I'm starting to think that 'Buyer's Remorse' is my whole life. At least once a week I spend money on something randomly then think 'Why did I do that?'

That and while being ghosted sucks, people often have just as bad as a reaction to people they see complaining publicly about other RPers.

I've always refrained from making a big deal out of it because it's almost always against site rules. It's something that is just, part of RP. I only ghost people when they make me uncomfortable.

There's no point in having a discussion with someone who can't make a response without calling someone a Nazi. Like I said, you can't reason with someone who is not reasonable. Get help.

Unless someone else particularly wants to, I can kick it off.

Go for it.

Also I've given Morgan her visual update on her character sheet, now that she's back to her old self. Mostly.

A large blue tank with yellow stripes drove through the sand, and veered off in the direction of a grouping of cargo containers and wreckage. The vehicle swerved every once in a while, not keeping on a straight line for too long. Then from the wreckage, there was a glint as the sun reflected off something particularly shiny. A moment later, a brighter flash of light, and a shot came flying over the sand, flying right over the head turret of the tank. The tank however... took aim, and fired back in the direction of the glint it saw.

Barely hidden in the wreckage, was a large black machine resting on four legs, each with tracks capable of moving it in any direction. Atop the machine was a large gun, itself bigger than the entirety of the tank it just fired at.

Inside, Celica sighed as she held one eye shut, looking through the lens of a digital scope. "I would really appreciate it, if you all would leave me alone..." She fired another shot, intentionally short as it exploded in the ground, kicking up a wall of sand in front of the tank. But it just kept coming, and even took another shot at her. Gritting her teeth, she spoke as if the driver of that vehicle was able to hear her... "I do not condone senseless violence, and I do not wish to end the life of those who do not deserve it. But if you are unwilling to see reason, and leave me be, then I am left with no choice..." And with that, she raised the scope, taking aim at the center of the approaching vehicle. Just as it took another blind shot in her direction, she squeezed the trigger, and the third shot from the barrel let loose... and less than a second later, there was only a cloud of sand, and smoke, which settled to reveal a blackened, smoldering heap of metal that was moments before, a fully functioning vehicle.

Celica leaned back in her seat, releasing the controls with a long sigh. "Even when the fighting calms down, there's still scavengers who won't let me leave..." She took a moment before leaning forward again, gripping the controls to bring back the scope and look around. She couldn't see much directly, but she could tell there was still fighting going on out there. And she had been trapped here for... was it days by this point? It felt like days, maybe it was just hours.

"What's the point of finding all these supplies if I have to keep eating it all up to fabricate more ammunition? Maybe Alma was right, I should have stuck with at least one energy weapon... sure would be making a whole world of difference right now." She brought up a screen showing the integrity of her machine, and multiple portions of it were red. "Can fabricate all the ammunition in the world, it's not going to matter if this thing falls apart, not like I can fabricate a whole engineering bay and strap more armor to it." She scrolled through the components, adding "Or fabricate an entirely new core for that matter..."

She couldn't help but think back to all the times she had been in trouble, and how it was always others getting her out of it. Whether it was Rock or Alma's squad, she always got in over her head, and needed someone to save her. "Here we go again, stuck in a situation I have no way out of, and no choice but to ask for help... But I doubt the FrontierNav reaches this far, I wonder if they would even be able to find my location..." Without any other choice, she brought up another screen, input some information, and then recorded a message... though she absolutely had no idea what to say.

"Uhm, this is Celica... I have found a wreckage site full of resources, but unknown factions are warring all around me. Any attempts at leaving my hiding place have been met with... well, violence. I would really prefer to not have to keep shooting at people I don't know, so please, someone, anyone... I would greatly appreciate some assistance. I am sending my coordinates with this message. My surroundings are currently... well, everything is orange... including the cargo I am using as cover... if that, is of any help." And with that, she leaned back again, swiping a few more things on the holographic screen, and eventually, a cannister opened up atop the machine, and shot out a probe that landed nearby, starting to blink with light. It began repeating Celica's message on all known friendly frequencies, though it wasn't exactly the most difficult thing to pick up.

The real trouble was that she had just sent out a message saying how she was effectively in possession of a large amount of supplies... and that beacon was now beeping a code that gave out her exact coordinates each time it finished replaying her message.

Brilliant job Celica.
Max watched as Lucian left with his father and uncle in tow before turning to look at Morgan. He wondered if she had a keyblade as well. He knew of her training in magic, but it seemed like everyone that ended up on that island received one. “Hey,” he said, finally cutting the silence. “Do you want to join in on helping your friends?”

Even with the silence broken, there was a long pause from Morgan, who had gone back to staring at the statue. She had been quiet since she woke up, only asking a few questions, trying to understand all this. It was a lot to take in… that contact had been lost with the world she was from. That this great Wizard that EVERYONE seemed to come to for help was not only just her mentor, but they came from the same world, and she was once his direct apprentice? And the hardest part to believe of all, that she was a Princess of some far off Kingdom, who had Knights protecting her everywhere she went. Looking at herself now… it was hard to imagine any of that. Just trying to remember those things made her head hurt, made the world around her blur, as if filled with static.

“My friends…” She repeated the words, as if trying to understand them, likely due to the fact she was so lost in her own thoughts. Turning her head, looking over her shoulder at Max, she said “I have only known them for a few months now, they are all… different. They all manifested these weapons, those, keyblades.” She held up her hand and looked at it, before adding “I can barely conjure ice, it happens when it wants to, but to hear that I was once some, master Mage capable of powerful magic…” She clenched her first, before continuing… “I suppose, for all they did for me, they deserve my help, even if they may not need it. I’m not sure of what help I can be, I have caused more harm with my magic than good. And with them all wielding those Keyblades… and me not having any such thing…” She stared at the orb, where she could see Lucian soon joining the fight, as she said “How does a Princess come to the aid of heroes…”

It was Merlin who stepped in, as he said “Well, it makes sense. Black Magic was never your specialty, and not something you ever mastered, or even tried to for that matter. You were well versed in White Magic, healing and light magic as it were. Not to mention Astrology, the magic of the stars. However, it would seem that, for whatever reason, as you lost your memory, Black Magic is what you have clung to. I would say it is because Black Magic is itself, an instinctual magic… but it does not matter. So, this is my advice, as your mentor. Let go of what you have been told about how you were once the master of any sort of magic. See yourself as you are, an apprentice mage who has barely begun her journey to learn magic. You must learn the basics, before you try anything too advanced. I’m sure Daisy here can help you along with a few of the basic spells. And though I use words such as ‘basic’, do not misunderstand. Magic, in any form, can be dangerous. Even the beginner spells you will start with, will be more than a match for the heartless you come up against."

“I'd be happy to teach you,” Daisy said, stepping in. “We can train on our Gummi Ship between worlds and on other worlds when we're not fighting.”

“And I think a princess has every right to be a hero. Whoever says she can't be the one doing the saving? And yeah, your friends may have keyblades and you don't really have a handle on your magic, but none of that makes a hero. It's the desire to protect and help others. That's why I became a knight and all I needed was that desire and this lance.” He conjured his lance and hoisted it on his right shoulder. “So I ask again, do you wanna help your friends?” Whether she was convinced they were friends or not, he didn't care. He had the evidence that proved it before he gave it to Lucian.

“My friends…” She said it again, as she did the first time, like the concept was a mystery to her. This time though, she was thinking back to before they left the island, the things that were said, about no matter where they go, how they were going to be in each other’s hearts. Who said that? What she remembered most though was how when everybody came in to embrace each other, she didn’t, she didn’t feel like she deserved it. Even though they had helped her, given her a place to stay, dealt with her memory loss, she didn’t feel like she had earned their friendship. Whatever she considered them, she had no idea what they considered her. But, that meant there was only one choice. If she didn’t deserve their friendship, if she hadn’t earned it… well, now was the time to start.

She looked back to Max, and nodded. “I haven’t been a great friend to them so far, so it’s hard for me to think of them as friends, because I don’t feel like I earned that from them. But Lucian came all this way to help me, and without him I wouldn’t be here. So, it’s time to start earning that friendship, and let them decide if I deserve it.”

Merlin gave a little hop and a skip, with a cheery “By jove that’s the spirit! Well, you’re most of the way there anyway. One more thing before you go…” He stepped over to the Fairy Godmother, whispering in her ear.

A smile crept on the Fairy Godmother's face. This was her favorite part. She lifted her wand and said, “Bippity boppity boo, let's make your old clothes like new!” With a flick of the wrist her spell released from her wand and enveloped Morgan.

As magic swirled around Morgan, a wooden staff appeared in her hand, and her more modern clothes glowed and lengthened, leaving her in a white robe, and a tall pointed hat, just like how she looked in the painting on the wall back in Merlin’s shop. She looked like her older self again, at least somewhat.

“There we go, a Witch must look the part, now… on you go, and remember, you always have a place to rest here with me, whenever you need it.”

Morgan gripped the staff, trying to get a feel of familiarity for it… but there was no time for that, as soon she was out the door, running off in the direction all the noise was coming from.

Max smiled, watching Morgan's determination on display. He followed after her with Daisy in tow. If she was going to earn their friendship he was going to earn hers by helping her with this goal.

By time the Trio arrived at the location of the battle, a mass of Lesser Heartless had started to swarm, blocking them from reaching the others. Morgan could see some fighting a much larger Heartless, but they couldn’t get to them from their location. Of course, it only took a few moments for a large portion of them to notice them, and turn ready to attack. Unlike back on the island, these Heartless didn’t hesitate, charging at them.

Morgan thought quickly, and held up her staff. “Max, hold them off as best you can, we need just a minute.” Then looking to Daisy she said “I need your help, let’s create a path to the others, we’ll work better if we can all group up together.” And then, she started channeling an ice spell, having to work through the ‘how’ as it came up, eyes closed to focus. Her intent was to create two walls of ice straight through the Heartless, blocking them off and making a safe path… at least one that would hopefully hold long enough for them to get through. Naturally, she was trying to hurry as she didn’t expect Max to hold off a whole ocean of Heartless on his own for long.

Max nodded and made a dash toward the Heartless, impaling the first one on his lance. Before it could fully dissipate he swung his lance before thrusting it forward on another to make a Heartless kebab. They tried to wriggle free, but that only hastened their defeat. They dissipated around his lance freeing the weapon to face more.

Fortunately he didn’t have to hold them long, before Morgan and Daisy managed a spell that created an explosion of ice that ran in a line straight toward the larger Heartless, a wall of ice rising up on both sides. Almost immediately the Lesser Heartless started to claw at it, trying to break through.

Morgan had to take a moment, not used to actually intentionally using magic, but with no time to waste, she quickly said “I don’t think that will hold them for long…” She ran down the path, and they really didn’t have long as she suspected, as just as soon as they were running through the path, the ice was starting to crack. By the time they came out the other side, finally joining the rest of the group, it shattered behind them, and the Heartless poured in, surrounding them once again.

“Great job, Morgan!” Max shouted in support as they made it through to the other side. He watched as the Heartless started to pour in again, but he wasn't worried. They had three keyblade wielders, three magicians, and two knights. Even if two of the wielders were tired and bruised the odds were still in their favor. He hoped.

Well, hello again! Seems like it's a good season for returns. If you're down for a one-post-a-week commitment then we'd be happy to have you. It's a good time to jump in as well, since we're in a bit of downtime before the next mission, with people spreading out over the Paved Wilderness for short adventures. Or, you could join team Detectives and Dog to the northeast near Martira, whose members are looking to crack a case of missing children at the nearby Curien Mansion.

Who're you thinking of playing?

How good of a time to join are we talking? Been peeping in every once in a while... have no idea what's ACTUALLY going on but, keep coming back and thinking about this. So curious if you think you're too full up or not!
<Snipped quote by Sadu>

Do you want to start it?

Wreck it Ralph is actually Disney. But I'm honestly cool with DreamWorks worlds being part of the KH Verse. They've always felt like they fit under the Disney/Pixar Umbrella. I still plan on having Alias going to El Dorado after Anastasia. So if any of you want to visit worlds like Shrek, Sinbad, How to Train Your Dragon, and Kung Fu Panda in this or later games, let me know.

See that's what I get for asking such questions at like 2 in the morning.

I was mainly looking forward to a potential trip to Berk later down the line. And I think Po could accidentally teach people a thing or two about hearts with his whole 'The secret ingredient to awesomeness is just, you' bit.
@Sadu

Do you want to do a collab with me as Max and Daisy?

Sure.

By the way... seeing as how there are official links between KH and Dreamworks... (And by that I mean Wreck it Ralph being a summon and not a whole lot else) I know we've talked about it in the past but officially, how are we feeling about Dreamworks worlds?

The only issue I see is the Villain plan for Kingdom Hearts 1. With them being aware of Royal Authority and what it is and does-

Nah, the plan is they specifically DON'T know what it is or what it does.

Maleficent, at most, knows it exists, therefor she pretty much assumes it is of great importance, and so she's out to get it. She doesn't know what it's for, how many there are, or even what it does. She just knows if there's an essence of power out there that seeds itself in great rulers of worlds, she wants it for herself.

Young Xehanort is absolutely clueless about it, not even knowing where to start.

Old Xehanort, coming later, is aware that it is a part of the key to unlock Kingdom Hearts, but he does not have the full information on the how and why. He doesn't know how many there are, or how to use them. This is why he hasn't made his move yet. The information he requires was entrusted to Eraqus, not him.

The knowledge of Royal Authority is entrusted to only a very select few, namely Merlin, Yen Sid, and Eraqus, potentially Ansem the Wise, and Mickey as well. This is why Xehanort will later on require an advisor knowledgeable in the specifics of Royal Authority to guide him.

Currently, they know about the Princesses of Heart. Maleficent however doesn't even know if Royal Authority and Princesses of Heart are connected in any way.
Is alice going to remain a Princess of Light after everything that is going to happen in Wonderland?

Also we can say that each Princess must be granted the blessing from a ruler with Royal Authority. But the remaining six rulers must all unanimously grant their blessing to the magus themself.
I think we need to decide on a solid list of who the Princesses of Heart are for KH1.

The reason I don't really want us to just, increase the number of Royal Authorities, is because ultimately each Royal Authority is supposed to be bound to a Princess of Heart. Each Princess of Heart is meant to be tied to one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

If we just say instead 'now there's thirteen Royal Authorities', then now we just kinda randomly have 6 extra of them for... no particular reason other than because we think there are characters who would fit the bill of hosts for it. The Royal Authority is not really a power that grants abilities or anything. It is itself, a power that can be granted to a Princess of Light, allowing them to aid in the opening of Kingdom Hearts. The full method is:

"Seven Princesses of Light, Purged of Sin, and Granted Royal Authority, Will Empower a Grand Magus to Shatter the Seals, and Open the Path to Kingdom Hearts"

So each Princess of Light needs to defeat the sin they are linked to (So, Kida needs to defeat Greed), and then be empowered by Royal Authority. At which point, all seven can come together, channeling their power into a powerful mage, like Merlin or Yen Sid, and then they can break the seven seals.

Royal Authority is, at its most basic level, the ability to give permission for Kingdom Hearts to be opened. Royal Authority, when hosted in a ruler, grants them the right to give a Princess of Light their 'blessing' for Kingdom Hearts to be opened. If a single ruler does not think it should be opened, and therefor refuses to grant that blessing to a Princess of Light, then simply put, there is no way of getting around it. That ruler must be convinced otherwise, or they must be defeated, and their Royal Authority claimed by another who is willing to grant the blessing.

Something to keep in mind is that, Royal Authority isn't really meant to be a major plot point until KH2. As of right now, Young Xehanort is just spreading evil, being a bad guy, trying to spread darkness and all that. He isn't really at the point where he has that 'big plan'. That's on Old Xehanort, who will make his first appearance come the Organization storyline.

So it's not really meant to be central to the plot right now. There will be moments where something happens with it, but it's much, much too soon to be worrying about who has Royal Authority. So if Maleficent is trying to find it in Tarzan's world, and Kerchak has it, then it will most likely leave the world entirely come the end of KH1. It may stick around for a while in Tarzan, but...

If you think of Kingdom Hearts like a semi-sentient will of the universe, then it would not want one of the Royal Authorities to remain in a place that not only have agents of darkness already come looking for it, but have already killed its host once. That means they know it's there, and Tarzan, and everything he loves, would become a target.

The original idea was that every wielder of Royal Authority would have a direct relation to a Princess of Heart, or at least, for example, as direct as Mulan and the Emperor are. The only exceptions would be whatever is going on with Uther, and then Mickey... for literally no reason other than it just wouldn't make any sense if Mickey Frickin' Mouse didn't have Royal Authority as King.

However there are explanations for both of those cases. With Mickey's explanation being, Royal Authority would remain hosted inside a King of great power, with a heart of pure light, like Mickey, who already does so much to keep the worlds safe from darkness. So despite him not having any direct relation to a Princess of Heart, he has been, effectively, PERMANENTLY entrusted with Royal Authority.

Probably because there needs to be one instance of someone wielding Royal Authority, who doesn't have personal ties to the Princess of Light they bestow their blessing on. As a father is more likely to say yes to a daughter, for example. Mickey must make the decision of granting his Royal Authority to a Princess of Heart, completely without bias.
