If Lynn was expecting Natalie to be angry, she was mistaken. Natalie could have hugged Lynn. What she was doing was incredibly stupid but she was keeping Sal's attention and had also given her an out. Natalie didn't even say anything. When Lynn said she was just leaving, Natalie backed out and swiftly left the restaurant. However, outside was worse.

She backed away into the outside wall of the restaurant and watched with horror as the skull man continued to consume the blood of those around him without touching them. Natalie's legs wouldn't even move. She was frozen to the spot, terrified. So much blood. So much death. She didn't want to leave, knowing people were getting killed. She couldn't confront him knowing she'd die before she got close. She couldn't move. She felt...so useless. She started to sob, and slid down the wall slowly as she began to slip into a breakdown.

Skills: Taleste is an accomplished thief who can flawlessly pickpocket, pick mechanic locks, crack safes, and is very good at being light on her feet and unnoticed. She's also a very good actor, if the need ever arises for her to go undercover. Related to this, she has a talent for makeup, able to make herself look like she's spent her whole life in the slums, or in the aristocracy, or young and pretty, or old and ugly, merely by clever presentation of face, hair and fashion.

Combat Class/Role: Pirate. Most effective at melee range. Specializes in both close quarters combat and sneaking around to flank the opponent. Isn't actually the most useful person to have in a firefight unless getting behind the enemy and getting close is an option.

History: Taleste joined the crew of the Revenant after being arrested for a heist gone wrong. Several missions later, she was captured by Skaldrum Pirates whilst attempting to infiltrate their ranks. Instead of death, she persuaded the Captain to let her stay as a concubine. She learned their ways and became one of them, before getting arrested by the alliance once again some time later. She helped Grayson and others escape the prison transport ship they were on together, and rejoined her old crew.

Other: She speaks in a heavy, strange dialect, possibly from one of the many multiracial slums around the galaxy, where humans and aliens live side by side and pick up each other's vernacular habits.

"I only told them the truth," Natalie answered. "Didn't go into any real detail either." She hoped it would be left at that as Archie started talking. Natalie didn't meet the eyes of the other two. Everyone but her seemed to think it a good idea to be secretive. Why? What would that achieve? They had everything to gain by being honest and everything to lose by lying when they were completely innocent. Was there something that Natalie was missing? That she was too naive to understand? It was possible, but Natalie's mindset of a regular civilian with faith in the system was a valuable point of view, right?

The food came and Natalie was nervous to try it. She'd been very unadventurous in the week since she came here when it came to food. Lots of sandwiches for lunch. Dinner was usually fast food or canteen grub. This was her first time in a proper restaurant since she was fifteen. She took a dumpling, dipped it in the sauce and took a bite. She coughed once or twice and her eyes were wide in amazement, and glistening wet.

"This the best food I've eaten in a long time!" She choked out in a wavering voice as she ate the rest in one go. It was while she was chewing that she saw Archie tense, and could feel the change the atmosphere. She looked round, following his gaze in time to see the woman get attacked and, as far as she could tell, killed, by a large man with a skull for a head. Natalie violently shot out of her chair, sending it clattering to the floor, and backed away. She looked terrified. Here were people who were clearly dangerous, and a threat to her No. Nononono. She didn't want to hurt again. But it was clear from the feral look in her eyes and her poised stance, that while she was scared, any attempt to get closer to her would be like trying to grab a snarling wolf. She watched this new arrival with unblinking eyes, paying attention to everything she did and everything she said.

Gene never really knew his father. He left Canada shortly after Gene was born and his mom never really talks about him. Gene doesn't really care. He doesn't have much interest in ever meeting his father. Or at least not enough to track him down. if Kraven ever wanted to meet his son, he could have for 18 years. So his mom raised him single-handedly. He was a troublesome kid. And as taking a tumble never hurt him he would just get more and more reckless due to the lack of punishment. He got into parkour as a teenager as his powers made it child's play, and made messing up completely risk-free.

Now at 19 years old he wants to enroll in Mobius academy, to become a real superhero. He wouldn't have felt he needed to but his mom has insisted there's more to being a hero than seeking out and beating up bad guys. She's scared of him turning into his father or becoming a vigilante or bounty hunter. She wants him put on the right path. So Mobius it is.

Gene's parentage grants him, on paper, all the powers of both his parents and then some, boasting super strength, superhuman agility, heightened reflexes, heightened senses including smell, superhuman durability and a minor healing factor (which, combined, make him much, much harder to kill than most other people). He can, of course, also communicate with Squirrels, but his powers extend beyond just squirrels, and he can in fact communicate with all rodents. The one thing he hasn't been able to demonstrate so far is the ability to beat Thanos offscreen.

As such, she comes across as slightly lanky and cumbersome. She has ginger hair, blue eyes and very slight, barely noticeable freckles which a little makeup can fix.

Her fashion sense is slightly grungy but there's no rebellion in the way she dresses. She dresses the way she does due to influence from the movies she watched ever since a young age. Leather jackets and boots were cool. So, she likes to wear very loose men's black leather jackets with the sleeves rolled up, boots of various types from various eras, and will often complete this look with jeans but much prefer to wear a skirt and stockings. She only has one pair of stockings and they are purple and white striped.

Lydia remembers her first six years of life as possibly happier and more magical than they probably really were. For that was the time when her parents were briefly on the straight and narrow and being loving and caring parents to her. However, when she was six, they were arrested, and she found out from the news that they were famous villains and had been committing more crimes. Many details escaped her young mind. But she was angry, and felt betrayed. This was probably what led to her deep rooted hatred of villains and thus glorification of heroes.

As she grew up, she bounced from foster house to foster house, discovered her superpowers, and her love of listening to music of any genre. She also grew more mature and stopped seeing the world in black and white. Starting from when she was about thirteen, she started to visit her parents in jail. She still had resentment but at the end of the day they were her parents. She still loved them and she knew they loved her. They had mixed feelings about her desire to be a superhero. Her father was supportive but admitted, often jokingly, that he wouldn't want to face her. Her mother was vehemently against the idea. But her mind was made up. Her years of dreams and childish glorification had given her the drive to be a hero, and she knew that she had the power and the potential to make it. So, she applied for Mobius Academy.

Lydia's power, slightly different from her father's, gives her the ability to absorb a copy of the superpower of anyone she makes skin to skin contact with. She can then use sad power herself for roughly ten minutes before it wears off and her body forgets it. However, the copied powers will always be significantly weaker, less potent and less effective than the real thing. Hence the name 'Bootleg'. To compensate for this. She can copy multiple powers at once and use them in conjunction with each other. If there is a limit to how many powers she can hold at once, she doesn't know it and has never found it. Her current record is four.

Gerry and Mayday never pushed Holly to become a superhero, but neither did they ever discourage her. However, it was in her blood. Since she was a baby, she exhibited all of her powers, albeit with far less control of them. She learned very early on that showing off made her unpopular, so was more subdued, humble teen. She wasn't quite quiet, but she was understated and liked to keep her powers, abilities and intelligence to herself as much as possible.

Of course, knowing about the difference her family had made to the world, she always wanted to be a superhero, but admitted she had no idea where to start. She'd spend some of her free time tinkering with web shooters but was too scared to actually use them to fight crime in the real world. When she graduated high school (with incredible grades) she managed to persuade her parents to send her to Mobius, where she could learn to use her talents to help the world.

It had been over a week, and Roy's words still hurt. She knew he was right. She should have let this go by now and moved on. But she still hadn't. Her ego was just too big too accept losing and an opportunity to prove herself and show everyone how wrong they were about her being weak and 'vulnerable' hadn't been presented yet. She wanted, nay, deserved to have the silent, fearful respect of everyone around her when they know that she's the number one hero of the class. There is no other way she will be able to shake off the choking legacy of her mother. She wasn't 'Seductress's daughter'. She wasn't 'that first year who almost died'. She was Kasuke Mina, future top 3 ranking Hero.

She smiled when prefects came in and announced that the Komei Olympics were so close, and that they will be undergoing training today. Mina had been training hard this past week, with an intensity that was almost scary. Her desire for fighting prowess, strength and power was bordering unhealthy and her friends had probably noticed.

Five minutes later, she was changed into the gym uniform (It would take a lot longer than five minutes to get changed into her hero dress) and waiting at the entrance to training ground Alpha. She was the first there besides Dulga, who she nodded to, There was a silent, unspoken level of respect between the two, Mina felt. Ever since their spar had both shown the other's strength and exposed their own weaknesses.

Hitomi's week had been a lot more normal, and pleasant. Several days after making it official, Hitomi and Acion had been on their first proper date. They didn't kiss. There was a moment they almost did but both were too shy to follow through with it. It had been a pleasant and lovely day! Other than that, it had been an uneventful week. Lots of hanging out with Tomoe, classes were going well, etc.

Today, though, Hitomi felt the calm come to an end the moment the teacher walked in. He was smiling. He never smiled. This was bad news. Hitomi's sheep sense was ever so slightly tingling. He told the class of the Komei Olympics. Hitomi had been involved last year, but she had merely helped design and create the costume of one of last year's first year hero students. This time she would be a competitor, and having insider knowledge of what the Olypics entailed was making her nervous. Was she ready? Was she good enough to hang with this class full of powerful quirks?

Then another surprise. The Prefects arrived, and told them to suit up and head to training ground Alpha. It was time for another big training exercise, Hitomi supposed. Oh well. Here goes nothing!
