"Thank you, though it was mostly Archie who caught him. Congratulations on the Bulbasaur." Tora answered with a smile, Rachni hissing at Cillian threatingly when he drew closer. Stingers twitching as if ready for another fight, despite how much its body hurt. Venipede were quite notorious in fighting until they drop. But before the bug could do anything, the tall woman started returning her Pokemon except for Archie. Standing up, she gave a nod in agreement.

"You're right. It's pretty late now." Tora said, blue orbs watching the younger boy start off toward to the Pokemon Center, though she did pause as she looked out to the forest. It was quiet. But she could ever so hear the slight hint of what sounded like childish laughter. Perhaps it was her imagination, or perhaps it was a Pokemon. They say that several travelers disappear in the night of this forest. Never to return and to be lost for eternity. What does happen to a trainer if they were to fall prey and disappear in this forest? Would it be so bad... to disappear into a beautiful place like this?

Archie barked then, snapping Tora out of her thoughts. Smiling at the Growlithe, she patted the puppy Pokemon's fluffy head before following after Cillian. She really should be leaving soon, it made her nervous to be staying in one place too long. What was she going to do if she was found? It wouldn't take long for Father's henchmen too show up. It's fine. Just stay calm. Everything will be alright, not too much time has passed.

"I'm going to buy a couple items, and then I'll be there. Go ahead and get some sleep, Mr. Weiss." Tora said with a smile before heading to the Poke Mart. Wanting to be prepared to leave as soon as possible.

After a few whimpers begging Tora for more candies from Archie, Tora bought two Pokeballs and three Rare Candies. The Fire Type immediately gobbled them up. "Archie, I don't quite understand why you want to get so strong quickly. You also shouldn't be eating so many Rare Candy's." the tall woman noted, though her Growlithe just gave a huff and a stubborn snort in return. The wealthy runaway gave a soft sigh, wishing she was able to communicate with Pokemon. That would be quite amazing to understand what they were saying. But she was sure Archie had her reasons. Perhaps a bit rash, but reasons. Walking outside while reading Venipede's Pokedex entry, she spotted Juana by the Mission board and walked over.

"Lady Juana? What are you doing awake? You should be in bed." Tora questioned in a curious, but perhaps a little scolding manner.

Happy new year :D
<Snipped quote>

Luke's best line so far.

@Silver Fox

It was cute XD
Blinking his lilac colored eyes ever so slightly as the child pouted about how most children his age did, Alver gave a soft little hum for just a moment before his lower lip started to jet out ever so slightly and tremble. Eyes shining and shimmering as if they were watering. Dazzling like little starlight trapped within the orbs used for sight. "Oh gracious me, I'm terribly sorry my dear. It's just... It's so nostalgic from when your papa and me were little ones ourselves. And I'm all alone in this house with no little boys to take care of anymore. I suppose old habits are just difficult to stop." he said somberly dramatic. Smiling slightly as Luke eventually accepted the motherly feeding, gently petting the young boy's hair and allowing him to have his fill.

Come to think of it, it had been a long time since he had human contact. Besides recently and his boss. Otherwise, it had been a long time. He supposed the last time was with Lucas.... And he'd rather not think about him. It reminded him why he was always alone. Because in the end, it was just better that Alver remained what he was. Ghosts. And Ghosts disappear. And for a long time, he did. Disappeared from the lives of his friends, his family, his relationships. He was just a little memory that was meant to be forgotten. Harpy had dug him back up from the grave however and now it seemed the ghost could be seen again. But in the end, it was better that he was forgotten and disappeared. He couldn't allow himself to forget that. Even if a part of him wanted to be back out in the sight of others. All he ever did was cause problems.

Lost in his thoughts for a long moment, he almost didn't notice Luke finish his meal. Snapping out of his more depressing thoughts, he gave a kind smile, petting the top of the child's head before setting him down so the albino could stand up and clean up the table. "Alright, I'll clean up. How about you wash your hands and then we can go pick out a painting? Bathroom is just through that door." he asked, pointing towards the downstairs bathroom that wasn't too far. Cleaning up the dishes and setting them in the dishwasher.

When both of them were done, Alver would take Luke's hand and lead him to the large garage filled with paintings. Most covered up, some hanging on the walls. Glancing around, Alver tried to find the ones of Miky's dreams. It had been awhile since Alver painted them... since it had been awhile since he heard a tale. The Garage carried various paintings. Some were of nature, others of animals, quite a few of the starry sky... and there were a few hiding that were a little more darker. That gave the feeling of lonliness, and a few that were just gave a uneasing feeling. Darkness with one little white speck. Or one with the outline of someone transparent, invisible, while a crowd of people went on their daily lives... although further back hiding was where Alver hid his more sentimental paintings. Art of his childhood friends. The newer ones had paintings of his grown up friends in costume. He had painted a group painting of everyone as children together, hanging out and sitting around a tree. Then the paintings he drew of Miky's little spells.

Alver took some paintings and uncovered them before showing Luke. "These are some more I painted. Which would you like Luke?" the albino asked curiously, showing several.

Happy New Years Everyone :D

Tora smiled a little in response. "Well I do wish to become a Pokemon Breeder, taking good care of Pokemon comes with the job." she answered, before watching as the white haired boy sent out a scyther. By the looks of things, not really a fully tamed one. Which wasn't too odd since Scyther are naturally a bit aggressive. But this one was actually on the more calmer side compared to most of the species. Not outright attacking Cillian was a start.

"That's quite a nice Scyther. Though it make take a little bit for him to fight for you. Scyther tend to need to respect you first as a leader of the group before they are willing to follow orders." Tora mused a bit, taking out her sketch book and starting to draw on it. Releasing her other Pokemon to relax around the area. Sirius staying close to its trainer, while Pezi cheerfully bounded around.

Archie on the other hand, bounded over to the scyther. Sniffing at the much bigger Pokemon, giving a loud yip and a friendly wag of her tail before ears perking at the Pokemon. She quickly charged over, barking. The others nervously shuffled away from the dangerous fire Pokemon, but Venipede didn't seem to be having none of it. The bug hissed, its stingers waving threatenly before bravely charging at the puppy Pokemon. Tora glanced up, to see the Venipede, a Pokemon that were highly aggressive and had pretty deadly poison and paraylzing abilities. Her Growlithe however dodged the sudden poison sting, flames snorting out of her nostrils before spewing a torrent of flames from her mouth. KO'ing the bug/poison type with ease.

"Archie, you shouldn't pick fights like that. You could have gotten hurt." Tora scolded, but Archie just trotted over and barked at her. Soon digging at her bag and grabbing a pokeball between her teeth, then trotting over to the barbecued Venipede and tapping the Pokeball against it. The bug disappeared inside before rocking once, twice, thrice, then dinging in a complete capture. Giving a howl of victory, the fire type proudly trotted back and dropped the Pokeball in Tora's lap.

Tora blinked a little before chuckling and patting the Growlithe on the head. "I'm starting to wonder who's the Pokemon trainer here." she mused before picking up the Pokeball and releasing it.

The Venipede reappeared, burnt up and tired, but still angrily hissed at the Growlithe. "I'm sorry about that Venipede. Archie just likes to battle a little." Tora said, carefully picking up the bug and rubbed her hands against the shell gently. Trying to soothe the burns a little. The Venipede hissed but didn't sting, mostly just glared at the Growlithe. "How about we name you... Rachni?" she hummed, the now named Venipede just snorting in response.

Can I join?

Well hello there hat :D
@toadropes@silver fox I'd be down for that. This is just to battle right -- does anyone wanna pick up a snubbull (litter) while we're at it?

Really sorry I'll try to post as soon as possible xD
So, uh, anyone want to find a Granbull?

Sure? XD
As Luke lept with joy and jumped in the tall man's arms, Alver chuckled and embraced the child, setting the starry blue otherworldly painting aside to scoop Luke up and basically cuddle him. Glad he was able to cheer the child up a bit. He was such a cutie! Giving a little kiss to the top of the head of the child, Alver walked back to the dining table and sat in Luke's seat, letting the child sit on his lap. Reaching his long arms out, he shuffled some of the salad, broccoli, carrots, and some slices of Apple onto Luke's plate. Piercing a carrot with a fork and held it out to Luke.

"Now say 'Ahhh'..the sooner we finish eating and clean up, the sooner we can go pick out your own present for you and Papa." Alver smiled warmly. He was a little worried over Miky's apparent recent behavior. He would have to have a talk with him sometime. It wasn't good to worry Luke so much, but it also might be something he just couldn't talk about yet.

It made him wonder what these nightmares were like. If he beautiful side of the spells could be so enchanting, the nightmares must be quite terrifying. The albino remembered that Miky said they were quite vivid back when they were younger. It was a reason he always spaced out so deeply. Still was it a good idea to attempt to open a sore wound? But it might have to be done, for both of their same. For now, he'd focus his care on Luke.
