My Very Brief Bio

Male, 33 years old. (I'm even more dead than before.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Well a new roll of the dice gives me a chance that my next year could be an absolutely fresh change of pace or utterly miserable. (Who's betting on Red and who's betting on Black?)

But for now I have been and will be a very busy bee who is dreading Christmas shopping.

Outskirts Of Krist/Veros Plains

The grass blades danced to the delicate breeze brushing through his thick fur as the big black beast basked in the comforting light. Sunshine shimmering against his silver shoulder plates and drawn crimson blade that his blackened tongue caressed clean. The sensory pleasures of claws squishing as they dug deeper into a deer’s carcass with the enamoring scent that made everything come to life. Another pelt had been left for any random player to pick it up, as the reward was the hunt itself. Lycaon had stood up from his resting position and casually sauntered onto the dirt road, plodding along while waiting on several players. Soon receiving Zee’s message and reading it brought a toothy grin across his face as he quickly sent a reply...

Excellent. I’m roaming the trail and enjoying the sunshine. I’ll be smelling your arrival.”

Lycaon checked his other message again, staring at it intently for a few moments before his sigh showed off an inhumanly deep voice, unconsciously scratching his belly to settle himself down.

Understood. So has it been solved yet?

We only just discovered its location last week. We’ve spent half of our resources just keeping other players away from it…

I’ll keep you posted. We need to find those artifacts!

Well I already have a plan for one of them. Where do you want to meet us?

His last message was sent an hour ago and he still hadn’t received word back. “Talk about being inconsiderate of one’s precious time.” His many tails swayed in rhythm with his wavering constraint to not follow up, but he swallowed his pride whole like his food. In reality he used his spare time to devour several 'low-fat' ramen cups that stacked tall with the rest of the trash in his dorm room, serving as a monument to his excess that was as equally ravenous in the virtual world. But Lycaon wasn't salivating to sink his fangs into noodles, and fat wasn't the thing that he so desperately desired to cut.

But that could wait until his 'Blood Brother' arrived...
@Frizan Appreciate the read.
@Dynamo Frokane To generalize, because late at night and using phone, they seemed to be heavily politicizing it. And the movie wasn't political at all, so I don't know why it was spun that way.

The Root article that was previously mentioned is kind of at that level.

I digress. Never take critics so seriously, moral of the story.

Watched The Ritual, it was Kay. Didn't hate the ending as much as people seem to on IMDB. Felt a touch too quick in its pacing, but creature design was interesting.

If I stay up, and I probably will. Maybe I'll finally try watching 'Get Out', Or 'It Comes At Night.' Since they're both supposed to be unbridled masterpieces.

*movies may not be watchable as I previously thought.*
@Dynamo Frokane Honestly, I don't remember the names. It's the kind of stuff you read, your eyes roll and you eliminate it from your memory.

On that note, went to see it while friends were over and when roommate wasn't busy. And yeah, it was good. Third act/battle dragged a bit and there's a nitpick here and there. But glad I saw it.
That trailerdidn't hype you up? I'm convinced now. You are actively trying to hate things. There's no other explanation for why you act the way you do.

Not the only one. XD

Well when it was first introduced and promoted, it didn't show "Spider-Ham". So I sort of had a different genre/tone in mind. The other trailer gave 'this will be the teen titans/big hero six movie' vibes. ^_^'

@Fabricant451
Not entirely wrong. Not like I go out of my way to find things. I just google "reviews" and see whatever is the most promoted and popularly shared.
What journalism do you mean? Everything I've seen about the movie has been positive.

Well it *was* positive coverage, but the way it was praised and what was focused on made it sound very unappealing. (basically equivalent to think pieces, and just as badly written and half-assed as that implies.) It was several outlets too, likely all copying off each other.

But I'm glad that it seems to be getting generally good coverage, because the trailer didn't exactly hype me up and I like Miles Morales as a character. (And we need more actually well-made animated movies.) But my next challenge is finding someone to *see* it with, maybe I can convince my roommate to go.
Well I've heard several people now praising the movie to high heaven. I guess I need to stop reading journalism about movies when they come out, because they actively make me want to avoid watching things. <.<
I'm admittedly very unsure what I want to do. :I

I'm sort of at the point where I want to do a flashback just to let the story progress to a point where it makes sense for my character to move. When laying low is probably the smarter move for her, and her location doesn't squeeze out much more content on its own. Unless I just go full blown massacre, and start the war at the church through secondary characters...

I also have had a pretty busy time with my sisters back in town, been spending a good portion of time with friends and family. (Or yesterday feeling miserable.) Which has not given much time to brainstorm. So figured it would be at least better to explain my lack of post, than leave you all hanging for too much longer.

Edit: I'll be away for the holidays and moving into an apartment soon. My last minute arrangements in finding and setting that up is majorly responsible for my inactivity. Assuming if everyone else is still interested in this, I'll post something when possible. (I just keep getting more swamped than I previously expected.)
