Posted. Though now I need to consider what color to use for my character. As my colors are red, purple and green. All things used by other characters. >.<

I guess both our colors look different enough, so I'm sticking to it for now.

His optimistic mind was searching for positives through this existential nightmare. Like trying to find the stray piece of hay in the needle stack. Flattened on the courtyard from an oncoming tennis ball straight between the eyes, it was embarrassing but it would be worth a good laugh after he recovered. Slowly becoming more consciously aware of hearing many concerned voices before blacking out, though one didn’t sound as familiar. But that fleeting thought was interrupted by a loud bang, which thankfully didn’t compound the pain onto the doubtless concussion he had. But that’s where the problems started. He didn’t feel any pain, as a matter of fact, he couldn’t feel anything. Numb from his fingers all the way down to his toes...so this is what it was like to be in a comatose state? Neat.

Finally opening his eyes and gawking at his grungy surroundings, a small dark space only lit by the frequent flashes of lightning coming from the cave’s mouth. “Not the worst dream I’ve ever had...I quite like the rain and I’m sure the plants could use drink—why am I so cold?” Noticing the Charmander standing there and addressing the various other pokemon in a very meta way. Ravi blinked dubiously, even as optimism goes, the idea of being transported into another world like an Isekai was a little Farfetch'd. Wait, did that mean he…

A glance down confirmed his suspicion, he had become a Seviper? He was about eighty percent certain with that assertion, given his knowledge of the show was secondary from his more obsessed online friends endlessly discussing it. His senses struck down the idea that this was merely a dream or an elaborate hoax...that and the hankering for a snack. This was somehow real. A tennis player with a talent for using both hands turned into a snake. Seems somebody had a crude sense of humor...but like every situation, he’d make the best out of it.

He attempted to smile at Trevor as he inquired for introductions. Not knowing how wicked his grin came across, nor how sinister his hissing voice was. With a ‘you look tasty’ look and tone, he greeted the rest of them while wiggling his forked tongue. “I’m Ravi Fukimori. Pleasssure to meet you.”

Quietly observing the others waking up and reacting, at least it appeared someone else was enthusiastic about this bizarre scenario. Turning to the Seedot, unaware of what it was actually called and replied. “I don’t think thisss is a dream.”

@Lugia As meta-aware as your character is. I'm surprised he isn't having a heart attack about having no flame on his tail, and going out the rain. ;P

Ravi The Seviper

Name: Ravi Fukimori
Species: Shiny Seviper
Age: 19

Appearance: His inner mouth and tongue were blue like a Shiny. But he still had an overall unique color scheme to his kind. His default face seemed to be a sadistic grin, matching his sinister sounding voice. Standing out in all the wrong ways.

History: His parents were apparently in a rather toxic relationship and had him out of wedlock. Kept because of the mother’s religious background and father’s desire to have a son. A perfectly healthy baby, with his first nine months passing by without trouble. But whether it be a cruel twist of fate or a blessing in disguise, his parents had been in a terrible accident. Both sent to the hospital and were treated quickly, which lead to them being comatose. Instead taken care of by an Uncle and Aunt, an energetic and loving duo that any kid should appreciate. And he did. Learning much of this later on in life through incidental eavesdropping, he didn’t feel particularly sad when he visited his parents on the weekends.

Growing up to be highly optimistic and humble, rarely complaining and doing whatever he could to smile and make friends. Living in an upper-middle class household as an only child, if you didn’t count the ‘fur babies’. Two male golden retrievers named Ringo and Banjo. His early childhood funded a private school from a good trauma insurance policy, along with his comfortably retired folks. It was a fairly privileged lifestyle, not that everything was easy. As he found public schooling difficult, as he had an arguably average intelligence and got picked often for acting like an airhead and being so naive. His hobbies were varied, since he was always trying new things. Including manga and anime being his guilty pleasures that he hid from others. Privately discussing them in forums with many English speakers, which caused him to study and learn the language.

One thing he was actually talented at and stuck to was Tennis. Fast on his feet and nearly ambidextrous with the racket, it garnered him several completely separate circles of friends. At 19, he had many friends on the web and on the court. Allowed to try to become a professional player by his folks. His life in isolation seemed to be going fairly swell...then he took a rapidly approaching tennis ball straight into his forehead. Blacking out and waking up in another reality...

@Lucius Cypher Is that how we're going to balance it? I figured slowness, general weakness and incompetence could balance the scales. But again, I'm fine with whatever's decided.

(I can add "is a tiny danger noodle" to my appearance, if you'd like. Would make the idea of me still having an intimidating presence amusing. XD)

@Lucius Cypher Oh I get that and agree. That's why I didn't add the whole "turns" aspect either. Because it would make more sense for more experience for the hold to last longer or shorter depending on the target. Aware realism goes both ways. Just thought it was worth bringing up. Suppose it's a "cross that bridge when we come it issue".

@Lucius Cypher I'm perfectly fine with changing it then. But since we're not running on 100% game logic, may I posit a realism world vs gaming scenario conundrum?

The old D&D style problem where a lower level assassin has an average dagger up to someones throat and ends up succesfully stabbing him through it. Does it do 4-5 damage to this tougher guy. Or did he just get stabbed through the throat?

Like if I used Wrap. I could fully see a scratch, bite and various other attacks being used as a counter. I just don't know how it would "look" if my wrapped opponent did a 'Hi Jump kick'. Like would it roleplay like..."Character used Wrap on Hitmonlee, holding you tight and squuezing you tighty." "Uh. Double kick?" "I for some reason let you loose enough to use that attack and you go back into the Wrap for a few turns."

I guess you mentioned cartoon logic, so maybe somebodies cleverness can play a factor in combat? Because unlike most of the games terrain and various other methods may play a factor. I'll edit the CS, was just curious how that would be handled.
