I will agree on that, however, there are a few loopholes which allow the characters to bring weapons to school.

First off, sword/katana users can bring a nonlethal sword to the building for kendo club and store it in the teams club house.

Bow users can join archery club and bring their own bow and arrow to school, and store it in the club house also.

Spears and Staves can start off as props and be taken to drama club and stuff. All these weapons can be upgraded and such.

Sledgehammers... I've got nothing, but I do have a good idea. When characters have access to the velvet room, they can improve their weapons through Henrietta while retaining the prop weapons. Also, Kato can probably sneak a pipe easily by the school.

Yeah, but do you really think the guards are going to let them in? Plus, the same group of teens heading to the amusement park with visible or hidden weapons? Suspicious much, and attracting some attention?

Well, P4 and P3 made their names based around the real world happenings/cover (SEES wasn't Tartarus Expedition Team, and Investigation Team wasn't the Midnight Channel Fanatics or whatever), so we should make the team name based on the mirror world's impact to the real world.And Noboru feels more like to me the unfortunate kid right now who is often on the receiving end of everyone else's shenanigans.

The school club is going to be more or less a cover up for what the team actually does - fight shadows, and figure out things about the mirror world... Besides, the characters need a base of sort to store their weaponry, and discuss a plan without appearing too suspicious... Well, sort of anyways.

Lets see, there's going to be a few clubs that Kami may join...

Expect him and Rui to be possibly friendly rivals of sorts in the Kendo Club.
And he might join a few new clubs and create a new club based around the plot.

Seems like all of the characters shadow selves are heading to a specific area. Maybe you'll encounter a few more people in your endeavors, maybe not.
