Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)
Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)
But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)
@Demon Shinobi I think if we're going to be actually starting anything. We need to do it sooner as opposed to later. It's already been 10 days. It's far more than enough time for anyone who was interested to finish a CS. It wasn't a particularly complicated one. :/
Bastian quickly ordered what Elizabeth selected, along with several mutton skewers. Releasing her, before paying the gentleman and handing her the food. He inhaled the pleasant aroma of the meat, held between his fingers. Facing her, not grabbing her arm again.
"You seem smart enough to not run off. Stay close to me." Bastian said walking off, averting his eyes from her sight, using his twitching ears to focus on his surroundings. If she would've tried to escape, he'd be aware and able to stop her before getting very far. Bastian pulled some meat from the skewer starting to chew and coming to a realization before swallowing. He glanced back. "Do you have a name?"
Regardless of her answer, he didn't speak another word for the remainder of their walk...
* * *
Finishing his meal. Approaching a large stable on the outskirts of town after several minutes, plenty of folks leaving their horses and goods under the owner's protection. Heading toward a horse drawn cart, Bastian stroking the black mare's side. Motioning for Elizabeth to come closer to the back of the cart. He opened a wooden chest and pulled out clean clothes, fitting a woman with a similar frame, though quite baggy for her. Bastian held the clothes out for her to take. "Take those rags off and put these on."
@Heat That genre was more hardcore, without the punk. :P
6/10 That song was definitely a punk/talking style voice. I appreciate when a band can have a good time. I hate music video interruptions and sound effects that disrupt the song, but it wasn't that bad. Decent listen.
Maybe I can convince someone else to give this guy's who never listened their album's a try. So I won't be alone. But this progressive rock done right.
@Dynamo Frokane I mean with sincerity that an apology isn't necessary.
To refrain from repeating myself. And because you seem to have enough on your plate. If you even care to, you change how you behave and interact with others, that's the best chance you have of changing how others behave towards you.
@Ammokkx I didn't mean to give you pity. I was merely being blunt.
In your own theoretical situation when people are attacking you for things that you yourself admit that you don't mean to offend people by. You've already shown, they don't care about context. If you follow me...It's not wrong to think, context matters. If you post something to not be offensive or personal and people take it that way...so what? Should you feel sorry for people that aren't wise enough to have critical thinking skills? 'Their' already being inconsiderate in this scenario, of you getting flak for something that you just want to be honest about. Judging first, and not asking questions. But I digress.
@Ammokkx I've learned to not give a damn what others think about what you want to say. If you don't make it personal. It isn't. No matter who whines about it. Simple as that. It's a vent thread, just because members are -allowed- to be attack dogs with virtually no punishment or even waggle of a finger. Doesn't mean you should censor yourself.
My quick bitching topic since I'm here and literally have been bitched at because I didn't bitch about roleplaying. Because people can't help themselves. Brainstorming is great, but try to actually -do- work/writing. Don't spend so long telling me what you're going to do. Just do it...*insert obvious meme here* write your CS, write your post, write so nobodies time is wasted! Roleplaying requires consistent writing. If you can't try write something well and write it when others need it, don't pretend that you want to roleplay.
Personality: His demeanor towards others is nearly antithetical to what's typically expected. Passionate, yet relaxed in ruling his domain, almost always optimistic in every situation while staying realistic. He's charismatic and quite chummy even towards strangers and those far beneath his ranks. He's even quite empathetic towards those suffering, lending an ear and maybe even a hand to those who desperately seek it. Invested into keeping in touch with his sons, acting paternally, being quite protective toward them. Very educated, constantly seeking new information and knowledge. Extremely interested in war.
He's incredibly stubborn and insecure, coping through occasional bouts of excessive drinking and/or eating. Often struggles with keeping his insatiable lust for blood under control, not drinking but spilling it. Having a fetishistic proclivity for causing and hearing about others pain. Holds grudges to his grave, can be quite obsessive about keeping his weapons in perfect condition.
Major Domain: The Underworld
Minor Domains: Demons and Sins
Your Avatar:
Asmoday's strangest creation, the being dwells somewhere inside Asmoday's castle underground layer. It's rumored that it's presence is the reason that magic overflows in The Underworld and allows Asmoday to watch over his entire land. It has never spoken a word. Seldom does it even move from the rock its perched on. You'd be greatly unfortunate to be in its prescience...
Stance: Being quite fickle, he could be accused of having no concrete stance. His mind can be changed on whose worthy on claiming and keeping the throne. He's just certain that he doesn't particularly want the responsibility himself.
Relations:
Allies: Koritomo - (God of War) Aela - (Goddess Of Life) X - (God Of Knowledge) Typhonne - (Goddess Of Storms) Sleeth - (God Of Murder) Leoric - (God Of Lust) Legoran - (God Of The Sea) Naqqash - (God Of Loss and Pain) - (Goddess Of Moon)
Close Friends: Koritomo - (God of War) X - (God Of Knowledge) Leoric- (God Of Lust)
Neutral: Azah - (Goddess of Justice) Sylendre - (God Of Nature) Oao - (God Of Darkness) Telios - (God Of Sun) Polaris - (God Of Stars) Legio - (God Of Mankind) Galvan - (God Of The Forge) Califer - (God Of The Hunt) ??? - (God Of Dreams) Artheron - (God Of Predators)
Enemies: Necrarch - (God Of Undeath) Alinius - (God Of Death)
Loyalty During the Rebellion: His loyalties lied nowhere, he wasn't wanted either. Only observing the war from afar and enjoying it immensely, making him regret that he didn't participate himself.
Center of Power: A simple yet flawless golden chalice that's frequently overflowing with alcohol and used for every supper.
Powers: Despite his impressive agility, swordplay and flight. His main abilities are quite different from typical gods, his powers rely on greatly influencing and benefiting others. Granting his sons, great mental powers. While also granting god-like physical strength and speed. Also allowing unhappy mortals/slaughtered souls traveling from other lands to join his side, turning them into powerful lesser demons with great strength/mental fortitude. If Asmoday needs something done, to avoid causalities (which is funny if you think about it.) he can create large armies of temporary shadow-like demons that he can control and give commands, having the strength/endurance of the lesser demons (powers he grants mortal) they don't get injured by mortal weaponry or effected by most elements, that can travel through and outside the realm and last for 48 hours.
Giving the ability to temporarily/sometimes permanently influence emotion and minds, getting others to indulge in great sins. Overwhelming and flooding minds with whatever ideas they're presented with. Also being able to manipulate and absorb memories of others. Also able to remove people's intelligence and skills with great lasting effects. Having the ability remotely possess any and all entering/living in his lands regardless of individual fortitude. His powers are greatly effected by the amount of people living there, the more people that are killed and stay in The Underworld, the stronger his influence and ability to transfer his powers becomes.
Weaknesses: He's actually less experienced in combat than his two oldest sons and is probably weaker strength wise. Quite ironically, can be emotionally manipulated. Though having impressive mental fortitude against magic, his very real insecurities can make simple spoken words completely effect him and make him emotionally lash out. His godly equipment is thoroughly unimpressive. His powers are greatly effected by the amount of people living there, if a huge amount of the population were to leave he'd be much weaker. (possibly having next to no power at all.)
Godly Equipment: 'Skin Of The Damned': The given name to his armor, crafted solely for him. Practically impenetrable from mortal weapons, even surprisingly durable against God Bane weapons and surprisingly lightweight. Though not particularly notable otherwise, though widespread rumors say that touching the armor will lead to instant death.
'The Wretched' and 'The Woeful': Two impressive looking swords, that have been described in various ways, the most popular stories are 'The Wretched' (The Red) can disintegrate whatever it touches and 'The Woeful' (The White) grants him invulnerability from nearly all magic, even God's Magic when it's in his grasp. All who dare to attempt using the swords, will feel their weight and gravity get a thousand times heavier and even then, their individual powers only work for Asmoday.
However, it's a complete falsehood, they're both just very durable and lightweight weapons primarily used for countering other God's Bane weaponry. Both can be wielded by practically anyone whose a higher power.
Demi Gods: These are his (mostly) trusted sons, the ones often doing their father's bidding, traveling to other lands. Spreading the glory of sins and propaganda. Lending hands to the lost, sick and the damned and leading them into The Underworld. Each of them sharing a distinguished trait, some rumors say that each we're created for one of the five overwhelming feelings that mortals enter The Underworld have...
Lokotos (Hate)
9'0 Feet Tall The first born child whom murdered his mother. Spreads the most sin around, due to his relentless and vile behavior. Studious and intelligent, having the ability to hover without having sharing father's wings. Often getting people to travel to the underworld through getting their body torn to shreds, though seldom from his own claws. Spreading lies and misinformation to get everything he desires, often filling mortals with violent hatred. Having growing disapproval that his father has emotional weaknesses. Despising the peace that's kept within Plagueis and throughout the other lands. Wanting to usurp the throne from his father waiting for an ample time to strike, destroying as many nations and other gods as possible, the only lives he's concerned with are ones that he eradicated.
Thryce (Vengeance)
10'0 Feet Tall The second born who set the village ablaze, that burned his loving mother by the stake, for conceiving a demon spawn. He's devoted to carrying out his father orders and isn't too concerned with anybody else. Taking a more persuasive route in convincing those imprisoned or desperate ones without anything to lose and filling them with greed and envy of everyone around them. Giving them desires to become powerful demons. Often in isolated locations, keeping to himself unless you foolishly decided cross him. He'll follow those he seeks revenge upon for eternity, if necessary and he's never been the merciful type.
Ebiinate (Emptiness)
6'0 Feet Tall (quite short and the closest to resembling a mortal being.) The middle son was convinced his mother died of an incurable disease. Traveling across the world often without flight, seldom using the wings hidden underneath his cape, searching for the purpose of existence. Usually spending entire days asleep, without speaking a word to anybody. Remaining silent even when spoken to by his father, only Rytram will occasionally hear from him. Unlike several of his brothers, he doesn't proactively spread sin. Often finding himself seeking those without hope and thinking about committing suicide. Comforting them and filling others with trust to confide their troubles to him. The sole question he'll ask...“Do you seek escape from your suffering?” Answer yes, and their memories will be completely erased. Making them mirror his own hollowness, but he doesn't really understand why anyone desired to feel anything...
Krawle (Lunacy)
8'0 Feet Tall The fourth son, mutilated by his mother throwing him into the fire, harshly punished by his father. Doesn't question his father's commands, flooding mortals brain with insanity, changing the best and brightest into feeble minded animals. He doesn't have a tongue to speak, his only verbal communication is laughing madly. One of the slowest brothers (physically and mentally) His disturbing appearance and unpredictable violent outbursts that can last for days, hides a completely fragile and broken soul. He often gets the most attention from his father, to rectify his past failures to protect him. Vowing he'd never sleep with a mortal again...
Rytram (Regret)
8'5 Feet Tall The Final Son, whose very conception was a terrible mistake, though he was never told what really happened. The father abducted him from the mother, who tried running away, wishing for Rytram to live an ordinary and a happy life. He consistently disobeys his father, doubting his father's and his sibling's decisions. Behaving more like a mortal being than the rest of his siblings, capable of having normal conversations to those who don't fear his mother's beastly appearance. Only interested in finding his mother, despite knowing she's probably deceased. Manipulates others emotions only for selfish gain, being constantly lustful. Filled with self-doubt and self-loathing. The other siblings strongly dislike him, aside from Ebiinate, who formed a strangely close relationship with him.
Name of your Land: Plagueis (The Underworld)
Lands: It's nothing like the rumors surmise, you don't even need to die to get there. It's an expansive area of land that looks about the same no matter where you go or what time. The skies are almost always a darkened blue with floating bodies of magical light wandering high and low, harmlessly passing through the ones who live there. Many small houses built from solid stone, in close proximity to one another, rarely does one need to worry about homelessness here. Many mountains filled with natural resources, with caverns that look like giant amethyst geodes. Clean water, from lakes with exotic plant life that all appears dead but that's continuously cleaning the toxins from the water.
A rich and fertile soil, despite the lack of real sunlight. That has many inhabits growing their own special variety food, that isn't grown or sold elsewhere. It's consistently a warm climate, that occasionally reaches very hot temperatures, never cold and it only has light rains on occasion caused by the bodies of light. Making up for the lack of trees or greenery, the lands are filled with nearly unbreakable rocks that are warm to the touch, emitting red light, producing vast amounts oxygen. However no animal can live here, if one traveled here it would instantly perish.
The only unique area of Plagueis, is the god's own personal domain, with a usually pulled up drawbridge, surrounded by an endless abyss. Rumored that it's where Asmoday casts unwanted souls, a void that's freezing, devoid of life, always dark and inescapable, acting as a purgatory that only Asmoday has access to. The castle constructed by golden skulls and bones, even the floors were paved with glittering gold. The inside being just as impressive and extravagant as the outside.
People: Almost always growing in numbers and likely the most diverse in the quantity of races that travel and live there, coming in drastically different shapes and sizes. Despite over half of the population being monstrous demons that other lands wouldn't hesitate to slaughter.
Culture: The vast differences people are unified through an extremely nationalist and nihilistic viewpoint. A strong sense of unwritten guidelines that everyone follows to quite a strict degree, taken very seriously by all inhabitants. Nearly everyone is dedicated and grateful to their king and their land. Usually scornful and distrusting toward outsiders and other gods. Though outsiders allowed to travel here, they're considered unwelcome if they don't become one of them. Places elsewhere are loathed and hated by nearly everyone, and talking about them positively or even neutrally isn't advised.
A community where everyone must help their neighbor, there is no real differences in social class, no currencies, almost completely devoid of artistry or music despite it being allowed. Very rarely will anyone even share a different opinion. The king will occasionally send those willing, which tend to be anyone living there, to go out to other lands and spread their gospel, convincing those who are impoverished, mistreated or condemned that there's a perfect place for them.
There's rarely any crime among themselves. However sins of pleasure aren't frowned upon here, except smoking which is banned. In fact if you didn't eat and drink in excess, you'd probably get odd stares. Allowing those willing to hurt and feel pain to their heart's content. Many fights break out purely for enjoyment. Allowing inhabitants living there to have sex right out in the open if they pleased.
The only work that's done is farming crops for food and gathering resources in the many larger than life mountains and the occasional home building for new residents. The resources are abundant and often rare materials not found elsewhere, it's exported elsewhere across the world by sea, the only practical way to traverse into Plagueis, traded for purposes to gather more food and alcohol. Often receiving far more than they give out, which would likely backfire if the materials weren't so useful for forging weapons and armor. There isn't any real medicine, nor usually needed by it's inhabitants and weapons are strictly given out by the king for specific orders, so it's rare for the average inhabitant have a weapon of any kind. No outsider is allowed to keep their weapons on their person and those with weapons tend to specifically be guides for travelers. (So do come along, don't be shy...everyone is welcome here.)
Technology: Medieval technology, with a heavy leaning and reliance toward using magic.
Capital: There's no true capital of Plagueis. The only thing that resembles such is Asmoday's own enormous castle, which only himself and sometimes his sons reside. On most occasions, very few people are allowed inside and rarely stay for very long. There's a vast surplus of weapons, food and kegs of wine kept inside under protection for emergencies and to satiate that gluttonous appetite.
Beings: There are no living predatory or unusual beings that live here. That aren't themselves ordinary inhabitants. As any creature or animal that comes here dies instantly, their souls do not travel here.
