Heidi was finding it strange that there was another mission so quickly after the other one. Just when she was about to comment on this, her sensitive hearing picked up a faint explosion coming from the grounds. She quickly glanced at Charles, who must have noticed it too, and thought the words 'I'm going to go and check that out. It could be Rose Mary.'

At least getting there will give her a chance to test out her suit prototype. As she left the room, she switched it on and started running. After the exoskeleton kicked in, she actually had to slow down in case there was somebody in the halls. She was running at least 13 miles an hour! It was working! Her speed was increased. It stood to reason that her strength and durability would be enhanced with this too.

As soon as she was out of the mansion, Heidi sprinted to where she had heard the explosion, and quickly surveyed the ground. there were scorch marks. And blood. From the pattern, a small animal had died. The picture of what happened was becoming clear to Heidi. Oh, poor Rose...

She found faint tracks, and followed them, running at full pelt. Heidi was already quite fit and athletic and the exoskeleton was increasing her efficiency even more. She eventually reached the scene of Rose, standing in the middle of the road, with a wrecked Tractor Trailer strewn around her.

"Rose!" Heidi shouted to her, before placing her gauntlet-clad hand on the girl's shoulder. "We have to go back to the mansion! There's a mission....Are you okay?"
@Burning Kitty

Sorry. I read the post wrong, and I think I'm not the only one. I'll make that post now.
Pyro, just skip Heidi for a turn. I can't think of anything to say.
@Catharyn

That description fits Dalry to a tee
I don't have any questions before the briefing. Help
If anybody wonder's why I'm not posting, I'm just waiting for a good chance for Dalry the cargo unloader to do something important

Oscar turned when he heard his name being called. It was Sexton, in much better condition this week, probably due to having matches and promos to do now. There was nothing wrong with drinking on your time off. Oscar was a bit of a beer fan himself. He didn't even judge anyone for drug usage even though he'd never done that himself, but from when the came into the venue, to when they left, they ought to be clean, and professional at all times.

Despite this, Oscar had a lot of respect for the fellow veteran. He was no slouch in the ring, and he might even surpass Oscar in the ability to cut a promo, work the crowd and make stars out of his opponents. 'Might' was the key word there. Oscar didn't like to stroke his own ego but knowing what you're great at is just as important as knowing what you're bad at in his opinion.

"That's not my finisher," he answered back, "though...I might start using it more. The knee drop fake-out's lost its heel heat. I would enjoy a match with you, though, when your program ends. Think of the promos! See you around, Sexton!"

Oscar continued walking to nowhere in particular. It's as if he was patrolling the backstage area like a sheriff, making sure the superstars were all in line.
I made a comparatively short post, just to bring the level down from the previous 4 massive posts.
"Ry! Ry! Wayfarer's Bridge is starting!" shouted one of the children excitably. Dalry calmed down, put down the carrot that she'd been chopping, and headed into the communal living room. In there were four children perched on the sofa, fervently watching the holographic monitor, as the local television channel for the planet that this moon and several others were orbiting was playing one of the most popular children's shows; Wayfarer's Bridge. It was a whimsical, semi-historical show about several children playing around in a fictionalised 23rd century village on Earth. It showed children before the days of neuro-stickers and total-immersion games, back when children went outside to meet up with each other and then get glued to their primitive entertainment ad communication devices called 'iphones'. It often made Dalry wonder if children still went outside on planets with atmospheres, or was that something that is truly dead now.

Just then, Dalry's buzzer beeped, and she took it out of her pocket and pressed the recall button. In her earpieces, she heard a message from her psychiatric evaluation officer reminding her of her appointment tomorrow, and sighed. She felt like she had been getting much better, less twitchy and more confident in herself since the last meeting a fortnight ago. The self-hypnotherapy was helping, but whaty helped more was being allowed to work like anyone else. She didn't even need the money. She had a generous UWLA pension, but sitting around feeling sorry for herself would be the worst thing she could do.

As she looked round at the four young faces, all glued to the monitor, she felt quite sad that this was the last day of her nanny contract for this group of families. With a yawn, Dalry got up and headed back to the kitchen. "Sorry, children, but I need to finish making the stew, otherwise it won't be ready by mealtime!"

Dalry left her psychiatric evaluation officer's office. That meeting was fairly painless. she'd just told him that she felt was improving, did some tests, a little bit of DT (deliberate triggering), discussed her hobby of food-growing in the bio-house. She did love to grow fruit and vegetables. She devoted a lot of time to her allotment. She would love to be a farmer, but they wouldn't let her near that kind of machinery or equipment with her condition. In fact, she was blacklisted from many jobs at this colony, which is why it was a surprise when her buzzer went off telling her of an urgent job. As many spare hands as they could gather; There was a large, very important ship docking tomorrow and they needed hands to unload the cargo. Dalry hopped in the first free transport and headed to the terminal dome.

Heidi finally finished the actual exoskeleton with ten minutes to spare, which she would use to make a primitive (by her standards) power supply, but it was at that moment when she was called by announcement. Just in case it was a mission, Heidi spent three minutes putting the frame on, connecting it to her Gauntlet's power supply, putting on her jumpsuit, then finally her gauntlet. Even if it wasn't a mission, she was ready for P.E. now. She'd ask Raven if it was ok to test out the skeleton before they started, but still.

fast walking, Hedi made it to Xavier's in good time; one minute after everybody else, and slipped inside.
