They learned bio-engineering just to make this happen. Also they're all super nice when they're not head-deep in a project. Ivan's got a cool dad too, though in a not-quite-actually-cool way. I mean, who genuinely goes by the name "Eggman" for half their life and isn't secretly awesome? Plus Miles' kids are all cool, they helped out a lot with the preparation too. Cream is like, a total badass, so she's great by herself, but bonus points for being a cool mom to her kids. They're just all really cool.
