinary. The silence was occasionally broken by some words exchanged among the team, though, none of them had much to say during the wait, for they did not have to wait long before movement was spotted from across the field.

All three shot one another quick and knowing looks, swiftly leaving the porch to head towards the movement. Upon reaching the spot where it had last been seen, they were puzzled to find nothing. Might whatever it was be in hiding? The hunters immediately began checking their surroundings, wary of a possible surprise attack. That was when the tracks left by the creature were noticed, confirming that it was no longer anywhere near. Giant wolf tracks - the same ones that were left on the farm the night before. They led back into the woods, and the three glanced at one another again and nodded, silently agreeing to move forward and follow them.

As they cautiously made their way along the path left by the large tracks, the howl of a wolf was heard up ahead. The team was getting close. They wondered if the creature might be with others, but they were expecting such a situation, preparing to hide once they caught a glimpse of some fur. They were puzzled once again upon arriving at the edge of a river to see the animal by itself. They watched it, hiding behind trees, and the next time they exchanged glances, they were ones of confusion. However, it was not long before one decided that the reason for the wolf's behavior did not matter, and that this was their chance to end it for good.

Suddenly, just as Shamira's companion had taken aim and was about to shoot it on the spot, the sound of something else could be heard approaching from behind them, and this one a lot larger than the one they were currently watching. All three turned in time dodge a set of razor-sharp teeth. One tossed the sack of meat they had with them at the monster, hoping to cause a distraction while they escaped. Such a beast had managed to take out half of a full team before, and so they had little to no chance of taking it down with just the three of them. Completely forgetting about the smaller creature they were tracking, they thrashed across the river and scattered. Shamira hoped that she would not be the one that it would decide to chase.

Just to confirm, Shamira and her companions aren't seeing the whole second part of your post, right?

Also, just a heads up, I probably won't be able to post IC till next weekend. I'm on a course and will be lacking in time and energy.
Cole Ryder

"Ah, that explains the gloves," he responded to Serenity sharing her ability with her.

So, it turned out that she actually was some kind of empath, it was just that it was by touch. If the both of them touched she would probably be frightened by a vision of that 'thing', but that was what the gloves were for. She, like everyone else, would have to find out sometime though. As passed the stairs to make his way to the other room, he was intercepted by Peanut Butter Girl, who currently had a video camera in her hand. It was rather apparent that it was rolling, but observing how she was teetering on the edge of the top stair, he stepped back and waved her forward. He then thought for a couple of seconds before speaking.

"A very good day to all who see this, I'm Cole Ryder from the Haven, and we are currently situated in Woodhaven, a cozy little place in the middle of Haven Forest."

He kept a straight face while saying all this, though, it was difficult to tell if it was an attempt at dry humor or if he truly saw no reason to smile. At some point, Cole heard somebody walk past behind him, and thought he felt a slight change in the surrounding temperature as that happened, but simply dismissed it for the time being.

"As for what is lurking, it's hard to say. Here at the Haven, unexpected things pop up everyday. There is much to discover about the environment, our peers, and even ourselves. The staff claim that the woods are safe, and I sincerely hope they are right. If they aren't, then this footage might be the last thing I leave for the world to remember me by," he then ended off matter-of-factly.

While all this went on, Kaze had entered the lodge and he spoke to the girl, calling her 'Claude'. Thinking that she would now have her attention on the dragon boy, Cole nodded to the both of them and resumed his walk to the next room. Upon entering, he felt the chill again, it was very slight, but this time, he was sure it was really present. He caught sight of one of the other students occupying one of the beds, and assuming that the boy was asleep, he quietly set his belongings down and made his way over to the window to take the view in.

Apologies for the wait, just started a course for my job and hardly had any time to make IC posts. I've just posted filler of sorts so that Raven can do what she wants before Eliezer returns. I most probably won't be able to make another IC post till next weekend, so do take your time :)
"You have heard the proof yourselves. It matters not how dangerous she might be, your esteemed Moon Raven is no longer your ally. By protecting a member of the Dainian royal family, she has betrayed you and your kingdom. Do what you will with this newfound information."

The words of the Red Robin echoed in the minds of the Lunarian assassins she had recruited for the convoy attack as they cautiously made their way towards the orphanage to carry out an organized attack on Raven and her companions. Thanks to the information provided by the Red Robin's spies, they knew that they were in for quite a battle as she was no longer alone. It was the middle of the night, and if anyone inside the establishment were to be on watch and spot the attackers as they approached, they were in for an unexpected occurrence right before both parties would engage each other. However, if all inside were asleep, the sounds of said occurrence would likely wake them.

Just as the group of Lunarian assassins were about to break in, they were intercepted by Dainian troops. A short scuffle took place around the orphanage before the soldiers managed to restrain the aggressors and take them away. A couple of guards lingered to search for any remaining assassins that might still be hiding, and then checked the orphanage to ensure that all was well before leaving.

Back at the palace, the soldiers reported the incident to Mathazar, who had his maid by his side. The prince dismissed them and waited until they were out of the room before angrily turning to Robynne.

"Tell me this is not your doing!"

Robynne gave him a hurt and confused gaze. "I- I don't understand, my prince. I thought you wanted the Moon Raven either captured or dead."

"By having a scrimmage break out in the village while Dainia is left under my supervision?"

"This is your brother's doing, not yours, Your Highness. If the people find out that this happened because Prince Eliezer is fraternizing with a Lunarian assassin, it would be his reputation that would be tarnished and not yours."

"Unlike the diligent and honest people of the village, the scum of Gloomvale do not have the respect of those from other districts. My brother is greatly admired by our people, and nobody would doubt his integrity just because of the words of some Gloomvale rogues."

Robynne started to wear her most guilty-looking face. "Forgive me for not thinking in such a way, Your Highness, but just know that everything that I have done, I have done for you, and shall continue to do so."

Mathazer knew better to be taken in by her act, but he decided to play along regardless. "But of course, my sweet lady. Fret not, as you have mentioned ruining the reputation of Prince Eliezer, it has occurred to me that we still have that option. However, we shall have to wait for my dear brother to return to carry such a plan out."
