BTW @Penny, is the mythos behind each supernatural creature fairly open source? Like, I'd be down for playing a Werewolf, but closer to World of Darkness standards. (i.e. being born as one, shifting into different forms, etc)

Everyone within the city is expected to adhere to Imperial Rule, they’ve even gone as far as taking over the local police force.
I like that idea, since my character's background would be an Enforcer Agent in the ISB. Perhaps he was appointed to lead a Police Task Force in Haven to snuff out certain criminals. Actually, I'd go so far as to make him some kind of Interrogator for the Empire. The ISB has all kinds of fun little divisions.
@Rawk so haven itself has more of an actual police force. There'll be more details once the ooc is up on small towns and stuff

Alright @Sep, figured I'd get your two cents on this...
So, my concept will be current "Law Keeper" of Haven for the last couple of years, after being honorably discharged from the Galactic Navy
(turned Imp Navy by this time?) due to a chronic injury that kept him from being able to continue serving. After leaving the Navy, and recovering, he ended up finding odd jobs in various parts of the galaxy until landing on Maldra, living there, and eventually taking up the mantle of "Law Keeper" because of his background.

Actually that was my fault for not reading the synopsis closely enough, but I think a "Law Keeper" would work for me just fine.
