Sometimes they did for convenience of plot, sometimes not, also for convenience of plot.

I do know one thing, depending on how many badges you have, the gym leader's team will change. If you watched the Origins OVA, Brock clearly asked for amount of badges, and then chose one of the Pokeball sets he had.
I feel like we're missing some people.

I'm adding an armoury upgrade, how much would this cost?

Lightning Pins - Throwing knives with a unique design to attract electricity. Using these knives he can set up his Lightning Rod skill's directions, giving him more versatility of approach. They can be used as ranged weapons as well, although they are weak in that regard. Due to their small size, he can carry a large amount of them, and throw a large amount of them with relative ease.
That's kind of what I figured I'd do, and part of the reason for wanting Rayquaza.
Yeah, but there's a lot of story stuff required to even have it mega evolve that no character here could acquire, though it only needs to learn Dragon Ascent in order to do so according to the game, but remember that's the game.
Playing PSO2 is taking up my time.
Blair Aschenford | Harport > Ferry

@MissFortune

As Blair walked to the port, there seemed to be just a few people boarding the ferry there. He approached one of the staff and they said they were just boarding the last one. Well, this was some good news. He ordered two tickets and handed Fantasia the other, though it looks like they wouldn't really get the time to relax until they boarded, as this ferry was due to leave in a minute from the time they bought the tickets. Their backgrounds being rich, they had no problems paying for the fare.

The ferry to Grand City was expectedly not full of people. It was the last ferry after all, so it was just full of people going home, but it would be around a few hours before they arrived in Grand City. Everyone got their own cabins it looks like, though Blair took this time to call his Snivy from it's ball, so that he can feed them both dinner before getting himself something in the floor.

"This isn't an overnight trip though, we'll be there late evening", he said.
Well it was between Zyg and Ray, just curious but was Ray a no-go regardless?

But is kay, I'm fine with Zyg.
See, I know this stuff sounds okay, but the problem is we're using level at all. The way levels were designed, cues for evolution based on those levels and so on, in the games, they were designed as a progression balance. It's why something as strong as Dragonite's evolution lane doesn't finish evolultion until like, the 40s, and something like Caterpie can get to Butterfree so quickly.

You don't seem to understand that LEVELS were designed SPECIFICALLY for the game. The cards don't have it. The anime doesn't have it. What reason does the RP need it for? It's just not designed for a setting other than a video game.

Imagine going to mid game, some Pokemon evolve as early as 10-20, so if you're catching their first forms when you're midgame with 20-30s, they'll pretty much evolve immediately once you catch them. It's just strange, and jarring.

Then you want to rename it to Combat Level or something like that, and make a new grading if you're going to use level like that.

The problem is that level already has a use in-game, but you must also realize that there's a reason that only videogame titles of Pokemon have ever used levels, with some exceptions like the Pokemon card game videogames.

I also think the levels should be dropped entirely to give players a more open world feel. If levels were dropped entirely, we'd be free to go anywhere in the region without a level barrier. It'd also be more natural, I don't walk around and assign levels to birds and stray cats I see, I don't see why people in the Pokemon world would either unless they were really serious about training Pokemon or just kind of a dick about it. Remember that Pokemon are pretty much same status as animals in this world, with some big exceptions like being able to catch and pit them against one another.

@1Charak2 @AbysmalDemon

@AbysmalDemon Please don't disappear and hope to ignore this. I'm trying to discuss an easier alternative to keep track of levels. It wouldn't only be easier for you, but easier for all the players too.
Yeah I basically just repeated what we'd decided.
