Awesome guys. I didn't exactly state this, but for future reference, we haven't been able to achieve space flight. So if you make a new race please keep in mind that no knowledge or how to is known quite yet. It's only been spoken about as myths or theories. Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Would you like me to change the history to fit that (I.e They are native to the planet) or is the whole marooned alien story ok?

Role: SOLDIER 1st Class
Location: Junon
Tag: Alain - @Double, Laphicet - @Tenma Tendo, Astral - @Renny, Damian - @Zarkun

Caius' helicopter came in low as it hugged the ground towards Junon, the sound of the rotating blades making it difficult to hear anything that wasn't a shout. He sat calmly on his seat looking at the pilots in front, the two in the middle of a discussion he couldn't quite hear. The way they paid more attention to their conversation than flying impressed Caius, it was clear they were very capable pilots. He rose from his seat and approached them, leaning over to speak to them. "How are we looking for time?" The pilot on the right hand side turned to Caius with a smile, "Two minutes out. Radio chatter is saying that it's pretty bad down there." Caius spoke back with an elevated voice, "I'd expect nothing else. Just make sure the second I am off you get yourselves out of here, I could do with you as my pilots again." The other pilot turned to Caius and at that point he realised that they were identical twins. "We appreciate the offer, would be nice to see what you guys get up to. Donny and Lonny Vetter at your service." Donny paused briefly before continuing, "You may want to buckle up."

A grin began to stretch wide across his face, something about it made Caius immediately sit back in his seat and fasten the harness. Lonny reached above his head and flicked a few switches, the white lights in the cabin replaced by a red one above the door to Caius' left. From out of the window he could make out the ocean, meaning they were about to pass over Junon itself. With his raised hand Lonny counted down from three with his fingers. As he dropped the last one the helicopter began to climb steeper and steeper before turning on a sharp angle. Sully felt himself become weightless for a brief moment before his body was driven into the seat behind. The door next to him opened as the helicopter levelled out, now facing Junon head on. The red light turned green as the Vetter brothers held the helicopter steady. They gave Caius a thumbs up as he stood up, giving them a nod in return. Cause leapt from the machine and onto a long rope that dangled to the ground below.

His cloak fluttered in the wind behind him as he descended quickly on the rope, somehow his hat managing to stay in place. He hit the floor with a solid thud, waving the brothers off with his hand. He watched them fly away, the black rope retracting back up with them. He quickly looked at the surrounding area, clear signs of fighting evident wherever he looked. Bullet holes in vehicle body work, blood stained pavements and scattered corpses. The sound of heavy rockets engaging came from nearby, he knew it couldn't be anything but the Metal Cricket. He broke into a steady sprint, avoiding the debris and corpses that littered the street. Eventually he was met by the ravaged entrace to the military base, entering with his Anima's Pain drawn.

The main courtyard was awash with battered robots and slain men alike. On the opposite side of the courtyard Caius saw a bolt of lighting devastate a group of enemies. The source of the lightning came from a figure he had seen once before. It wasn't anyone he had met before but it was another SOLDIER 1st Class who he had been briefed on previously. With him was a significantly smaller person in both height and bulk, however he had no idea who they were. The pair made their way to a nearby staircase. I need to catch up...

Caius kicked himself into a full sprint across the courtyard, his slight but toned legs propelling him at a quick speed. As he approached the stairs one of the lightning struck machines to his right tried to return to it's feet. No thank you... Caius put Anima's Pain out to his right without breaking stride. Electricity began to arc where the Rovers turret met it's lower body before the turret dropped to the floor with a thud, leaving the legs locked in position. The blade had cut clean through the already damaged machine with ease.

When Caius reached the bottom step he looked up to see the towering man and smaller person half way up. He began to bound up towards them, "Greetings, I am Caius Sully. It is a pleasure to meet the two of you."
@Holy Soldier I have made the adjustments on the original post:

-I have changed his backstory to something that is hopefully acceptable
-His materia is not representative of the abilities listed on Anima's wiki page
-I have changed the limit so that it targets one individual and no longer involves instant death. I've changed it so that the first hit of the ten has a 50% chance of enacting despell and debarrier. I would obviously prefer to have it be 100% but I that'd probably be too OP

If there are any further issues let me know and i'll sort what I can.

Appearance

Personality
With almost three centuries of existence behind him there isn't much that Sully has not seen and that can make him stubborn at times. This is a flaw that he is constantly trying to overcome, making more effort to listen to those younger than himself so that he does not constantly alienate himself. Aside from this, he is a considerate and compassionate person and will go out of his way to help those around him. In addition he has a steely determination and deep focus on whatever task he is doing, making sure that it is completed.

Backstory
Born in London to poor parents, Aramis Sully had a rough start to life. He was often sick and almost died as a child after contracting cholera, only surviving through sheer luck. Surviving that drove him to seek a better life for his family and so he started to work. It was nothing more than sweeping in the tavern but he found enough coin on the floor after closing to provide enough bread for a week.

When he was eventually old enough he joined the British army, by this point his father had died and his mother was suffering the after effects. He made sure that his wages were sent home to his mother so that she did not starve. Little did he know that he would not see her ever again. His service took him across the world but unfortunately it was during this time his mother succumbed to her sadness and ended her own life. A letter reached Sully to inform him when he set foot in America.

While fighting in the Anglo-Cherokee war Sully took part in a battle that saw a comprehensive British victory thanks to their superior firepower. What followed was nothing short of a systematic slaughter of innocents and prisoners of war. The man in charge, Arthur Connington ordered the complete annihilation of the local Cherokee settlement and all Native Americans no matter age or gender. Sully watched on as tents burned, women screamed and children were slain. He and several others protested the slaughter but were immediately told that any further complaints would be treated as treason against the crown. This was not enough to deter Sully as he and the others began to physically defend the Native Americans. There was then a bright flash and Sully found himself crashing to the floor, his legs giving way beneath him. Above him stood Arthur Connington, glaring down at him with a smirk across his face, it was the last thing Sully saw before blacking out.

The Londoner awoke in a tent, the dark interior illuminated by a raging fire. A grey haired, masked figure danced around it speaking in an unknown dialect, not English, nor Cherokee. With each word the fire grew more intense, the flames dancing more fiercely with each stamp of the floor. The dancing and words stopped suddenly, the figure turning and pointing at Sully. "You are of pure heart...the God's need you..." An otherworldly roar erupted from the figure, the fire engulfing the entire interior of the tent. Sully could feel the flames licking at his body but there was no pain, no heat, just the feeling of a caring embrace. The feeling slowly subsided as the flames receded, returning the tent to darkness. The figure made it's way to Sully taking a knee next to him, removing his mask to expose a wrinkled face beneath. "They saw what you did...that is why you have been granted this new power..." Sully looked at the man confused. "Now Aramis Sully...your life begins..." Sully felt eyelids become heavy, unable to keep them open.

Almost as soon as his eyes shut, Sully opened them to find himself back at the Cherokee village. The smell of slaughter and decaying flesh taunted his nostrils as his eyes surveyed the slaughter around him. The corpses around him had lay in rest for what must have been several days, becoming food for all types of wildlife. Sully sat up to find a scorched hole in the side of his tunic, a clear sign of a close range musket shot. Blood stained his tunic and the ground beneath him but there was no wound. He didn't know what had happened but he was determined to find out.

From that point Sully searched for an explanation behind how he was still alive. For the next two decades he travelled over land and sea, still not finding reason behind his survival. What he did realise however, was that it was not just his revival that was gifted to him. While travelling such vast distances he was attacked by many bandits and brigands but no matter how many stab wounds or gunshots he suffered, they always healed. He also began to realise that he was not aging, his early thirties face remaining the same even after twenty years of exploration. He knew that he had been given a gift, a gift that he would use to protect the innocent as best he could.

Since this realisation Sully has seen every corner of the world, fought in many wars and battles, all to protect the innocent from Tyranny. When he received his letter from The Sanctuary he accepted it without question. He was offered a position within the Sanctuary Guard which like the invite, he accepted. Since joining the guard he has enjoyed his life, helping to keep the innocents of The Sanctuary safe from harm. He currently resides with an Oni named Hiroki who he has worked with in the guard for the past six years.

@Sudkurve Accepted, to balance the Südkharri's strength, size, and technological advantage, I'm going to GM Fiat and say they require one and half again as much food as the average human to survive, and have a relatively small population, roughly a hundred thousand, with a few thousand scattered across the wastescape on the Exodus Initiative. Are you fine with that, or do you have another idea to balance the Südkharri? Don't worry, I'm all ears.

@Darcs Don't hesitate to suggest a character, the more the merrier!

That's fine with me, a heavier realiance on food makes perfect sense. Just glad to be accepted.

I've adjusted the character sheet so it mentions the 50% more food required.
