Current The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation.

They say it's about the journey, not the destination. This is true of many things. Pizza delivery is not one of them.

TFW you know what you want to happen but the words aren't cooperating. Why is plot suddenly so much harder to write?

Glad to see I'm not the only follower of Lord Cato, god of wisdom, on this most auspicious Superb Owl Sunday.

Bio

I am an adult, though I don't usually act like it. I'm a voracious reader, and not overly picky about books. I am artistic in a variety of areas, including music, drawing, writing, and sculpting. I have a minor obsession with dragons, and love the color violet. Fantasy is my preferred genre, be it past, future, urban...as long as it has a fantasy flavor to it. I also like scifi, mystery, and some horror. I am crazy, and I like tormenting my characters. But I don't bite...much. ^.~

@BlackPanther Drama! It's a hook sitting there just waiting to catch a fish.

Max: at least I'm not the fish this time...
@Prince of Seraphs oh definitely, but it does depend on how rapidly they let the aging happen. <3
@Belle Oh gosh, if it happened all sudden, that'd be a mess. Then again, if done all sudden, she'd be several hundred...and dead.

You do it to help them build character.

Max: We've been over this before, none of us appreciate it.

Maybe add a note that she's four, but actually xx4? ^.^;;
@Belle if Lyra is older than her apparent age, shoudln't it be listed on the char sheet, to avoid confusion? I was under the impression she was literally four, and had regarded her and her mother accordingly. Also it adds another dynamic to the relationship that's really not at all clear without the information. Interesting that he would keep so young a child so long. It's an interesting thought experiment to consider, how a person might grow while trapped in the body of a child and so unable to mature in that sense.
@LadyRunic

Sini: I know a culinary bard, Falk. He'd love to make dinner for you and everyone else. ~And probably hit on you~
@LadyRunic it's very hard to do that, especially if the post of the person you're waiting on for B comes /after/ the post you make for A. Also going back and editing posts makes it hard to tell if things already posted have been read or not. I'll usually only edit if no other posts have been made after.
@LadyRunic I thought Aisling was less than a century old, according to her sheet? Excited to see things setting off!

@Prince of Seraphs *kicks repeatedly* I really can't plot if you're not going to reply. =/
GRAAAAH gotta work faster. @LadyRunic is the posting cycle by person or by character? For example, if you post character A while waiting on someone else for character B, can you post B after then even if it's not been three people yet?

@BlackPanther I've not seen much season lore in general. *shrug*

Amuné lost track of the fight, trying to rouse the fallen Muran. The moorcat was paying better attention, and once the hounds were all down he returned to his girl's side, shoving his face in hers in an attempt to reassure her. That prompted her to look over, at least briefly, and scratch his ear, but she was still worried. At Nymira's words, she shook her head. "No, that's not...." It was possible, she supposed, but she didn't think that was what happened, even though she couldn't see any obvious hurt. The girl answered Geoffrey's question with a lackluster shrug, and only half paid attention to Nymira's explanation of what the hounds were.

When the Dimuran came over and put a hand on her head, the child grimaced and pulled away. That was something her daddy did, and she didn't feel comfortable with the arrogant woman mimicking the gesture. "I thought I heard him yell," she added, sounding uncertain, trailing along as Nymira lugged the unconscious man to the cart. She climbed up after and set him straight. Staying all bent wasn't good for you.

When Cecil approached to get in as well, the moorcat got in his way, snarling dangerously. "No! Bad, Wyth!" His girl leaned over and swatted his nose. Wyth let his protests subside to a soft growl, but he stayed put, and she frowned down at him. "Hush," Amuné scolded. "Come here. Up!" With a last glare at the Machina, the huge cat leaped into the cart, following his girl's orders to settle down next to her. She glanced over at Cecil and then away, deliberately not paying too much attention to any bits that might be on his fists. "Um...just...if you take the opposite corner, I'll keep him quiet...." Amuné's words were soft, and she didn't quite look at him as she spoke. If he did, she took Wyth's muzzle in her hands until he quieted, then focused her attention back on Ethan.

Why'd he yelled like that? It had been him, right after her vision ended, hadn't it been? It hadn't been actually a part of what she'd Seen. Something had happened to him, but what? Amuné tried to remember the things she'd glimpsed, hoping one of the images would provide an answer, but none of it provided an answer. So much was happening lately, and she felt very small and very lost. She scooted over a little and stuck Ethan's head in her lap. She just wanted to find her parents and have things go back to the way things were. Was that to much to ask? But for now, she'd settle for everyone in the group being okay, and she sent up a prayer to that effect. Deep inside, where she couldn't consciously control it yet, her new ability activated again.
@BlackPanther That doesn't sound like any mythology I'm familiar with. Do other courts (I'd think Fall and Spring) have salamanders?
