I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

@Stern Algorithm I know what you were going for with your wish, and thanks for clarifying anyway, but the way you've described it is exactly why I think my character is likely to try and tag along or look cool for Salomea, perhaps even more so than if her words affected her hypnotically. Kei is a sucker for people more suave than she is. By her own volition, she'd be attracted to Sal's way of saying things so that people listen to and remember. Especially because she isn't always right- Gosh, I wonder how she does that?

True though their interaction doesn't have to be rude, we can leave it somewhat ambiguous.

Ok, that's fine then. Salomea wouldn't be too offended by being followed.
I'm waiting for nothing in particular. Depends on where the familiar goes. if it runs towards Salomea, she'll be forced to engage it. If it wanders further away, Salomea's guilty conscience might override her desire to enjoy a peaceful day and make her go after it.
@Stern Algorithm
Of course, this was back in the past when she didn't know better.

Yeah, that makes sense.
"You feel obligated to finish the journey, despite what's happened, I assume?" Emtardas asked. "perhaps it will give you closure, perhaps not."
"You were surrounded by strikecraft, then you were hit by an enemy ship's cannons, which knocked you out," Tera explained.

"If I had gotten there faster, if I had destroyed more enemies, you might not have been in so much danger," Solomon continued.

"I-it was a lucky hit," Israfil said.
Well the of the wish itself probably wouldn't affect magical girls because it isn't a magical ability. As I see it wishes are a bit more subtle then that, and while the desired result is achieved(Kyubey usually does keep his end of the bargain wish wise), its not really brute forced usually.

So with that wording it's less enslaving everyone around you and more like a charisma up/people pay attention to her more like Stern seemed to imply it is. Her wish wasn't for people to be mesmerized, just for people to pay attention.

Even with a high ToF, wording is critical. You can be ToF 12 (The highest theoretical ToF) and if you wish for a cake you're just gunna get a cake and that's that.

Yeah, that's more or less what I was thinking. Instead of realizing that she's mind controlling people and falling into despair like Kyouko's father did, the negative ramifications of Salomea's wish are also more subtle. For example, advice or suggestions that she proposes are taken to heart, but lead to unexpected and undesirable outcomes (because Salomea's not an expert in anything). She realizes her words carry undue weight, even when she's wrong about something (which she often is). Something to that effect.

There, you are no longer Meguca :p

Yes, but the specific request made was to give up being meguca before she got herself killed. Catch 22 and all that.

Thanks. I feel like Salomea's voice (as result of her wish) would just mesmerise Kei and make her follow Salo around, as she does with Mary, which might not be mean but might certainly come off as rude, especially to a nervous type. Does that suit you?

I sort of assumed Salomea's wish doesn't affect other MG's. I also didn't think of it as being a 'verbal mind control' wish (like Kyouko's was for her father). In my mind, the wish is weak and incomplete due to how its phrased, but strong enough to give her the life-improvement she desired. Maybe it should be stronger considering Salomea's ToF, but that would be up to @Cleopatra to decide. And Kei and Salomea's interaction doesn't necessarily have to be a rude one.

@Stern Algorithm
Julia would have scolded Salomea for being so hesitant and slow to act in battle, and told her to give up being a magical girl before she got herself killed as she left.

I'm open for it, I like Salomea's character and Kei is still lacking a little in the connections department.

@Stern Algorithm@A Cute Angel , and anyone else really, do your characters have phones? Is it likely that Kei would have their numbers?

Sorry, I should have responded to these earlier. Sure, we can have it so Salomea and Kei met previously. Salomea would probably give up her phone number if Kei asked for it regardless of if Kei was nice or not.

@Stern Algorithm
I'm up for it as one of the rude ones.

In other news, a novel post that is still shorter than what some of you crank out. How embarrassing.

Yeah, we can have it that Salomea and Julia meet in the past, probably the first MG Salomea meets. Julia beats the witch while Salomea cowers or something.
I am fine having Shizuka stay in the Weatherman storyline. Although Shizuka doesn't have any side characters other than her unnamed party animal roommate, and the unnamed barista/boss at the Shining Kettle.
