Alright, I believe I fixed everything Lug mentioned! Feel free to now rereview the place where I posted my original copy of Gray!
Maybe save your backstory on a separate document? That way you can still keep it and consult it as needed. Hell make it a google doc and invite others to make comments if you really want. One of the most satisfying background stories came about when I did just that.I already have this saved somewhere, but thanks for the recommendation!
Virgin aye? Well, not for long :DHow many perverted characters do we have in this roleplay xD
By the way, you don't have to make so many spaces between the paragraphs. One is fine. That would probably help with the length as well. (don't worry you're not the only advanced level guy. WE CAN MAKE OUR LONG POSTS TOGETHER.)That's mainly the consequence of using my phone to copy and paste stuff, apologies on the spacing.
Oh only 23 pages well that's positively tiny. Though when you realize most CSes rang from 2 to 8 pages on Microsoft Word depending on the literacy of the RPer and detail of the character. When you take that into consideration you start to see what the problem might be. Namely that no one is going to want to read your CS. The CSes are meant to be a referance for appearance and personality and the like so someone who needs that referance doesn't have to read through the entire IC looking for a particular something but when they are as long as yours it is quicker to read though the IC. Simply speaking your CS isn't practical for what a CS is supposed to do, we don't need every detail of the characters life and every personality quirk just a general over view is perfectly fine.Fair enough statement, however when I usually get into things it results in me making a very huge ass backstory with the myriads of things you mentioned. I can understand where this is coming from, and i'm sorry if it caused you any trouble.
Lug didn't want the backstory explained in the CS but rather intended to have it fleshed out by characters in the IC. Also nobody likes it when someone posts a novel as a CS. Seriously that thing is longer than entire pages of the OOC.Withdrawing backstory, also it isn't a novel, it's only twenty three pages in Microsoft Word :P In all seriousness, i'm removing that backstory. Ignore it, it was never there!
Nice Dragonfable picture, by the way.Actually the character picture is from a character in Ib, but that works too!
Now that's just annoying xD Not a GM, but I find the idea of a guy who splits into his own team a bit iffy >_> Main nitpick? Clones having their own auras (That's how i understood it). Imho clone doesn't have a soul to draw aura from... or at least shouldn'tI need to work on a few things and tone down some stuff, but hey I'll make sure it is rather... Workable. I can do a little bit of explaining on it. Those clones are split personalities of Gray... So in a nutshell, they're all the same people and yet they are seperate entities. The reason the clones can use aura is that they draw aura from Main/Original Gray. When you equate from that, it seems fine and dandy until you realize they share the damage a specific Gray takes and such. If one Gray uses up too much aura, they will all tire out. In a nutshell, if this was a video game, they would all share one health bar. Also, please tell me what Lug wouldn't like, and I'll adapt the application a bit. If it reached the point of where we can't come to a conclusion i'll just scrap the whole thing. Please tell me what he wouldn't like and I'll see if I can work with it, because i'm honestly fine with getting rid of a few of these things.
[Scythe/Melee Mode]
Link to the Crossbow just in case image isn't working
[Crossbow/Ranged Mode]
[Dual Swords/Magic Mode]
Lunar Edge; also known as a High-Powered Dual Dust Crossbow Sword Scythe, abbreviated to HPDDCSS
The Lunar Edge is Grays choice of weapon due to the fact that it was his first personal weapon that he built after gaining his two other personalities. Its main mode is a scythe like object which can be considered a rather dangerous weapons in the hands of Gray due to his mild obsession with learning how to use his weapon, and its main mode. Depending on what dust he is using with the scythe, he can create a sort of elemental shield of sorts by spinning the scythe in front of him. Depending on the light intensity of a place can affect the overall strength of the weapon. If in a well lit, generally bright place, the strength of this weapons mode won't change. However, during the night or in a place filled up mostly to the brim with darkness, this weapon will emit a low hum before glowing like the moon in the sky above. This causes the weapons mode strength to be more devastating to enemies, and can sometimes let out what he would like to call Slivers of the Moon. This causes what looks to be a glowing moon fragments shoot out forward at the enemy that are in the shape of a crescent. These slivers can only travel so far, and the farther they go, the less damage they deal.
The next form of attack is its crossbow mode. This mode can only be used if Gray has any dust on him. Due to being conservative, he still needs a little more work on this mode, but he is mastering it rather quickly. Depending on what type of due he has will result in an specific dusts element shaped like an arrow. He can also overload when only when using the element of wind. This causes Gray to be propeled in the opposite direction at rather swift speed. If he runs into something, it will cause massive damage to the enemy and will also harm Gray himself. When using wind, he can't deal damage, but can use this as a method of traveling through the air. All he needs to do to keep flying is keeping his hand on the trigger.
The final form of Lunar Edge is its dual sword mode. This weapon can be formed without combining the two carry mode pieces together. However, due to a few problems with the weapon when dual wielding, he can't really properly defend himself. Gray can easily wield one of these at a time, but it won't hurt as much when using both at the same time. This weapon can use two types of dust at the same time without having to switch, making for some interesting and devastating combos. (Note - Despite the picture showing one sword, there are actually two icly.)
When in carry mode, it switches into two small sheathes that look to be rather thin in appearance. These two items can easily clip onto the boys pants, or belt.
Aura Color: Gray mainly. Can sometimes turn white or black depending on the circumstances of his current personality.
Semblence:
Gray is able to clone himself us in his semblence, creating another version of him as a result of his personality. He is able to split up due to this and enables him to help any of his allies with his aura and abilities.
This allows him to cover a wide range of weaknesses, and allows him to use different tactics to survive a battle. When his aura is being used by any of the Grays, the weary effects you get from using it affects all each Gray.
Also, the main Gray can give mental commands to the other three and can switch his view to see what the other two are up to. This can give him a certain advantage in myriads of situations depending on positioning.
Each Gray gets a certain "buff" as I would like to say when fighting. The Original Gray gets a major buff to his defense and attack, allowing him deal huge amounts of damage while taking insane amounts of damage. OG also gets a minor boost to speed which makes him a bit faster. Penumbra/Black Gray gets a major buff to speed and attack which allows him to swiftly move across the battlefield at insane speeds and deal huge amounts of damage. P/BG also gets a minor boost to defense, which makes him a little tougher. Umbra/White Gray gets a major buff to attack and speed which allows him to swiftly move across the battlefield at insane speeds and deal huge amounts of damage. U/WG also gets a minor boost to defense which makes him a little tougher.
Even though they're all considered to be clones, they can also feel the same pain and struggle of each other. If one of them gets hurt, the other two will feel harm as well. However, as long as the main Gray stays alive, they should all be able to survive.
Another weakness is they can often do their own thing since all three of them have minds of their own. They have their own personalities, strengths, weaknesses, etc.
Gray can only have two clones alive at the same time. If he repeatedly remakes clones within a short period of time, it would tire him out as if he was using aura.
Another weakness is they can only wield one weapon. They can't have their weapons switch over with the mechanism, and are forced to use the weapon they are wielding until the semblence is over.
Original Gray wields a Scythe and has the clothes you see in his picture.
Penumbra/Black Gray wields a Crossbow and has white hair and black clothes that look similar to OG.
Umbra/White Gray wields Dual Blades and has black hair and white clothes that look similar to OG.
I can either work with this, or do a what if scenario in which my character decided not to head off to Vacuo... These choices are difficult to make! Make a new oc or use an oc that equates to a wall of text.Anyone know of a specific fairy tail which tells a story of an insane painter? Because if not I think i'll just wing the app.Not a fairy tail but Vincent van Gogh did cut off his ear xD"Last Sunday night at half past eleven a painter named Vincent Vangogh, appeared at the maison de tolérance No 1, asked for a girl called Rachel, and handed her ... his ear with these words: 'Keep this object like a treasure.' Then he disappeared. The police, informed of these events, which could only be the work of an unfortunate madman
Actually I made that post before I posted about colours in the RWBY RP.Oh, well... Uh... Anyways, I guess it's time to get this show on the road! All we just need to wait for now is Swordfish to deny his shadow and have it kick our asses kick its ass!
