@Shorticus At least one post a week would be nice if you have too much going on. And it won't be to much to claim a bit of Australia.
@Monkeypants Nah, it's alright. Before the IC starts, all claims are flexible.

Also @Jig, added you in the map. Is it good?
@MonkeypantsSure thing. I'll add the claim.
@Jig Welcome aboard! Hope your experience is pleasant :)

As for questions, no problem, I'll answer to the best of my ability.

@Monkeypants
Probably for the best :p

Speaking of nations, I wonder where I shall plop myself.(One possible idea is a civil war ridden state, split between warlords. Think a nasty mix of Syria and Somalia.)
@Monkeypants
Don't worry, they are very few and are so difficult to replicate you might as well not.

Edit:

As to note. Your chosen Pre-Cataclsym tech, whatever it may be and it's role in your society, will be rare and something to be treasured or reserved. As they, as stated, can't be replicated or are very costly or dangerous to even try.
@Inkdrop Technology is kind of all over the place kind of thing. However Railgun, laser and plasma weapons I'd say count as a "Pre-Cataclsym" Tech.

As for your people, sure thing.
@Inkdrop I'll give you the rest of greenland, no problem.

As for your sheet, gave it a look, it's good so far, may need some work if you can, also to give two facts about the setting.

1. The Apocalypse occurred in the far future, I'd say 23rd Century, followed by a some centuries of chaos, the "Age of Darkness".
2. Races in this setting mean more then ethnicity, with the advanced technologies of the time and the Apocalypse giving rise to new "sub-races", be they modified humans that quickly evolved and into new races, maybe something elf or dwarf-like for example, or servitor species specifically created to serve now are giving room to grow and develop their own culture, etc.
Sorry to double post. Just need to address stuff.

@Brink_
@Inkdrop
Added you both to the map. That about right?

@Willy Vereb Looks like you got neighbors :)

@Monkeypants WMDs are pretty much gone.
I don't think sticking to the 1950s would work anyways.
This is a post-apocalyptic game or at least in a sense that civilization was destroyed once. Developments don't follow the same route here, at best be close.
Secondly it has steampunk/dieselpunk elements in it. These genres have the typical style of allowing impossibly difficult technologies at the time to become simple and commonplace. In this sense 1950s + dieselpunk means you might as well call it the 70s if not even more advanced in certain things.

So yeah, I feel we shouldn't feel too pressured with the 1950s claim. Just make whatever sounds good yet for the layman might make sense to be developed earlier. The realities of technology and engineering are far less optimistic.

Saying that, you are quite correct. Development will be very different, more advanced even, perhaps a more proper term, such as "Retro Sci-fi" should be used.

Edit: As for WMD's, pretty much gone.
@InkdropWe're actually onto the 50's technology-wise. So tech developed from 1950 through 1959 are acceptable, plus dieselpunk twists to them.
