After feeling the inpact from punching the direrat and seeing it flip over, Nira felt pretty good about her chances of success. And this mood was only boosted further when her hunch about the flower was proven right when it wilted and she got a system message.
Your MP is Full.
"So it really was full of mana." *Avoid! Avoid!* It was immediately after this warning from her echo-voice that Nira became aware that the direrat had run up the tree in order to lunge at her. She started trying to move out of the way, but given how late she had noticed it she was quickly expecting to get dragged out of the air... at least until the direrat got hit by an unexpected mana orb.
Taking a quick look around, she noticed the nearby wisp and immediately started flying for cover while keeping an eye on the direrat. For as much as it had just helped her, she knew that it could have been just as likely that the wisp had missed and that she was the intended target.
*That was way too close.*
Taking a moment to breath, she tried to think things through. Sure, she was hungry amd it was her hunt. But she wasn't about to press her luck if the wisp decided it wanted to steal her hunt. It had the advantage of ranged attacks and she wasn't to sure on being able to get close without taking a hit, and she wasn't going to take that chance. She'd had enough of being held back by her body in her first life, so she was going to make sure this one lasted her as long as possible.
So, while still keeping an eye on the direrat, she waited to see what the wisp did. Regardless though, if she saw the direrat running away or trying to chase her, she'd take advantage of the opportunity to try killing it again once they were out of the wisp's sight.
I am a representative of Lady Fairy Blue, Sir Delac of the Phoenix household. There is reason to believe that Shinji may be in danger.
That helps explain some things. Anyways, Shinji got depressive, we tried to cheer him up, and though we managed to improve his mood a little, the problem he had nearly surfaced. Thankfully, we were able to help him stay in control, after which he said he was going to go and try to rest.
No no, I get that. I kinda ment that he should learn to mange how much energy he uses in his rage state so that he can fight for longer if he needs to.
"Oh, so Ash is going for explosives now? About time the science lizard cooked something up again." "Have to say, you've got 10 outa 10 survival thinking Asura." "So Ardur is getting armored soon. Nice." "Looks like you and Jason are truely becoming the Spook Group." "Ed, you make a fine berserker, but perhaps you should learn how to manage your energy." "Quite the insightful Wisp, let's hope it's friendly was well." "Given Digbie's namesake, I'm surprised he didn't bury them."
