Pen is in a pretty good position if you think about it. He isn't the biggest player on the Edolas field, but he's in the most likely position to win the power game. The King and Queen are the most powerful figures as they control an entire army and most of the world, but their forces aren't the most loyal (considering Pen and Edo-Lazarus are included in that number). Maddox, on his own or with his guild, is also a power player who is jumping on the coming opportunity but he doesn't have any element of surprise. Pen, on the other hand, can wait out the coming struggle and potentially topple the victor. Then we also have to factor in Edo Phoenix Wing and now the Earthland intruders to the field as they kinda sit in the middle. Interesting stuff to think about. Pen and Edo-Lazarus can make or break their chances at success right now as they appeal to Edo Phoenix Wing.

I've never disputed the fact that Pen is evil. He is. Very much so. He wants power. And wants to control Edolas. And he will. because no one suspects he will. Except maybe Edo-Jamie.

Cept they want to screw the other world to achieve it probably.

Edolas is kinda screwed if you think about it. They've got three camps of baddies. Royalty: Corrupt and effectively running the major population into the ground. White Hydra: Straight up malicious and violent. Pen/Lazarus Alliance: Also corrupt, like a mini version of the royalty but not yet exposed.

Quite true. And Edo Phoenix Wing is highly outnumbered without many guild members. So unless people get converted, this won't be easy xD
