At this rank, you may only attempt to tame creatures at least one level below your own. At this rank, you must still entice the creature with things like food or protection. You may need multiple attempts. When Taming is complete, a personalized magical mark will appear on the creature. - Acquired through skill points.

Stronger II - You have grown stronger through tough training! Tear muscles down, and rebuild them anew! Your physical power stats have increased! By gaining at least one rank of Faster, Harder, and Better, Skill Synergy will occur and you will gain one rank of Physical Conditioning. Acquired through training.
-- Your base physical strength has increased even further! --You possess the Use Light Equipment skill, but with this increase to your stats there may be some other forms of equipment you can wear without the proper skills. For instance, you may meet the requirement for a larger weapon if you are holding it in both hands or using your body more efficiently to lift and swing it. Meditate I - Through calming the mind and stimulating the soul, one clears their thoughts to form an unblocked conduit with ambient Mana in the environment. This increases the recovery speed of MP and Stamina. Acquired at level up.

Point Strike I - With a discerning eye, take aim at an oppenent's weak point and concentrate your own power into a single point of attack. Slightly increase the power of any attack, and gain an increased chance for a Critical Hit. Using this Skill in conjunction with other attack Skills, however, may cause it to lose effectiveness.

Spells:

Minor Heal III - MP Cost increased. HP Heal increased. Healing can now be used on deeper wounds, but is still less effective on bones. As an Active Spell Skill, you may use any rank of this spell you are capable of within the limits of your MP. - Acquired by using skill points at Level up.

Inspire I - Expend MP to imbue your words with magic, and cheer yourself or an ally. The target's next action will be boosted, whether it be an attack skill, a healing spell, or anything else. This Skill will not work if the target cannot receive your inspiration, but they may not necessarily have to hear you. If the Target is under a Curse or other debilitating effect, your Inspiration may cancel it out temporarily or undo it if the same action is being affected (attack power that has been lowered by a rank I Curse might be returned to normal by a rank I Inspiration, for example). / Gained at level 5

Spell Chant I - Magic is the unison of Nature, Spirit, and Will. Language is the expression of Will. Using personalized language as an aid in manipulating one's energy is the first step to conceptualization and understanding of what Magic truly is. Using a previously existing Spell Skill as the Base, you may enact one (1) alteration of the spell's typical qualities. Spell Chants will delay casting time by a default of 10 seconds, as any chant shorter than this will be ineffective. (Immature) Mighty Hipixie -
He looked pretty much the same, all things considered. If anything, his skin tone had grown healthier and deeper. His hair was more voluminous and longer. His wings were stronger and larger--and it felt that he could move them more precisely, as well. If he relaxed them, instead of folding behind him like a dragonfly they now hung somewhat like a stiff cape down his back. His chest still bore those three scars and his hands were still stained...

But now, he stood a full foot and a half taller than before, not quite as tall as any Goblin but much larger and broader than a Pixie. His body had become more muscular--or rather, the muscles he had actually looked like they fit this body, whereas before he had stacked muscle on a frame that clearly wasn't meant for it. Still, it seemed obvious given the degree of tone and size now present that a normal Hipixie still wouldn't be this...buff.

Ardur looks like a small person with light fair skin, shoulder length green hair, Golden glimmering eyes, and wings that look similar to green leaves. A few things stand out on his person. There are three round dark spots on his chest and back. Also his hands are stained purple up to his wrists.

Goals:

Ardur simply wishes to be Strong. Strong enough to protect others and take care of them. He will do what he must to push others so they can also grow and be better.

Past Life

Ardur was once known as Travis Smith and worked and lived in the weird city of Portland Oregon. Now Travis had a rather normal upbringing with nothing too significant happening to him. He had parents that worked in industry. His father, worked with shipping containers as a foreman. His mother, worked with air cargo as a manager. Both did rather well for their family and kept them in a modest home. He had two younger sisters, twins actually. Both were dead set on joining the navy after they graduated.

Now Travis learned early on through volunteer work with his high school, that helping others was what he wanted to do. So instead of joining up with the military, was able to get a few scholarships and went into paramedic courses and physical trainer classes. Both of which he excelled at, finding his purpose in helping others. He did adopt a strange and sometimes dark sense of humor through this to deal with the stressful work environment of a paramedic. he filled his down time with listening and singing along to a variety of different modern and classic music as well as watching nature documentary's to help him relax.

For a time his life was good. He did what he could to help others through work and volunteering. Travis learned more about himself then he expected too. Working one week on one week off was a bit of a pain but it allowed him to work with some local athletes in his free time. Travis eventually found himself to be quiet in the company of others, always with a smile on his face. He did tend to be a bit pushy toward the people he was working with. He wanted to see them grow and be great. Somehow he adopted a protective side to him as well, especially towards his friends or the people he loved. This protective instinct would eventually lead to his down fall.

Travis, now 32, was going to be married in three months to a beautiful short red head named Sara, who just so happened to be a couple months pregnant. Sara was the one person who could really light a fire under him and get him to do anything. She was his motivation to be better, she was his muse. The last night he would be working was a stormy one. Just past midnight with rain, wind, and thunder. A strong winter storm. He was called out with his partner to a domestic. Apparently the husband beat his wife up pretty bad then ran out into the night.

The two paramedics didn’t think anything of it. It wasn’t the first time they had been called out to something like this and it wouldn’t be the last. The police officers that stayed at the residence called out that the scene was safe as they approached. A severely beaten female sat on the hood of one of the police cars. Travis and his partner approached her and began to asses her injuries. The police officers were nearby interviewing some neighbors when it happened. He saw him out of the corner of his eye. A man brandishing a revolver came at them from in between a few houses intent on killing the woman.

Travis didn’t think he only reacted. Grabbing the woman and turning away from the man he tried to push her away and around the ambulance. He remembered hearing thunder and a scream. The thunder rang out three times but all he felt was cold as he hit the wet pavement. Several other flashes of lights and thunder rang out into the night as the last thing he remembers was thinking that Sara was going to kill him for this. The blurry and muted voice of his partner and the other officers continued in his head until everything faded, and he was alone and cold.

Then suddenly there was light and a voice talking about rebirth and demon kings. He thought he was hallucinating and thought this was just some sort of way his body dealt with the sudden loss of function, so he decided to play along. So many choices he wondered which one would suit him? The slime seemed nice but strange, the dire Rat just reminded him of filth and garbage. Then there was a wisp it seemed more of a loner and mysterious.

The goblin simply reminded him of stories of greed and madness, both things he dealt with regularly before and wasn’t too keen on continuing that. The serpent seemed interesting but seemed more designed to inflict lasting pain or torture and that wasn’t what he stood for. Finally, he was introduced to the Pixie. A strange creature sure, weaker than the others but a healer. Something that supports groups without inflicting too much pain. This is what he decided on and in an instant he felt cold again but also strange like waking up from a bad dream.

Gird

Name: Gird

Appearance:
Hobgoblin "The Variant" - This goblin has been changed in a more dramatic way then his siblings. Throughout his interactions and his training, he was changed making him as large as the others that have evolved however his skin tone has changed to that of pale white. This makes him stand out easily however his skin tone gives him the special affinity for death. His skin has gone pale and as such it will make him harder to not be seen however he can just as easily train his skill to blend with the environment. His claws have grown longer and sharper rivaling that of a wolves claws and his teeth have since become sharper as well making his biting skill more effective. Clearly if looked on in the right light he might look like a wraith or a vengeful ghost. He still has the three claw marks over the right side of his head and ear, as well as the mark on his left side. These marks, although still pale, are slightly darker than his current skin tone. Thanks to his goddess Duvelna, he now has 4 black claw marks stretching from the top of his right shoulder to his lower left abdomen as a sign of his faith.

Goblin - Gird has an average height and strong build. His skin is a darker than average shade of green with lighter green blotches abound giving him an almost natural forest camouflage. Gird also has two white birth marks. One looks like he was scratched by something with three claws down the right side of his head, and the second looks almost like something big bit him in the left side of his abdomen. His black hair is normally kept short and his eyes hold a yellow color.

Personality: Stoic, Brave, Stubborn, and Blunt are a few words that can describe this particular male. His loyalty to the tribe will not falter for any promise of gold or harm. He holds within him a sense of duty to his people and will do what he thinks he must do to protect them.

Past Life History: Grid was once known as Victor. A tall brute of a man with a soft spot for animals. Victor worked with a group that protected endangered animals from poachers by hunting poachers. He was even able to befriend a few of the wild animals that were around. But one day while on patrol he was mauled to death by a wounded predator.

Skill: Beast Tammer — a trait carried over from his past life. It allows him to befriend and tame beasts. Some that are lower level than he is, to the point he wouldn't learn anything from them, may very well simply ignore him or treat him as one of their own. Either way Gird seems to have a natural affinity with taming or understanding beasts and monsters.

Other: He simply wishes that one day he will be a mighty goblin that will be able to protect his tribe for years to come.

Sharp Bite: Sharpened bite is a relatively simple move allowing the user to perform a bite attack and draw blood not useful in most situations but when to use in close range fights can decisively turn the tide of battle, when upgraded can tear off limbs of enemies with ease.

Knowledge of the 3: knowing the names of the god and goddesses of the world they live in they can now properly worship them. Ramos god of light and the sun, Duvelna goddess of death and the night, Shirila the goddess of the earth and nature.

Unarmed combat, beginner: learned how to fight with ones bare hand and understands how to block and strike with one's own hands

Rookie camouflage: This goblin has learned how to use the environment to its advantage and hide even in plain sight. At higher levels will grant total camouflage regardless of environment.

Bloody strike: this goblin has learned to find the most vulnerable part of its prey and strike to cause massive bleeding damage. Warning: ineffective against inanimate objects or undead.

Gravekeepers spirit: These goblins are able to feel the strength of those that have long since passed. When near a dead body or a skeleton the goblins are able to draw strength without the requirement of being necromancers. Even carrying a skull as an adornment allows the goblins to be stronger, faster, lighter as they draw strength. However, drawing all the strength of a certain dead body or their parts will cause it to disintegrate into dust.

Appearance
Strong and tall are two such things one would say about the half Russian half Norwegian boy at first glance. Then comes the blond hair, beard, and blue eyes. The boy stands at just over 6'3” and weighs 245 lbs. he is no stranger to hard work and his body shows it. Muscular, fit with many signs of scars and abuse taken from the elements and his father.

The boy’s hair is shaved at the sides and a bit longer than what it's supposed to be on top, always pushed back towards his shoulders. He will normally be seen wearing the simple standard issue green working uniform with polished black combat boots. He never really cared about being fancy and tends to keep his uniform neat enough to not get called out on it.

Personality
With being young, strong, and fast most would not be wrong to assume his attitude would be reckless and overconfident. However, Victor tends to be more withdrawn and careful especially when speaking to others. He has an awful habit of being too blunt or not tactful enough in most situations. In turn this tends to make others think he is rude or shy. His body language normally portrays kindness and a willingness to protect others. In the heat of battle his eyes betray the cold killer that lies under the surface, one may even be able to see him smile.

But otherwise, he is still a boy hardened by a rough father who blamed him for his mother’s death. He isn’t too brash when talking to the opposite sex and wouldn’t be one to find them any less valuable. Any man or women that is willing to fight by his side is worthy of his respect. Although not a stranger to friendship and kindness, he honestly wouldn’t know what to do with himself if it ever came to love.

Experimental Gear

SU L-39 MK.3

The SU L-39 MK.3 is a Russian variant of the Finnish LAHTI L-39 Anti-Tank rifle. This version fires experimental High Explosive Anti Tank or HEAT rounds as well as Armor Penetrating rounds that contain a new shaped slug. both rounds have been designed to penetrate the thick armor of the new German war machines. This gun has also been designed to be lighter without making any more structural weaknesses. This weapon was designed with the intent to disable and capture enemy armor not destroy it.

Be Advised, the Automatic setting is not recommended to be used with HEAT rounds due to multiple jams. A jam could take several minutes to fix and it is advised that the jammed round be discarded in case it detonates while outside the breach. Do not aim at sloped or thicker front plates with this weapon as ricochet is likely. This weapon is not recommended for stealth missions as it is very loud and has a large muzzle flash when fired.

Background
Victor was born November 20th 1931 in Oslo Norway, to an old Russian military man and veteran of the great war and a young beautiful Norwegian women who was an aspiring actress. Both were deeply in love and planned to live together in Norway with his fathers two children from another women and their new born son. But alas tragedy struck in the form of an infection that, even through many treatments would ultimately claim his mothers life a few months later. This would be something Victors father would blame him for, for the next 10 years.

After this his father became depressed and turned to the bottle to help. Erasing his plans of living in Norway the man took his three children back to Russia and the USSR. There they would continue their lives in the family home they hopped would only be used for vacations. While his father took to long days at work in the propaganda department of the USSR and long nights out at the bars and out of the house his aunt and a few other family members helped to care for the children, his sister Sara who was 6 and his brother Ivan who was 8.

For the next ten years his father would deal with his anger and unresolved issues by continually beating all of his kids. Victor learned early on how to stay out of the mans way and out of sight. For a time before his older brother left he would hide and let his brother take most of the beating. By the time he turned 8 and his brother was out of the house most days either working in the factories or doing training with the army to prepare for boot camp. This left 8 year old Victor and his rather frail 14 year old sister to his fathers wrath. It was at this time Victor started to stand up to his father, provoking him, so he would come after him and not his sister. His sister by this time was very familiar with how to properly treat wounds and as such got plenty of training for the hospital while at home.

When Victor turned ten he began to grow taller, stronger, and a bit more aggressive to the point where he was actively fighting back against his father. Still, to this day he is unsure of what prompted himself to do it but near his 11th birthday, after receiving a beating the night before, he ambushed his father with a wooden club. Beating the man to near death with the full intent of killing the man right then and there. Yet he stopped, the cruel father he had who showed very little emotion other than rage was crying.

It took him a year for his father to finally come to terms with himself and get over his alcohol addiction. Victor wouldn't be able to trust the man for a few more years to come, it was strange that after 12 years he finally had someone who he could call father. Being the only child left in the household with his sister off to nursing school and his brother off somewhere in the soviet air force left just him and his father. He slowly began to trust the man as they began to go hunting, his father teaching him how to shoot, track, clean a kill, and survive.

After a few years Roman began teaching him how to wield a sword and about the old Norse gods, a tradition passed from father to son on his mothers side. He knew that being openly religious would not be acceptable if he went on to be a soldier, so he practices in private and try's to keep it a secret. Victors mothers parents never had a son, so they passed on the knowledge to Roman who was planning on teaching it to both his sons before Anita died.

This was normal for him up until his 17th birthday, before this he would work with the local farms or construction crews around the city, growing stronger by the day. Then on his 17th birthday he signed up with the Soviet army, maybe while he was there he could help or protect others. His father wished him the best of luck and gave him their family sword to use in combat, Victor always just figured his father pulled some strings or called in a few favors to allow him to keep it.

Boot camp was interesting, the physical part wasn't anything he wasn't used too. He was able to pick up on the structure and daily routine of the military fairly well. After a little while he was even able to bond with a few of the other recruits and was looking forward to going to Moscow with them. That was until the letter, when they were being told where they were going he was pulled aside by an officer and given his orders. He was being assigned to a top secret project, something called Squad 914.

The boy stands at just over 6'3” and weighs 245 lbs. he is no stranger to hard work and his body shows it. Muscular, fit with many signs of scars and abuse taken from the elements and his father.

The boy’s hair is shaved at the sides and a bit longer than what it's supposed to be on top, always pushed back towards his shoulders. He will normally be seen wearing the simple standard issue green working uniform with polished black combat boots. He never really cared about being fancy and tends to keep his uniform neat enough to not get called out on it.

Personality
With being young, strong, and fast most would not be wrong to assume his attitude would be reckless and overconfident. However, Victor tends to be more withdrawn and careful especially when speaking to others. He has an awful habit of being too blunt or not tactful enough in most situations. In turn this tends to make others think he is rude or shy. His body language normally portrays kindness and a willingness to protect others. In the heat of battle his eyes betray the cold killer that lies under the surface, one may even be able to see him smile.

But otherwise, he is still a boy hardened by a rough father who blamed him for his mother’s death. He isn’t too brash when talking to the opposite sex and wouldn’t be one to find them any less valuable. Any man or women that is willing to fight by his side is worthy of his respect. Although not a stranger to friendship and kindness, he honestly wouldn’t know what to do with himself if it ever came to love.

Experimental Gear

SU L-39 MK.3

The SU L-39 MK.3 is a Russian variant of the Finnish LAHTI L-39 Anti-Tank rifle. This version fires experimental High Explosive Anti Tank or HEAT rounds as well as Armor Penetrating rounds that contain a new shaped slug. both rounds have been designed to penetrate the thick armor of the new German war machines. This gun has also been designed to be lighter without making any more structural weaknesses. This weapon was designed with the intent to disable and capture enemy armor not destroy it.

Be Advised, the Automatic setting is not advised with HEAT rounds due to multiple jams. A jam could take several minutes to fix and it is advised that the jammed round be discarded incase it detonates while outside the breach. Do not aim at sloped or thicker front plates with this weapon as ricochet is likely. This weapon is not recommended for stealth missions as it is very loud and has a large muzzle flash when fired.

Background
Victor was born November 20th 1931 in Oslo Norway, to an old Russian military man and veteran of the great war and a young beautiful Norwegian women who was an aspiring actress. Both were deeply in love and planned to live together in Norway with his fathers two children from another women and their new born son. But alas tragedy struck in the form of an infection that, even through many treatments would ultimately claim his mothers life a few months later. This would be something Victors father would blame him for, for the next 10 years.

After this his father became depressed and turned to the bottle to help. Erasing his plans of living in Norway the man took his three children back to Russia and the USSR. There they would continue their lives in the family home they hopped would only be used for vacations. While his father took to long days at work in the propaganda department of the USSR and long nights out at the bars and out of the house his aunt and a few other family members helped to care for the children, his sister Sara who was 6 and his brother Ivan who was 8.

For the next ten years his father would deal with his anger and unresolved issues by continually beating all of his kids. Victor learned early on how to stay out of the mans way and out of sight. For a time before his older brother left he would hide and let his brother take most of the beating. By the time he turned 8 and his brother was out of the house most days either working in the factories or doing training with the army to prepare for boot camp. This left 8 year old Victor and his rather frail 14 year old sister to his fathers wrath. It was at this time Victor started to stand up to his father, provoking him, so he would come after him and not his sister. His sister by this time was very familiar with how to properly treat wounds and as such got plenty of training for the hospital while at home.

When Victor turned ten he began to grow taller, stronger, and a bit more aggressive to the point where he was actively fighting back against his father. Still, to this day he is unsure of what prompted himself to do it but near his 11th birthday, after receiving a beating the night before, he ambushed his father with a wooden club. Beating the man to near death with the full intent of killing the man right then and there. Yet he stopped, the cruel father he had who showed very little emotion other than rage was crying.

It took him a year for his father to finally come to terms with himself and get over his alcohol addiction. Victor wouldn't be able to trust the man for a few more years to come, it was strange that after 12 years he finally had someone who he could call father. Being the only child left in the household with his sister off to nursing school and his brother off somewhere in the soviet air force left just him and his father. He slowly began to trust the man as they began to go hunting, his father teaching him how to shoot, track, clean a kill, and survive.

After a few years Roman began teaching him how to wield a sword and about the old Norse gods, a tradition passed from father to son on his mothers side. He knew that being openly religious would not be acceptable if he went on to be a soldier, so he practices in private and try's to keep it a secret. Victors mothers parents never had a son, so they passed on the knowledge to Roman who was planning on teaching it to both his sons before Anita died.

This was normal for him up until his 17th birthday, before this he would work with the local farms or construction crews around the city, growing stronger by the day. Then on his 17th birthday he signed up with the Soviet army, maybe while he was there he could help or protect others. His father wished him the best of luck and gave him their family sword to use in combat, Victor always just figured his father pulled some strings or called in a few favors to allow him to keep it.

Boot camp was interesting, the physical part wasn't anything he wasn't used too. He was able to pick up on the structure and daily routine of the military fairly well. After a little while he was even able to bond with a few of the other recruits and was looking forward to going to Moscow with them. That was until the letter, when they were being told where they were going he was pulled aside by an officer and given his orders. He was being assigned to a top secret project, something called Squad 914.
