Bastian knocked on the door of the cottage and waited. Nothing. Was this not the right cottage? He knocked again a bit louder this time. A dog began barking in response. That was reassuring. The man was a dog trainer after all. Perhaps if this turned out well he could ask him to train Rufus.

As he continued to wait dutifully at the door a thought occurred to him. He was here to see a man that couldn't walk. Would he even be able to answer the door? Bastion got his answer in the form of the door opening. He was greeted by a man in a chair who he assumed must be Lorenzo.

"Hello. I am the physician that was sent for. I am here to see Lorenzo."

Bastian was already pretty certain that the man in front of him was Lorenzo, but you could never be too sure. He knows what happens when you assume.
