These are only for lien earned in missions. You may only spend lien earned in missions in the item shop.

Not to mention the lien shop will be largely utility and consumeables only. Basically they'll be designed as 'extra options' you can use in a mission.
By the way, does anyone remember the lien reward for the Protesters and Shelter missions?
I need to figure out more Equipment section ideas, or better ones. They feel lackluster at the moment.
Excellent. I'll get to work.
I am actively willing to actually work on the solution.

I just need support. If I have some support, I'll ask Lugio about it and work something out.

I mentioned this once before, but admittedly that was drowned out.

I was serious about working on it, but again, I need some support.

You guys may not have thought about the lien at all, but you're all pretty cool. That's kind of all I got on you, and sorry if I ever seem to offend you, really.

EDIT: Reason I need support is so that there will be people who will use it. If no one uses it, then we may as well just get rid of lien as a mission reward.
@Prince of Seraphs

But nobody buys weapon or armour upgrades during a mission, no one would be allowed to either, because that's just silly. Ability upgrade during a mission is reasonable under those circumstances.

But you seem to miss the point.

The point is not whether or not YOU like this system, it's not whether or not you want 'every gold piece account for'.

The point is that we have a pointless currency system, and I am proposing an actual PROPER use for it.

I'll put it in caps.

WE HAVE A POINTLESS CURRENCY SYSTEM, AND I AM PROPOSING A POINT FOR IT.

One more time.

WE HAVE A POINTLESS CURRENCY SYSTEM, AND I AM PROPOSING A POINT FOR IT.

I don't see why this is bad, I don't see why you're against it, and even if you're telling me why, you haven't been doing a very good job at all. You haven't presented anything to persuade me against this.

What's so bad about being able to buy a little extra equipment? What's so bad about being able to actually USE a currency that we are actively given in missions? The amounts we are given in missions are in actual NUMBERS too, we're not told "low money reward, high money reward", we're given ACTUAL NUMBERS that we can MATH THE FUCK OUT OF.

I mean come on man, what's the problem? So far all I see is that the problem is only your own opinion.

I was being sarcastic and insinuating that you are treating this far too much like a video game compared to the more realistic (at least for an anime) approach that we're going for. I feel like I'm looking at Doctor Light's shop in between Megaman missions. Minus the name that's an item from a video game I'm working on in RPG Maker XP.

"compared to the more realistic (at least for an anime) approach that we're going for."

You can keep this bit. I explained it in a previous post. Here it is again.

"And that's why you make it simple...

For instance you want some cover? Do you have a smoke grenade? You can use that. No smoke grenade? You're going to have to find another way."
And that's why you make it simple. Tabletop is incredibly complex, and has so many subtle nuances and stats to consider, and situations, and so on. This item shop is meant to give you a new avenue to approach new situations.

For instance you want some cover? Do you have a smoke grenade? You can use that. No smoke grenade? You're going to have to find another way.

That said, items will probably be limited when on missions, like you can only take 3 or something.

I am aware you were joking @Prince of Seraphs, but the reality is, you can in actuality have items like that added to the shop.
I think I'd allow items like that.

Can be fun... Or risky if it's your only means of healing. Which can be fun.

On the other hand, prices I need to study and decide.

Do I have enough support for this to ask Lugio?

EDIT: Also Lien was based on rupees from Legend of Zelda, lien meaning "link" in French. If it was equal to Japanese yen, we were receiving 10-20 USD or AUD equivalent from missions.
