I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

Yup!
Hey all, here is my CS, I still need to finish blaster description and have a sample of my character, but I really need to get to bed right now. I will update when those are complete.

At this point it seemed that ShiZhen had calmed down a bit, so to Rebecca's knocking she asked, "I-is Marco still there?"

As Alice approached Rana, her eyes narrowed, judging her for a moment before relaxing, glad the other girl had agreed with her current course of action.

"That's insane!" Marco cried out in incredulity. He looked over at Leonard and felt the boy's hand in his own, trembling. "We barely made it out of the base alive, we don't have the strength to face their full force! We need to stop for a moment and think!" While Marco wasn't usually the voice of reason, he felt this decision would kill them all.

"What would you suggest we do?" Rana asked in a cold, condescending tone.

"Contact Humanity!" Marco cried.

"The Project was secret, but someone must have given it away," Rana continued, "Who do you think might have done so? Can we trust that individual isn't somewhere in the upper echelons of the Empire waiting to pounce on us? To go back to the Empire is what they're expecting us to do."

"I am conflicted," Stella interrupted. "There is not a proper chain of command for me to defer to when obeying your decisions as none of you have been ranked yet."

"Th-that's right," Marco said, realizing something, "I'm older than her, and I'm the son...I'm the son of...one of the researchers on the project..." He hoped that would amount to something.

Rana shot an glare of rage and disdain at Marco and then fixed her gaze at Stella. Rana's red eyes flashed for a moment as the ship wobbled suddenly, lights and monitors flickering as Stella gave a reaction as if of physical pain.

"You will obey. ME. Ship." Rana said forcefully, having used her cybernetic ability to hack into electronics to threaten the Arcana Fantasia.
Inside her cog, there was a strange crackling on the speakers. Then an oddly synthesized voice came out, "[I'm sorry about your sister.]"
"Yay!" Kalram exclaimed. "Let's go higher!" he said, wanting to release some pent up energy.
Does slave labor consist mostly of 'working in mines' or is there a 'corporate hell' aspect to it? Can my character be an accountant/secretary/nonspecific white collar worker?
<Snipped quote by Stern Algorithm>

*cough cough* that was my idea lol *cough* how did you even like what *cough* you're a mindreader *cough cough*

But, seriously, I think that was ProPro's idea for the 6th ranger (which I am definitely going for, BITE ME!).

I have no intention of stealing the 6th Ranger spot from you. I'll go ahead with developing this character anyways, because I have a sneaking suspicion they won't end up being that similar.
I have three questions:

1. What are the chances for a normal human office worker to encounter Githkin? Are Githkin ubiquitous or are they something of a 'company secret'? I just want to know if my character will have encountered Githkin in his/her past and if he/she could have formulated some misconception of them.

2. Can my character not be immune to the brainwashing? In the sense that he/she was brainwashed into distraction/hopelessness rather than the usual happy satisfaction, and that some event, maybe a raid by the resistance at his/her workplace caused him/her to get rescued/kidnapped by the resistance, where they tried to undo the brainwashing. My character ends up working for the resistance, but whether that's because the brainwashing was undone or because he/she started having Stockholm Syndrome is uncertain.

3. Should faceclaims be real, or is anime allowed?
"I see," Kalram said, a bit crestfallen. Then he lit up again, "Oh well, Soren is interesting enough, but since you'll be our merchant, could you take me out on one of your trading expeditions?"
"If there aren't anymore questions, then everyone's dismissed," Sion said, "Feel free to continue training, and you have permission to challenge each other to simulation combat."
