A reminder you dont need to know every detail of every bad thing. Being informed is good but being consumed achieves nothing good. You're still a good person if you have boundries with bad news

Emily treaded over to Alex and Des. "Man, that was brutal, wasn' it?" She comments as she makes her way over to the duo. "Gotta say, nice to know someone else 'round here has guts o' steel. Still, th' wrath o' Kacey ain't worth it 'Alf th' time. Sometimes it best to walk away an' jus' leave 'er t' 'er own devices, y'know?" She states. "I ain't gonna lie Des, I ain't your biggest fan but your guts is admirable," she gives him a firm pat on the shoulder. She then turns to Alex, "An' if you know th' women of th' group you'd know it ain't hard t' be slapped 'round 'ere," she says with a chuckle, finding pleasure in the memory of the time she had given Alex a good whack in the face herself, not that she could remember her motive for it now.

Emily turned in the direction Kasey had taken off in. Should she chase her down? Emily shook her head, answering her own question. Kacey looked rather... strung at this point, Emily figured she want to be alone. Besides, it wasn't worth the risk of being on the receiving end of an outburst. "M' best advice? Leave 'er alone while you can. 'Er sister too, it ain't worth it. I mean, I ain't your fan but she really doesn' like ya. If y'don't like 'ow she runs things, leave,"

@The Muse Awesomeness :) Thanks
@The Muse Here's my character

@The Muse Yo, so are we working with pretty much the same prejudices and such of medieval times? In other words I want to do a POC, would it be normal for her to experience prejudice for her skin colour or is that not a part of this reality?
Unless anyone had their heart set on it I'd like to call dibs on Apollo's champion
This has caught my eye :)

"Yeah, thanks for the advice," Lucinda groans after, her face still pressed into her forearms. He had a point though, she wasn't really paid to sit around contemplating her future but she doubted she was born for this... whatever this was. The sickness, the power, the death dream, the appearing in LA. This was not normal, not life. She shouldn't have to spend her days getting more and more freaked out by the second as the case got more and more mysterious. Probably not as far as others were concerned but for her sake, it was. It was times like these she regretted keeping this a secret, she needed someone to confide in, someone to vent to, despite God that was, she needed a human, another whatever the heck she was. She sighed, rubbing her face as she looked back up at the empty word document. As much as she regretted keeping it a secret who would believe it? She'd probably be thrown into a looney bin if she confided in another. Or if she proved it, what was to say they'd keep it completely locked? Lucinda groans again. She wasn't paid to do this.

She floated her hands above the keyboard to begin the article as in the distance music played from Justin's desk. She could identify the voice almost instantly, anyone who was subjected to the radio of the past year could. Lucinda wasn't particularly a huge fan of Riley and her band but, in saying that, didn't hate it either, just not in her favourites list. With that in mind the dreams came back to her, random dreams with random people. That's when she realised... she'd seen the star a few times in passing in her dreams. Lucinda shoved her face into her arms again. What was even happening?
Sorry for the short post but there wasn't too much for me to go off and life has just got me so overwhelmed and shit rn I just can't think properly, sorry

Lucinda watched as Justin's watchful gaze slipped from her face to his computer, almost forlornly. "Oh you know, just putting the edits in that you folks get missed spelled and putting in corrections, and making sure that the sources are in there, the usual boring stuff." Justin answered.

"Oh fun times," Lucinda replies dryly, poking his shoulder. She swivels her chair back to her computer, staring at the blank word document. She was clueless of how to start this, not really because her skills were failing her but that her mind screamed the possibilities of her future. The dream, the beast, the powers, what it all meant for her. She groaned and buried her head in her hands
