So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

I did not make this image, nor do not claim to have. The image was made by a former Roleplay partner of mine: Mallacore. All credit goes to him, for continuity please imagine H.M.S instead of USAF on the side.
STARGATE TEMPEST

FIRST FLIGHT

The Americans have the George Hammond, Apollo, Daedalus and Odyssey. The Chinese the Sun Tzu, Russians the Chekov and the Indians have the Rising Star. The United Kingdom as a important member of the IOA, one of the first major nations to know about the Stargate Project decided it was time that they gained their own vessel. Using the latest in human engineering and Asgard technology they designed the EX-307.

Designed for exploratory purposes it boasts the most advanced Human-Asgard hybrid hyperdrive to date. Faster in hyperspace and realspace than its predecessors, it also boasts extensive shielding systems. While not heavily armed, the combination of Human-Asgard weaponry, engine and shields make it a formidable vessel, in simulations the 307 is capable of winning a battle against a Ha’tak class Mothership or a Wraith Cruiser, largely in thanks to two Asgard Beam Weapons.

Her mission? To explore new worlds, find and study new technologies and serve at the liberty of Her Majesty the Queen of the United Kingdom.

Welcome! This is a Roleplay I attempted to launch several years ago, when I had a lot less experience than I do these days. In this roleplay we will be playing the cast and crew of the H.M.S Tempest, a vessel constructed and operated by the people of the United Kingdom, with some assistance from her allies - It is their first space faring vessel afterall. I want to achieve the good old Stargate feel, and have a story planned out that will follow a somewhat episodic nature. A season will last a total of six months, this time limit is just to keep the roleplay moving along and things flowing. At the end of this six months the season will end, and we’ll have a short break before coming back for a second. Players can play any roll in either the military or as a civillian researcher, allies of humanity partaking in the voyage will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Every episode designed will have an element for both shipboard crew, and the away team. Any questions, feel free to comment and ask.

If you aren't terribly familiar with the franchise, don't let that sway you. Your characters may be relatively new to the Stargate Program, and as such won't know very much either. You can watch This to help!

Yeah, you're a specific category of screwed. There aren't nearly enough images of Iris in that suit, let alone doing anything speedster-y. There are barely enough of Iris out of costume.

I'll dig into my Flash collection and see if I can't come up with some workaround. Maybe alter some Jessie Quick images to make her look like Iris or something. I don't know. No promises, but I know you're particularly in need of this kinda thing.

It'd just be nice to have some running images, that's all. The problem is I'm having Iris' suit so drastically different than Barrys so i can't really swing "That mostly red blur, yeah that's Iris in a red and yellow suit."

I've been collecting scans and digital copies of comics for over a decade, so most of mine are taken directly from the source. I try to crop the text out, but if that doesn't work, I usually use Photoshop to get rid of the text manually. It can be time consuming, but worth it in the long run. I have over 200 Batman images that I've been preparing for this RP alone, with new ones being compiled over the last week for Batman's new costume for the season.

If you can't get your hands on scans or digital issues like me, however, I suggest Comicvine's galleries for your respective characters, Google image search for textless covers, or the Marvel and DC Wikias. Sometimes even searching for a specific artist helps.

2007 called. It wants its punch line back.

Oh god. Those good ol'times. Clicking on a youtube video, get maybe five seconds of youw ant and then you just hear it start...

Good times.

...Annnd that's the other reason I decided to post one third of a post. I don't need you assholes showing me up already.

There's still a whole season left for you to do that.

Never.
Next person to nominate Sep for MVP is on my list.

I feel like I've lost all possible votes for MVP in the nine days since this OOC has been active.

To be Superhero news related, going to watch the new episode of the Flash soon so I'll have a review up.

On a side note, I fell out of Arrow/Legends of Tomorrow after the Crisis on Earth-X Crossover, is it worth getting back into? Or is it just a slog?

I didn't realize Iris was so loose. Maybe Bruce could stand to shack up with a speedster...

Also, post is up. It's literally maybe one third of what I'm writing, but I figured better to post that than to make everyone's eyeballs bleed right out the gate.

You've missed the ship of being 'right out the gate'.

Second page mate.
Y'all gay talking about characters being in relationships.

Iris x Punisher when?
<Snipped quote by Sep>

I take it back, this clearly reeks of trying too hard.

I remember when some legit all but forced their character to fall in love with mine and have them be the absolutely most alluring human being ever. Did I protest, did I make a comment to the GM? Move on? Force Conflict?

Nah, I just decided the character was gay.

Look out Selina Kyle. Iris is coming for ya.
