Not my own words, but: "Enjoy memes and have a good time online, but develop a solid sense of self-worth that is rooted in a reality that doesn't disappear when the battery charge is empty."

Cool stuff. I think I'm aiming at a knight, then - a retainer of Valois that managed to survive the pirates' takeover, who resents High King Ferrand & Daggerfell's refusal of aid when Wayrest needed it in the first place. His oaths of loyalty force him to take Everard III's side. Now I just need an excuse to have him roaming Skyrim instead of fighting the good fight at home. I suppose that's where affiliation with an order might come in, but I haven't decided any more than that.
Sentient sword, you say?

It's totally this, isn't it?

Should we use knightly orders established in TESII: Daggerfall, or might we be allowed to come up with our own? I was thinking of a knight originally in service to Wayrest & the Valois, either fleeing the civil strife after incurring some kind of loss, or going on an errant journey to Skyrim.
Depending on how soon you can enter, the current mission will go on for about a month (OOC time). If you can pump out a sheet within a week or two, then we'll find you some way to integrate you into a mission. If you want to wait a bit, we'll just have you start in Dawnstar for the next destination.

Skillwise, restoration, pickpocketing, mercantile, heavy armor and woodworking are uncommon in the group. Oh, and provisioning too, a lot of our characters are getting sick and tired of eating Tamrielic McDonald's.

I believe we haven't had a female Redguard yet.

I had a few character ideas; the one I'm leaning on strongest is a Breton sword-for-hire, based on the landsknechts, Swiss and other mercenaries of the medieval and renaissance eras. Maybe his heritage gives him a little magical aptitude on the side.
Or perhaps he could be a knight-errant.

Looking at the equipment guidelines and in keeping with ES lore, I suppose I'll have to save my plans for a revolutionary with a sentient sword for another RP.
Just as a writer, it is frustrating to see people make a new idea, but use a crutch as a means to establish a setting. Like... I get humans are supposed to usually be omnipresent in some form to take on some scope of relatability, but in fiction you should do more to make races rather than copy and paste. It just gives a sense of nervous if you don't, and nervous if you do. But... I dunno... It isn't about the race idea, it just seems entirely risk free. And to me that is boring.

@Leoven This has nothing to do with the RP, but it's been bothering me for a really long time: what game is that avatar from?

Dragon Age: Inquisition? At least the signature is.
I have to go through the CSs and educate myself on our current roster, but what might be a good way to jump in, & what sorts of gaps might need filling in the group(s)?
Not a summary of all the copulating that has happened in Fruits of Contention

You left out the best part! I don't care about angry Spriggans or surprise Dark Brotherhood reunions; I need to know who's bedding who!
