Goblin Gird
Training with Goblin Zats /// Night // Day 3

Only one way to find out” Gird joked with a smile. Honestly, even if it was dangerous he was up for new things and new experiences. He was okay with failing too he figures that you'll learn more when you fail. The first few strikes felt better as he blocked them with his arms. Eventually asking Zats to strike low at his legs then down at the top of his head. He could feel that rush again but it just wasn't the same as when he was with that rabbit.

After a little while his arms and legs had gone numb from abuse, and he could see the bruises forming. “Okay I think that's enough for me tonight.” sweat on his brow and short of breath he smiled at Zats again. “So for the morning we need a plan of action. So my suggestion is we go out to a meet up spot that me and my friend talked about today. If she's not there or there's no sign of her. Then you can take me back to the last place you saw your friend and ill see if I can't track her.” Gird began rubbing his arms and legs feeling the slight sting. He knew he wasn't to awfully skilled with tracking but was confident he could find someone's trail that wasn't trying to hide.

“Figured it would be faster trying to find my friend first since we talked about a meeting spot, and she didn't just randomly run off into the sunset.” A joke that he giggled at for a moment then looked around finally noticing the other goblin that was watching them. “He can come too if he wants, an extra pair of eyes wouldn't hurt as long as you do what I say. Mostly so you or we don't get killed.”

Goblin Gird
Training with Goblin Zats /// Night // Day 3

Parrying strike after strike with the sticks for the first few minutes was entertaining but somehow just didn't feel right. For what ever reason Gird's swings didn't feel natural or what he felt it could be. not that he felt he couldn't use the weapon but all he wanted to do was feel that rush again. To get in close and inflict some damage. He knew for the sake of training this would have to do for now but soon grew tired of simply just blocking or parrying slow attacks or having his strikes blocked.

After a little while longer he stopped and dropped his stick. “You can keep practicing with the stick if you want but for some reason this feels better.” He resumed his stance he had earlier but this time held his fists up instead. The goblin kept his right leg forward and nodded to the other goblin. “You can work on your strikes if you want. I figure blocking would be the best step for me right now until I figure out how to hit people or grapple them.” he knew this was only going to hurt more. He just hoped that the continued abuse to his arms and legs while blocking was going to help.

Figured we would just do a couple bouts of fighting to pass some time. After a little while we can just do something along the lines of like an 80s training montage. Lol
Goblin Gird

Light and the sun, Death and the moon, Life and the forests. None of these in particular stood out to him individually or what he thought he believed in that could better himself or others. Ramos, the god of light. Was indeed helpful and deserved praise. But, didn't have what he thought he could truly appreciate. Duvelna, the goddess of death and night sure seemed frightful. However, he hoped to one day hunt during the night. And as with any hunter would bring death to his foes. Then there was Shirila the goddess of the earth. This one seemed to be more about cherishing life and making it flourish. Out of the three and what they represented, two stood out to him. Duvelna and Shirila, although he wasn't sure which one drew his attention the most.

As far as he could concern himself with anything, he believed that everything had a balance. In that respect, one could not have one without the other. Because of this, both should be worshiped equally. At least for now that's what he would keep his stance at. honestly, he had no idea what if anything this would or could do for him, but he figured it was better than doing nothing. Suddenly his mind was snapped back from his daydreaming and back to the task at hand. Training with this other goblin.

With his sturdy stick in hand he moved to a location away from the others, so they wouldn't get in the way. Catching a brief glimpse of the elder goblin talking to another. He didn't know what they were saying but saw the elder gesture towards some blue and yellow berries. “Must be edible” he hoped as he paired off in front of Zats. “Okay so how about we go slow and just figure out what strikes are comfortable for us before we go on to blocking. so I don't know... try not to draw blood I guess or seriously injure each other.” Gird smiled at the other goblin before taking a stance away from him that was out of reach. The stance was rather aggressive but felt comfortable for him as he readied for his training session with hopefully a new friend.

@Jangel13 Copy... that actually answered two questions. cause I was wondering if we got skills or perks from eating things repeatedly.
@Jangel13 - maybe a Stupid question but... can goblins see in the dark?

@Duthguy - still the options there... Probly should wait till we are hobgoblins to move in so we can defend it properly though. but the skeletons would be a good xp boost.
@Duthguy or clear out the skeletons and use the church as a base. Clearly the creatures of the forst dont like it and have learned to stay away.

Gird took a knee and listened carefully to what the elder said. It was all incredibly useful information. Spiders, vipers, wolves, and rabbits. The wolves interested him the most, something about them called to out to his instincts. These were things he would have to hunt eventually but right now he had to focus on simple tasks. He would have to make do with the rabbits for now and attempt to find or make better things to hunt with. He would also need to train and grow stronger and smarter.

The goblin paused for a moment when another goblin approached. Honestly he couldn’t quite remember his name. It would seem that he was in a similar predicament, both their hunting partners have yet to return. “You too huh? How about we go find our friends in the morning together then?” a simple suggestion, but he felt this male may be slightly more cautious than he was. “You can call me Gird by the way. If you don’t have anything to do later before you sleep, I think we could both do well with a little training.

He looked back to the elder for a moment at his mention of gods when he was told of one of his sisters also not returning. “Goblin Grandpa… what do you mean by gods? I mean who are these gods?” an interesting topic, somehow he knows what the word means, but he doesn’t know what gods there are. He has no idea what their names are or what they represent. However, Gird would not be above praying to one of these gods he would think aligns with his values.

His plan had bought them time if only for a moment. The demon stumbled on the soft ground before falling to the ground with a tremendous thunder. For a moment the half Orc had to breath and regain his focus. His friends valiantly continued their assault while he watched gathering his strength for the next spell. Blood still trickled down off his hand. It would be some time before he would be getting it healed.

He was watching carefully how the beast and its armor moved and reacted with each attack. A thought finally began to surface in his mind, “maybe religious symbols could help?” he thought to himself watching a few glory hungry soldiers foolishly charge the beast. The acid seemed to work well against it, arrows weren't getting through, even a fiery blast from Ardurs flames barely scratched the surface. But one giveaway did show itself, red lightning danced across the black armor after the flames hit it. it was enchanted. For a moment he pondered how long it took for someone to enchant something of that size and complexity.

That thought was fleeting. One of the foot soldiers decided to pull a spear from one of the corpses. He didn't know this one too well, Gilly maybe? But what the man did do was significantly draw the ire of the giant. For what ever reason pulling the spears from the corpses seems to have enraged it. Perhaps it's a weakness then or perhaps it hurts it.

The shaman was quite unsure but after seeing it charge after Gilly like that he knew it was at least important in some way. The half Goliath started to sprint away from the others in an opposite direction from the beast, putting the others between himself and the beast while still staying in the field, “Kharne! Get ready!” he called out to his brother. Out of all the other inquisitors he preferred the company of this one to all the others. He trusted him and they shared many similarities. From their sheer size to their fighting styles and personality, the duo made a good team when they were together.

Genthok made sure the giant was on the other side of the area where the ground was weakened. With his hammer at his side he paused in the open field gathering his strength and praying. “Hear me Goddess Eridani, guardian of the forests, keeper of balance, builder of life and harbinger of death. Hear me, lend me your praise so that I may smite this abomination. This arrogant creature who seeks to tip the balance of life and death.” as he spoke his eyes, hands, and the scar on his chest began to glow a slight green. His hands slowly began to grow tougher with what looked like tree bark. “Protect me and my kin from the demons rage!”

With this last shout the shaman thrust his hands into the earth. Slight movement could be seen and heard from the ground. Multiple small veins cracked and tore from him in all directions seemingly heading toward every spear within 75 yards. These cracks stopped just short of the spears within the radius. Genthok was completely concentrated on the spell he was casting. Very little aside from physical contact could break him from this.

As the last few veins stopped near the spears, they all began to move again. This time roots would try to climb and crawl up the spears gripping them and pulling them free of their “sheaths” and dropping them. He only hoped he could draw the giants attention and make it run back through all hazards his team had created on the field. Not only this but he hoped it would cause an opening for them to strike as well. Genthok has no way to tell if all he did was make the beast stronger, piss it off to no end, or delay the end of the world. Hell for all he knows he could have just summoned a dammed fairy. But thus is what happens when you make a gamble and hope for the best.
