@LetMeDoStuff why hello there friend. would you be willing to accept Victor Asimov back into the fray? I do plan on updating a few things from the old character, if you would have him.
Ardur The Pixie
Home sweet home >>>> It takes a lot more than just fancy flying /// day 8 // Morning

Ardur found himself stirring from his deep sleep rested and ready for the next day. The Pixie could feel his muscles and wings where a bit stronger and almost seemed lighter. His friend had curled himself around the pixies legs and seemed to be sleeping. Although still a little creepy, Ardur found the small black spider somewhat adorable in a strange way. His slight shuffling did seem to stir the spider as it wandered off to check its webs.

“Such a strange creature” he thought out loud while sitting on the stone floor of their small home. He did notice however that the spider did seem increasingly more docile and flat out friendly towards him. As well as being slightly larger than when he first happened upon the injured spider. Ardur was still uncertain as to if the spider was simply growing normally or if the repeated uses of his heal spell to help regrow the things legs over the last week was the cause of this. Further research and study was needed to prove which hypothesis was correct.

Yawning slightly the pixie moved the leaf clothes and spider silk he was wearing before heading for the opening of their small burrow. Leaning slightly out and into the open, Ardur took his time to look over the ground below. He was looking for anything useful to do. He wasn’t really hungry after eating a few bugs Steve left behind for him but was curious to see what everyone was up too today. Honestly he wasn’t all too picky when it came to food, he’s had much worse where he had come from and at times while he was growing up had nothing to eat at all.

For the moment though, it seemed that the goblins where off ally quiet. Their big bonfire seemed to be dimming and only a few seemed to be milling around it. He could see something making ripples in the deep pool near the back while also noticing a few more healing herbs and mana crystals that grew from the walls. With the abundant mana in the cave, he wasn’t all that surprised that these things grew back so quickly. After all, with no light he simply figured that the mana was the reason things around here where so plentiful.

The pixie took a moment longer to think about how lucky he was to have such a good vantage point here before finally deciding on what to do next. First he would try to glide around the cave a bit and get better bearings on what was around before trying to find his mighty steed once more. He only hoped the information his brother would always give him about fighter jets and airplanes would pay off. However, if he was unable to find his friend he would simply resort to trying out the new Lesser Flight II skill. And with that he was off.

Flying to the highest part of the cave he could get too, far out of the reach of any goblin and as far as he could tell anything that might cause him harm. Ardur did notice that there were several larger crystals up here unreachable by the goblins and left to grow on their own. A place he would have to visit again but for now all he wanted to do was fly. So with this he dropped from his perch sticking his arms and wings to his side to drop as fast as he could before spreading out his wings. Of course if this didn't work he would be sure to use his magic to keep him air born, but was trying to use as little as possible.

He hoped that his stronger wings wouldn't get hurt now with the sudden deceleration. But would continue to not use his flight and instead use the speed of him falling to power his flight around the cave. Ardur wasn't close to the ceiling or the floor and while being less agile he was very quick but could still turn for the most part. Any damage that may incur to his wings he was sure he could heal but didn't think that shield would protect him from that. For now, he would focus on this going fast could prove useful and more importantly annoying for others.

@Zeroth

@Crusader Lord@Kheliop@Jangel13 however, if the spider does not attack him he will not intervene. in all honesty Gird doesn't know how to hunt spiders. he has no idea of weather or not strumming the spindles will even do anything at all. its entirely a test, but he is hoping that whatever they are defending themselves from goes after them instead of him.
Gird wishes to see them kill something from start to finish... mostly so that he can see what they can do. besides I figured we were getting shared xp lol.
@Kheliop exactly.
Hobgoblin Gird
Frolicking in the forest >>>> Here there be monsters /// Day 5 // Morning

Gird wasted little time as he crept through the brush. He only answered his friends question with a nod while he examined the silken strands that slowly began to grow thicker and thicker. Most of the strands so far were mostly just annoying and sticky but a few thicker ones caught his eye. Reaching out and strumming the strands with his finger, he watched curiously as the vibration traveled off and into the dark forest ahead of them. It felt like the forest was breathing almost, as the vibration traveled and branched off onto other strands before leaving his view.

As the duo continued deeper into the silk forest, he began to notice tracks that were similar to his old ones. Almost instinctual, the hobgoblin knelt down and wafted some of the air up toward his face to see if the tracks still held any scent to them. He did remember from the cave and the first encounter with the alpha that goblins didn’t smell all that great. Gird wasn’t sure if he was able to do this but thought it was worth a try. Something did smell odd but before he could think about it another screech came from further down the trail.

Whatever it was sounded injured or hurt, however it did not sound like anything he had heard before. Moving as fast and quietly as he could, sometimes on all fours like an animal. Gird finally saw them. A pair of goblins. They were standing near a webbed tree as he rounded the corner. They seemed to be in a defensive position and one of the spears had what looked like blood of some kind on it. Standing up, so he could clearly be seen he took a few steps toward them before stopping.

He wasn’t sure what they were defending themselves from but by the way they looked into the trees he could only assume it was a spider. He didn’t make his presence known to them right away. Instead, he looked them over for a moment before reaching out to some thicker strands of webbing and began to strum them. Judging by the way the one from earlier sent vibrations down it he hoped this would lure out any creature that could be hiding nearby. He was also wondering how the two would react to the pale weaponless Hobgoblin.

@Kheliop@Jangel13@Crusader Lord If Gird gets to you two and gets ahold of that injured spider before you kill it, he may very well rip it in half to assert his dominance. lol
@Jangel13 well that's what happens when your supper into a cool story... and work is slow.
Hobgoblin Gird
Going on an adventure >>>> Frolicking in the forest /// Day 5 // Morning

Gird didn’t bother with the skeleton skulls for now but did take the time to wait for his companion to finish whatever it was she was doing. With the fresh coat of mud covering his bright skin he watched his friend as she put the bracelet on claiming that she now officially joined the ranks of Duvelna. After seeing this, he didn’t want to wait around any longer. “So first things first, find our other disciple of death then I would like to head north for some hunting of bats before making our way back to the cave to tell our elder of what happened.”

Finishing his sentence he believed that Luz was also ready to go, however she did something different instead. She seemed like she could see something he couldn’t. “Dark glow?” he asked as he glanced around himself. “Are you ok?” the hobgoblin furrowed his brow at her as he watched her come closer. She seemed like she wanted to touch him as she reached out towards him and finally asked about it. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, but sure go ahead.” Gird wouldn’t stop her from whatever it was she was doing.

After letting the girl finish inspecting him, he looked at her with a smile. “You don’t have to ask if you want to touch me I don’t really care. But right now, all I want to do is run.” and with a nod he turned toward the direction his instincts were pointing him in and dug his clawed feet into the ground hard. With a burst of speed that was, until today, unknown to him. Gird took off into the forest as fast as he could. Ultimately he was testing out his new speed, stamina, agility, and strength. He needed to find his limit and to know what it felt like, so he knew when he was getting close to tiring out.

Jumping, rolling, climbing, and dodging over downed trees and thick brush. These once formidable obstacles were now more like a playground to exercise and just feel free. The hobgoblin even found himself ignoring any wildlife he came across preferring to scare them and keep running then cause any harm, at least for now. However, the scream of a nearby creature pulled him from his slight adrenaline rush and made him change his course towards it. Gird soon found himself slowing down into a crouched walking position. The forest seemed to grow still and strange sticky strings began to envelop the surrounding plants, he was sure they were getting close to whatever made that scream.

@Jangel13

ill get a post up today. the sound of a shrieking spider sounds interesting... but I wonder how barth and nyma will react to a ghostly white hobgoblin with black scars and wolf like claws suddenly showing up behind them.
