Current Cleaning day! Made a ton of progress and even found my long lost DS and my missing laundry card that still has a lot of credits on it. Found it in my winter coat of all places go figure.

Finally got into D&D. Now I feel trapped and I am in love. Should I ask for help or ask where I can get more dice?

Breaks ups are weird. Not sure how to feel about the other person, or about yourself. It hurts for sure, but it's weird and uncomfortable just how different things seem now.

Character Name:
Tony Moore

Nickname/callsign:
Ground Bird

Age:
37

Nationality:
American

Gender:
Male

Bio:
Tony Moore was born in a small town in Nebraska with a population of less than six hundred total people. More of a cluster of people who lived within a specified distance of each other. Tony's father was an Air Cavalry pilot who served during the Vietnam war. When he returned he kept flying with his own single engine plane, which is where Tony soon learned to fly. He kept up flying for most of his life, even went into the United States Navy as a helicopter pilot similar to his father before him.

After several successful missions, and a couple not as successful, Tony Moore moved on from a field pilot into naval intelligence working with stealth fighters, drones, and in some cases acting as a field unit's plan B of escape in case a retrieval wasn't an option. Meaning that Tony has some ground experience working with Infantry. After a short period of time working with Naval intelligence Tony was forced into retirement for breaking procedure on a sensitive mission. Soon after that Tony was a commercial pilot for passenger planes, the pay was good and he still got to fly.

Tony was over the Pacific ocean when the first attacks came in, without enough fuel to make it around the main combat zones Tony was forced to land in the ocean about twenty miles from the eastern coast of Japan. His crew and passengers were forced to stay in the ocean for four days before help could arrive, Tony was thankful that the flight was fairly under booked. What little water the plane had on hand would not have lasted long with many more people. Himself and the other passengers were brought to a safe area not too far from the main combat zone until a way to move them could be established. They were refugees now. Tony spent most of the initial fighting surviving the refugee camps and preparing to go home.

Once he was able to go home Tony went through his belongings and sold everything he didn't need. Then he left for recruitment for the UN expeditionary force, saying "Give me a plane, a helicopter, anything that can go up, and I will fly it." So he joined up with the UN Expeditionary force, and prepared for the initial engagements.

Personality:
Tony has what he considers to have a strong moral compass. He believes in protecting the innocent, and defending from evil. He has gone out of his way in attempt to help others, even at the risk of his career and his life. This doesn't mean he will do something like this every chance he gets but if he feels that is the only reasonable choice left he will. AS long as his orders do not disagree with his moral compass he is more then willing to get any and every job done. Though if his job happens to be flying he is always game for that.

Appearance:
Tony is a five foot eight inch Caucasian man with extremely light brown hair, arguably dirty blond hair. When he is not in flight gear he can be seen wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts. In some cases even a casual button up shirt with those same cargo shorts. He doesn't have a very strong build to him, though this doesn't mean he is not fit. He is in great physical condition with great endurance to match.
Personal Gear:
  • S&W M15 short barrel with a small box of ammunition. (It was something common for pilots at one point in history, and there are a decent amount of reasons to have one that I can list if asked)
  • Pocket knife
  • An MP3 player with a small kit of adapters and SD cards
  • He keeps a photo of his former marine unit in his wallet
  • A box of waterproof matches
  • A small book of what ever he is reading at the time.
  • A sawed off shotgun (Not kept on person, fitting that in the cockpit would be a harsh thing to try)

Aircraft:
Second-Genoration Harrier Jump Jet

Aircraft Colours:
The underbelly of the jet has what looks like a painted on dirt explosion spreading to the upper side of the jet heading to the rear of the plane as if it was moving at full speed. The rest of the jet consists of regular paint works with the exception of the text "Ground Bird" Written on both sides under the cockpit.

Character Theme:
Bad Magic - Shooter Jennings

Note: If there is anything I can fix, just let me know and I can get on it. This is a new style of role-play for me so I am game fro trying it out.

@Massasauga

Thanks for the advice, I am going to a concert after work tomorrow but I should be able to get a sheet up on Saturday morning if things work out well.
OKAY! So I am working on a character sheet right now, I have a pilot character I have used in other role-Plays but not as a main, but I think he would work with this pretty well. I am just trying to get an idea of which fighter I would prefer to use. I am debating between a few of them, but one of the big things I wanted to know would be when the combat does start will it be mostly Air to Air, or Air to ground? Just trying to get an idea because of some jets known as Jump jets, where they are not as fast as most jets but have the ability to do some hovering or take offs that are required to be more vertical then most jets.

I just want to know what kind of things I should be considering before I decide on a jet.
@SgtEasy@Remipa Awesome

should we get working on our next post?

I am game for that, how shall we go about it then?

EDIT: Also I love your gif.
@Lord Orgasmo

I have a human character, but I am not against more characters.

Also! Just posted the first post! Kathryn is now at the back of the line of peoplez!
Kathryn

The shallow river was dark despite the bright sunlight that gleaned over it. Filled with blood of many different species and their respective corpses it could be argued that this river was made purely of these corpses and their blood, other then the fact that not too far up river it was as clean and clear as if it was never touched by the outside world. The only one still standing was a woman who's armor was dented in multiple places, helmet missing, and spots of blood across her and her armor. She took in her surroundings to see if anyone else was still standing. She was alone on the river's edge. "Anyone still standing?" She said in hopes someone from her party was still alive. Herself and a small party went to confront a patrol for the Darklord, only to find out that the numbers advantage they thought they had was not true.

Just barely inside the shallow river the last Orc tried to get up, too weak and injured to do much he fell back in the riverbed, face barely above the water. Kathryn grabbed her blade which after combat needed a nice sharpening, but it would still do the job. Then she stopped just at the base of the river, her feet only inches from the dark waters. She knew she could stand in it, but she still wasn't able to go in. What if there was a hole in the water she couldn't see? What if the Orc pulled her down? What if she got stuck and sunk? She looked around for another option, she wasn't going to let this Orc survive this after it had helped kill her allies.

On one of the bodies at the edge of the river was a cheap wooden bow, the body also having a quiver with a few arrows remaining. She walked over to the body, human. The bow was still in decent condition, its user not so much, she didn't recognize him. Though he wasn't apart of the Darklord's army from what she could tell. She sighed and took the bow, only to walk to the river's edge and take aim at the Orc, who was closer to standing this time, only to stop when he noticed the Human warrior taking aim. "Grab a damn blade, we'll settle this like a real sold-" He didn't get time to finish before the arrow went through his skull, killing him before his head landed face down in the riverbed like so many others here. "Soldiers just sort of kill each other. No rules, just do what you can to win." Speaking as if he was still alive. Out of the ten or so people who came to fight off the patrol, she was all that remained. By now though, the nearby town should have been evacuated. Everyone here knew that there was little chance of any of them making it out alive, more troops would show up soon. All she could do no was move on and help who ever was next.

She grabbed her scattered gear and replacements for the broken parts and moved on, carrying with her her armor, weapons, and a small backpack holding enough supplies for a single person for a day or so. She would need to stop for more water later when she found another clean source. It didn't take her long to find the remains of another town that had been ransacked and burned down. No way this was from the same patrol, they didn't have the supplies of a ransacked town, and they came from a different direction. No, this was something else. Something that could have been much worse. She was tired, sore, still bruised up, but if this raiding party was still moving then so was she. She proceeded to follow the trails left behind.
...So I am reading up preparing my first post... and the OCC section is just... Amazing. I am really excited to be apart of this forum! Also we could just start spit balling some races? Not have to list them all but some so we have an idea? That way we have some confirmed at least?
@Aquanthe

True, true. Alright, if work doesn't get in the way tomorrow I can get a post up by then!
