Pretty much.

I don't expect to do this again unless I'm really high level and catching very low levels.
Well see, that's the thing about Pokemon. The Pokemon you near-fainted in games were captured without consent, and you get worse from some instances in the anime where they're beaten down first. It's also entirely possible for them to just be caught straight up, most often because it was unsuspecting.

But if you wanted more to happen, you should've made more happen. Writing out an event would've taken far longer, and honestly on my own feel silly.
Blair Aschenford | Route 1

@MissFortune

The walk through Route 1 wasn't so bad, Fantasia was surprisingly not so bad. He expected a bit more complaining, but that didn't seem to be the case. In not long she called him over, to which he checked. She saw something, likely just a Pokemon, or at least she thought it was a Bug Pokemon. She ended up hiding behind him in fear of it. Regardless of whatever thought may come up, he was still curious, so he walked up to check, Empress standing beside him as he did so.

"Oh my", he said to himself. This was an unexpectedly lucky occurrence. A Shiny Snivy, as such an early encounter... He wasn't sure what to do, just... Throw a Pokeball at it? Probably just do that.

The Snivy seemed to be absorbed doing it's own thing, so he had this one chance, in which he took. He pulled a Pokeball from his bag, Fantasia was still unable to see what he had seen, but he was too wrapped up in the moment to care. He lobbed the Pokeball at the unsuspecting Snivy, and after a few tense moments... It was caught, just like that. He stepped into the bushes to pick up the Pokeball, and as he walked out he noticed someone was coming their way.
I do hope that there'll be more GM participation when acting as Environment. Being able to just get a Pokemon like this, doesn't feel all that exciting, I guess it's fine for me since it's one I quite want, but at the moment the rest of my party is undecided so it'll be largely random encounters that I'll depend on to make a team. Maybe please Abysmal or Charak, please control wild Pokemon in the future...? I mean seriously, it's way more fun that way for the players.

You can even have what happened in an old RP I was in and give players the information they need to act as Environment for other players.
Shiny Garchomp is the most fabulous thing though.
I do still have a bunch of other options. Gallade was the one I considered for aesthetic purposes. Hell I might make it my 2nd shiny. The others that I'm also likely to choose is Garchomp and Scizor.
So what about leveling?

Seriously, how many bloody times do I have to say it? We haven't step foot from square one in this matter.
Honestly this could have all been avoided if you didn't propose such a change from the standard 6. I don't see why not keep it at just 6 for yourself like everyone else.

Also back to moves. HOW DO WE DETERMINE WHEN AND BY HOW MUCH THEY LEVEL.
Having more than 6 is heavily frowned upon too in-universe, so don't forget that too. If you insist though, carry as many as you want, but only a static, unchangeable 6 of them can be used for battle, and can only be changed once you reach a Pokemon Centre. Basically you'd be carrying your PC wherever you go.

well when your pokemon levels up it gets new moves

-__- just follow the game mechanic XD

But how do we determine when they level? Remember we can't grind out levels like we can in game, a level system will need to be remade to suit an RP setting.
