Children of Light and Darkness at War: Can Love Bloom on a Battle Field? (Still unsure of the title) (no longer active)

Aurora bushed some leaves from her hair, sighing as she picked herself up from the ground once more. Ever since she had left Hale's cottage, the fairy had been struggling to get through the Deathwood. Even after the applications of healing magic on her wounded body, the injuries from the wraith still affected her person. The numbness of the left wing has caused her multiple instances of crashing into scenery, her body not notifying whether or not it was still in motion or not. She was usually much happier when she flew, but this inconvenience was making it real hard to find any enjoyment in flight.

She took off for the umpteenth time that day, floating off the ground and moving forward at a slightly starboard manner. Aurora course corrected herself, and kept her focus on the task of getting through the woods. It was starting to become more familiar to her, sighting some of the trees that she had cut in her chase of Basil. Inevitability caused her to reach the clearing where the battle from days before took place, markings of the lightning and fire used on that day still apparent on the ground. The fairy raised an eyebrow when she noticed a sort of book on the ground near the edge of the clearing, picking it up and looking over the cover. Who would leave a grimore on the ground in the middle of the woods?

A rustling sound alerted the brunette of the approach of presences to the clearing, the muffled sound of metal on thicket reaching her ears. Great, a heavily armored soldier, and she was still considered to be in Dark territory. Crap. She tried to fly from the area as fast as she could, but her wings took this moment, as it had many times earlier today, to not respond to her commands, sending her straight into a tree instead of around it. As she fell to the ground, landing on her back, Aurora saw two familiar figures come through the thicket. The general fron the invasion, and the witch from that day. Double crap.

Edit: Beryl's secret has become more of a secret, with only a single character who knows that he's actually a guy. It's not like he's trying to keep it a secret, but really doesn't want to cause conflict by bringing it to attention. This problem would "probably" never happen in real life, but whatever XD

Normal Appearance:
Brilliant, blue eyes, always filled with wonder, hiding behind a pair of black rimmed glasses. Sporting dirty blond hair, and Caucasian skin, along with a scarf that is present throughout the seasons. With a solid height of 5'11", he won't have too much trouble with speaking with people eye to eye. His build isn't quite bulky enough to be athletic, but he is obviously more fit than the average person.

The Dark Side of the Force

Personality:
Curious, daring, and naive. The young man has a fascination with the world that no adult, and sometimes even children, couldn't match in the slightest. Always trying new things, and finding new discoveries for himself; his search to understand the unknown can sometimes lead him astray from what is important at the time. His observation of the world around him is astounding, but is currently unaware of his own awareness, and how it could affect his life. If only he wasn't so focused on what he didn't know, he could understand what he DID know on a deeper level. When one speaks to the blond, he will always have a good word to share with another, and is happy to share his wonder of the world with whomever he speaks to. Those who seek to manipulate the boy are sometimes baffled by the boy's cognitive thought, and forget why they came to him in the first place, enraptured by his outlook of the world. Cynical and jaded individuals will not sway him, and neither will he, them. Always clashing, optimism versus pessimism. Anger is not a familiar emotion with him. If either side lashes out, he will be completely out of his comfort zone, and unable to react cognitively.

When he is Soul Fused with his Guardian, Zilla, he seems to become an entirely different person. His eyes don't radiate the wonder and beauty that they normally do, and his way of speaking becomes more vulgar. His smile seems to be less happy and more melancholy, as if he's seen things that no mortal should have the opportunity of witnessing. He becomes brash instead of daring, and seeks out danger like he would information. However, he is still caring at heart, and keeps the world around him a bit brighter, even when his magic makes it dark. Callum does not seem to notice this change when he Soul Fuses, but everyone else around him does, and that's the problem.

Bio:
A young man born with two parents, and who had lived with both parents for most of his life. An engineer for a father, and a photographer for a mother. This unlikely pair had filled his mind with knowledge of the world, molding it to find the beauty in everything, from nature to architecture to people. He had just recently pulled from them to gain independence and experiences that couldn't be found in Scotland.

Other:
-Animals are his favorite objects of study, but he would never hurt, let alone kill, one of them just to satisfy his thirst for knowledge. In fact, he wouldn't ever put anyone in danger for knowledge, no matter how 'evil' they are.

-Pocky is his favorite snack, but he is unaware of the game you could play with it.

-The pipes are an instrument he can play, the only instrument he can play, but he isn't exactly... good at it. (If the brown noise was a thing, he would be playing it. All the time. That's how bad he is.)

Touch of the Shoggoth: When the Soul Link is established, one, 30 feet long tentacle of a vile purple will appear around Callum. It is attached to his shadow, and is only as fast as he is. This tentacle is strong enough to smash solid steel beams, and just barely able to block an HE tank round, the tentacle taking massive damage in order to do so. It is unable to be completely destroyed, reforming if it is actually damaged by an attack, but drains Callum's energy immensely as it fixes itself. As he becomes stronger, the number of tentacles will increase, and the limit is unknown.

The Shoggoth's Sanctuary: Creating spheres of darkness within his hands, Callum can fire them at a target. These spheres will expand on contact, creating a 50-foot zone of pure darkness where nothing can be seen, inside or out, making the target unable to even see their own hand infront of their face as long as they are within the zone, but also making those outside unable to see the target. There is nothing that will stop the target from leaving the area, except for Callum with his TotS ready to smash whatever comes out of the zone. Effects will change or become greater as he becomes more powerful.

Personality:
Mischievous, flirtatious, but surprisingly distrusting, Zilla is a powerful compliment to Callum, going along with his "explorations" for this fun of it. If a teensy amount of the fun is a cause of mayhem, she'll be laughing about it for days. As long as nothing goes too out of proportion for her to handle, she'll play with it as long as she can. She likes to be touched and to touch others, if only platonically, leading to Callum having to hold her hand/ tentacle when walking down the street to keep her on task. She will flirt with others, but she will rarely mean for it to lead to a serious relationship, only doing it for the embarrassment and hilarity it causes. They may not see eye to eye about how the world works, but Zilla is slowly being drawn into to world of wonder that Callum sees every day of his life. She is loyal to her human, and would do anything to protect him or keep him smiling the way he does. The smile that lights up the world that seems to be so dark. However, her thoughts and feelings bleed into her human when they Soul Link, and one would wonder how such a funny personality could cause a dramatic shift in outlooks, especially within Callum of all people.
