So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

I feel like it may be useful if we push on regardless. Surely we have enough experienced players to keep going and have some element of fun?

I'm more interested in the Thirteenth Colony stuff.
@Dnafein from how it was explained in TLJ they weren't actually tracking rather, it was extremely accurate predictions.

Also hyperspace trackers do exist, but it's rare tech as the Empire had it just in prototype phase and I guess it was too expensive as it never took off. Instead SW relies on the older style of tracker, that activates when a ship drops out of hyperspace.

First Night of Gellor Rising

The drums resonated throughout the grand arena, the sound pounded at ones chest. The sound of the crowd, intoxicating. The jeering and leering as two unlucky souls fought one another down in the arena. A distraction for the masses, an outlet for their violent tendencies. A change in their dull lives from the standard routine of their jobs. A smile curled at the bottom of Kheris' lips. This would truly be a day to remember, for while now the two combatants were merely average slaves with no powers whatsoever. The main event was going to be one that truly shook the world, and changed it in the coming age. Too long had he sat idle and let his neighbours get away with their transgressions, their foray into his borders. Manipulation and deceipt, he'd start with Othea and carve his way through Azukhar until he took down the Dominion. Possibly his biggest threat, but they too would kneel before him. Then he'd cast his sights to the rest of this world, for beyond the great sea there had to be something, not just vastless ocean.

As the fight concluced Kheris rose, slowly and delicately. Not a single item of his jewelry moved, as if it dared not for fear of it's life. He was the master of his body, his environment and even his attire. He walked forwards towards the podium, arms at either side with his palms up towards the sky. As he got closer and closer to the balcony edge more and more fell silent. Until there were barely any murmurings within the crowd. This is what many of them had come here for today, to hear their lord speak to them. He was after all, their God. He focused on his voice, and the soundwaves that he would create from his speech. Pushing power into them from his relic he spoke, in a clear voice that could be heard throughout the Arena. It wasn't shouting, but his voice was clear as day for all in the arena to hear. "My people. It brings me great joy, to see you all here today." He lowered his arms slowly as he spoke, moving his right in a sweeping motion from one side of the arena to the other indicating he was truly speaking to everyone present.

"Today is a great day, for I, your Lord, wish for you to share a truly historic moment with me. For while I may be a God, you are my people and what would I be without each and every one of you." He smiled, and paused for a moment. There was some slight chatter in response to what he said. He didn't bother tuning into any of it, it was hardly relevant. Yes, there was some discontent towards him however it was so marginal it barely required his attention. The majority stood with him, and that was what is important. He raised his hands again, and the arena silenced once again. The faint beating of drums could be heard, as they hit their cue. Slowly at first, as he would go on to speak the drums would increase in volume and tempo. "For now, my people. I wish for you to relax, as we watch the demons that Mareth has provided for us fight one another, fight in order that they may regain their humanity and redeem themselves in the eyes of your Lord. For I am a forgiving, and merciful God-" He actually had no interest in any of the Gladiators ever becoming one of his chosen Demi-Gods. The relics didn't interest him for study, or for absorption and the people that weilded them proved too unpredictable.

Bar one. Kheris had kept him alive, but far from him for another reason entirerly and word on the wind was that there was another one out there. Vigilance would be required, that was for sure. He already had Krig scouring the shadows for the other. Clouds began to form over the arena, thunder rumbled in beat to the drums. Anyone outside the Arena would just see a single grey cloud forming over the Arena, and nowhere else. "-may the games begin!" A single bolt of lightning struck the centre of the arena before the cloud disapated. Doors all around the arena floor opened, releasing gladiators into the arena all at once as the drums cut out. Kheris merely nodded, turned and moved back towards his throne. Something pulled his attention.

He looked up to see a strange bird hovering above him. Kheris felt it looking directly at him, then it merely turned and began to fly towards the sea to the west.
@NanoFreakV2 If I'm honest I'd rather it if we dropped it somewhere else. There's still a lot of unresolved stuff going on at the battle side of things, even if the battle were over. In terms of "Okay so who are you guys really, why are we here?" Etc.
@Anomaly758 AS someone who likes the Rebels, I know it's a myth.
@Anomaly758 1) I think the point is Vader didn't wanna just orbitally bombard them. yes the shield could have held out but if they just bombared it no-one would have escaped. From my reasoning Vader wanted prisoners, which meant landing.

2) I didn't know that this was what this particular argument was. Both examples I wanted to find both show there are some superliminal sensors to see the world outside of hyperspace.

Name: Janais the Stonebreaker
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Faction/Allegiance: Formerly Kheris Currently anyone against Kheris.
Relic Description: Janais relic is a sickle that he has attached to his belt. Found in ruins of the Old Kingdom the sword gives him limited Geokinetic abilities. He cut through solid stone, shake the ground by stabbing it into the ground, and he can swipe at the ground to pick up and throw stone at people. From what Janais mentor told him his sword is one of seven, and that the powers he has already mastered is but a fraction of it’s capability.
Flaws:

  • Janais isn’t an actual trained combatant. He has learned everything he knows in the Arena as a Gladiator.
  • Janais is illiterate and uneducated, living his life as a Peasant he is a labourer above all else.
  • PTSD, Janais doesn’t quite know it yet but the years of being held prisoner, forced to fight, have had a psychological effect on him. While he was once warm and kind he is now coarse and rough.

Years of this life have made him hard and untrusting, however the few friends he has are the best friends he will ever have.
Relations:
Final Point - Secrets:

None.

@Anomaly758

1) It happens quite often that SW ships detecting ships suddenly appearing out of hyperspace at the last second. In terms of on screen we just have small screen in TCW and Rebels.

2) I'm not sure what this topic is for, but SW ships don't travel through a completely other dimension like Stargate. They can still be affected by gravitational anomalies. Star wars ships can travel through hyperspace in unknown space but it is dangerous.

Example 1
Can't find an exact clip of the moment I want for clip 2, but the Ghost is trying to go to an unmapped region, ends up facing this

3) Again a common occurence, Thrawn uses this tactic often in EU and the NewCanon to plot potential destinations.

4) Interdictors in SW were typically used more for area denial. They were either placed along known hyperspace routes to force the likes of Rebel ships out of hyperspace, or used in combat situations to prevent ships from escaping From this formation we gather that the interdictors don't create that large of a field, as after one Interdictor is destroyed Ezra manages to jump away before coming back to destroy the second.

Oh, sorry double post. @Sep What do you mean by that? Am I reading this wrong or do you mean that the way they measure time is different or what? I am confused.

Sorry I actually got it wrong . In apparently every case of a hyperdrive known to the Hiigarans, Taiidani, and others, the drive is ended in a 'crude' manner by simply turning off power to the module when an estimated time has elapsed, and then the wave ends on its own I felt that time in hyperspace in Homeworld was different to that of real space. According to this, this isn't the case. It's been a while since I've researched it though.
