Rui had ruffled through his pockets randomly on the way out of school and found the note with Shizu's addressed scrawled on it... Now that he thought about it, he didn't know her actual name, just her maid name, Shizu. Well it probably wasn't that big a deal. He wondered if he could wear one or two of those outfits into the dungeons... It'd be pretty fun, he knew Noboru and Leiko would be the most down for that.

The piece of paper had the shop name and address on it. The shop was unsurprisingly placed in the Shinza Shopping District, though at the same time it was on the side that was closer to the main new urban shopping centers. Soon he arrived to 'Otonashi Tailors'. It seemed like a fairly regular store, a bit on the high side, but tailors considered that was not unexpected... What should he do? Should he just ask if Shizu was in? Was that even her name? That was her maid name right...?

Well in any case, hopefully she was there so he didn't have to go through that awkwardness. He put the paper away and entered the store.

His semblance is the ability to summon slashing storms. Just the slashing storms and slash extensions. That's where the ranged capabilities come from. It does have a delay so it isn't difficult to dodge unless you're already doing something or he manages to hide it or read your next move. You'll be able to tell when silver lines start appearing.

The katana is an ordinary katana with reinforcements. In the hands of someone who cannot channel aura, it is entirely ordinary. It is simply receptive to aura, and will increase sharpness, with enough it can slice through aura-made barriers or certain semblance defenses too. Anyone who can channel aura would be able to make use of that function easily. So yeah, basically, very sharp, receptive to aura for more power.

His aura ability is the flow. First of all, its not Semblance. Sorry its placed there, but its just the way he uses his aura, and took the place of his semblance for his first year since he had no semblance for the first year.

Why it works is that rather than using his aura statically like simple shield, strong punches, etc. He runs it through his body like a secondary flow of blood or nerves, using it to enhance both movement and reaction timing. Of course because of how it works, using it as a shield to avoid major damage when he is struck costs him more than aura like anyone else, but also costs him some of that accumulated aura, making him a little slower. Although it comes with the ability to continually use incredible feats of speed at a more sustained rate, and going beyond that with the super-tele-dashes.

Well... Now that Jack was the only one in the pool, albeit on one of the pads so technically not, the Megaladeus appeared as a dark shadow from one of the pool after emerging from the depths, after recognizing the little ruckus he made by splashing the water. The distraction didn't seem to work too well before with two 'tastier' targets, but fortunately Abel was on the job and rescued them, now Jack can start doing his own job. Although, he had to reconsider... Luring it to the surface wasn't going to work, it moved too fast and unless they can get it to surface, they didn't have a chance, however he realized it had only one real weapon. Its jaws. He made a signal to everyone to prepare to attack, and then was on his way.

The Megaladeus pursued Jack across the water as he leaped from pad to pad, and after a few leaps he stopped when it was obvious it was going for a bite. It leaped forward out of the water, while Jack kicked backwards while on the pad, doing a front flip while carrying the pad with his feet, and managing to have it meet the shark's jaws, lodging the pad into its mouth. Although Jack in his surprise fumbled the front flip mid flip due to the shark's raw strength, the moment the pad and the shark made contact, it destroyed his balance, but landing into the water, he was going to be okay for the moment.

Now that the Megaladeus was going to be temporarily unarmed, it was their chance to strike.

The Megaladeus was still in the water, and keeping his distance and watching was a good idea. This thing didn't have a lot of openings fighting it from the surface even, and being in the water seemed to be even worse. No one so far seemed to do any meaningful damage to it too. Honestly it didn't look good, but now that the Megaladeus had shown itself, he managed to begin tracking its movements. He jumped up onto the pads and began splashing the water with the flat side of his dagger, and moving from pad to pad, trying to get its attention, while keeping mobile and alert, better enabling him to avoid any sneak attack it may somehow mount.

There was no chance of dealing any damage to it now, he felt the key was if everyone was in the water, some of the other students equipment ought to be useful underwater after all, and everyone else would act as pressure and assault the shark, or defend the members who could fight it underwater. For now though, just make sure he kept the Megaladeus occupied, to buy some time for everyone else.

"Yeah, I think they'd be stylish", maybe he could wear these during dungeon visits... He wonders if Kazuki would allow such a thing though, he didn't seem the type to allow it. She gave him her address though, right of course, they still need to take measurements. In any case he turned back to Shizuka, it was time he made his order.

The rest of the day went by quickly. Occasionally he gave Shizuka a bit of help, but otherwise once he had finished eating he hung around for ten or so minutes before leaving and bidding Shizuka good luck with the midterms.

TRACK: During the Test

It was the first day of the midterms. They were set to end on Friday on the 22nd, and results posted next week on Monday. As Rui sat down for his test and waited, he was confident he was able to tackle most if not all the material properly. His mind hadn't wavered, and unlike the city, there weren't enough distractions to keep him from studying when he needed to... Soon the test began.

TRACK: During the Test

Each day, students went to school, took their exams for a few hours, then left. It was a fairly standard procedure. As a result, school was always let out very early, but no one was up for clubs or hanging out, because the next day would be immediately followed by another test from a different subject. At the very least the students knew which was next.

Rui's pen couldn't stop moving as he blazed through the last day of tests. He was fairly confident in what his end result might be.

Rui could hear the groans and sighs of relief as they finally reached the weekend. Saturday like every week was a half-day, but considering exams just ended, they were let out even earlier than usual, so it was lunch time, or should be. It was time for the students to await their exam results. Saturday and Sunday was now to be spent in anxiety or relaxation, depending on the person. Rui was going to relax though... Maybe he should go to the arcade again. Ever since midterms he hadn't had a chance to go there... Or maybe go to a club? Nah... They shouldn't be active at all at the moment... In any case, what was he to do today... He watched out for anyone he knew on his way off campus.

I don't think the actual buffs are major though. It is fairly overloaded considering it can also half-half, but I think the strength is the extremity of the abilities.

Well, in any case I'm waiting whether Lug will match Varius with someone else or something.

Jack's choice of equipment was was pretty simple, a wetsuit. That was it. Just a few belts to hold his daggers and other extra equipment that he may decide to pick up before the swim. There seemed to be a common plan, and that was to somehow bring the shark Grimm up to the surface. He looked around and it seems a lot of students agreed, in or not in a group. The pads didn't seem to be a good place to be, but for Jack it shouldn't be much of a problem. As the students began to circle around the pool, he looked to at least identify the Megaladeus' location before he would step up onto the pads. He can easily jump from one to the other and avoid an attack, so long as it didn't surprise him from directly below, which is why he wanted to wait for the moment. He intended to be the bait, he had confidence in his mobility after all.

"So we're going to try and lure it to the surface? Or does someone here have a better plan?", he asked, twirling one of his daggers while he waited.
