Jasper is the sort of girl that know what she wants, and she won’t stop until she gets it - rather it be a person, or an item. A very possessive girl, she has a problem with taking no for an answer. Tessa is also a very blunt person, always saying things the way that she sees them. She’s known to be a major bitch, and even cold-hearted at times. More often than not, it seems that she is only looking out for her own well being - though that is not entirely the truth, as she does care for her brother and maybe like one other person.

Most of the time, Jasper is rude and sarcastic. An opinionated young woman, she is never one to hold back what she's thinking. If it pops into her brain - she's saying it. While the young woman has more enemies than friends, there are a few people that she holds close to her heart and that she would do just about anything for. Flirtatious as can be, Jasper sees people as play things. `Seduce and destroy` is her motto. Once she's gotten what she needs, or hold another persons interest, she tends to become uninterested. This has led to many one night stands, tons of broken hearts, and quite a few enemies. While she enjoys the chase, Jasper has begin to wonder if perhaps she also has some trouble with commitment.

Upbringing Synopsis

Jaspers past is something that she always tries her hardest not to talk about.

Jasper and her twin brother Tiberius were born into an already failing marriage. Two young people married before they ever really had the chance to know one another, it didn't take long for Marie and Nicholas to realize that their marriage was failing. Despite her husbands cold demeanor, Marie did love him, and in one last, desperate attempt to get her husband to stay - they decided to have a baby. Nicholas wanted one child.One son. Jasper was the surprise - but obviously not a happy one.

In their haste to try and save their marriage, Jaspers parents failed to realize just how much responsibility having children was. Bounced around from Nanny to Nanny during their early childhood, Marie and Nicholas were always focusing on their careers more than their family. When a car crash caused Marie to break her left leg, the woman gave up her modeling career, convinced that it was the end of the world. By the time that her leg was healed, Marie had began to drink heavily and became addicted to the pain pills that the doctor had prescribed her. Being stuck at home with her children made her begin to hate them. One last failed attempt to find a caregiver for his children, Nicholas finally found a nanny named Rosalinda, who took great care of the kids. While she wasn't a replacement for Jaspers parents, she did help the kids in many ways.

Rosalinda is who Jasper has to thank for her ability to play the violin and guitar. She also owes the woman for sheltering her and her brother from their parents arguments.

Obsessed with her own body image, when Jasper hit the age of thirteen, her mother began to hound her over her weight. Beginning to grow into her body shape more now with puberty, Jasper did need new clothes every now and then - but she was by no means overweight. Sadly, Marie didn't look at it the same way.

From the age of thirteen until she was sixteen, Jasper was constantly told that she was fat, overweight, and even ugly. She knew that she would never be a model like her mother, and that didn't bother her. What did bother her, however, was the fact that her mother would do things to make Jasper feel fat. The young woman recalls on multiple occasions where her mother would buy clothes that were to small for her and expect her to be able to fit them. When she couldn't, Jasper was more or less forced to exercise at home, and eat small portions of so called healthy foods. Ty did his best to make his sister feel more valid in her own skin, but he could only do so much. While their mother was mentally and verbally abusive, their father was physically. Ty took the brunt of most of his rages for her.

By the age of fourteen, Jasper had began to develop an eating disorder. She would go days without eating only to gorge herself and ultimately feel guilty and make herself sick. When Marie found out, she was more than sure to let her daughter know that she thought she was a freak.

"If you didn't eat all the time, and actually followed the exercise, it wouldn't be so hard for you to be thin," she would say.

Her mother - to everyone surprise - actually put her daughter into therapy. While it took three years and her mothers eventual death to over come her eating disorder, Jasper was more than grateful for her brother and Rosalinda being there for her in every way that they could be.

Finding a love for cooking after her mothers death, Jasper fount that having curves and indulging yourself wasn't a bad thing at all. Deciding to go to school for her Culinary degree, she also began to explore her style a little more. Jasper is now proud to say that she is comfortable in her own skin.

Upbringing Synopsis

Tiberius was the older twin by seven minutes.

Born into a failing marriage, Ty was the wanted twin, but that didn't win him many favors with his parents. The nanny Rosalinda raised him and his sister Jasper for the most part, influencing them to do the things they loved.

Their father had always been abusive, but really started to get physical when Ty was 10 - around the time of Marie's car crash, heavy drinking, and addiction. While Marie lashed out at Jasper about her weight, and ultimately treated her son like a ghost, Nicholas lashed out at both of his children physically. Each time this would happen, Ty would put himself between his father and sister, forcing his father to direct most of his anger at him.

The first handful of times that the abuse occurred, Jasper was unfortunately involved, but eventually Nicholas got so fed up and tired with his son making a scene that Ty's goal was accomplished.

School was decent. Both he and his sister made decent grades, though it was hard to focus on school and have perfect GPA's with everything going on at home. Bruises were disguised under the lie that they were received during baseball practice or playing outside. Broken bones were not common, but came in sets of two or three at a time. Due to his influence at the hospital, Nicholas was never questioned about his sons condition there.
While he tried to be there for his sister in every way that he could, Ty's encouragement of her to eat and moral support just wasn't enough. It was some sort of strange relief to the twins when their mother died when they were fifteen. Sadly, Nicholas's abuse did not stop until Ty was seventeen. At this time, Tiberius had built up the strength both physically and mentally to fight back. After a few brawls, his father finally stopped hurting him, but continued to punch holes in the walls, break things, etc.

Thanks to Rosalinda, Ty found a passion for drawing at fifteen. She co-signed for him to get a tattoo at a shady ink shop on his seventeenth birthday, and he's been in love with the art of tattoos ever since. He is currently attending Meadow University to support Jasper, and because he was forced into it by his father. In order to get his grandparents and father to shut up about pursuing art, Ty is currently doubly majoring in psychology as well.

Alright guys. Time for a story.

Here's the tea, mate.

So when I joined Roleplayerguild, one of - if not the first roleplay(s) I Gmed was called When Royalty Collides. (WRC for short.) At this time I was fourteen. I had little to no internet access due to very controlling parents. With not enough time to GM the RP, it quickly failed. I was approached by Ayzrules (whom I call Az.) She wanted to borrow my idea and see what she could do with it. I, being young, thought that this was absolutely flattering. So I obliged.

I expected one try from her. Maybe two. Now almost five years later we've had eight or nine renditions between the two of us. I decided to try my hand at it again a few months ago. I was familiar with the concept, needed to get back into GM-ing and people were interested. I thought 'why not?'

Due to being super busy with my new job, I felt that it was best to close it again this time. I didn’t have enough time to give to the RP. I posted an announcement in the discord, received a few short parting messages from members. Standard RP shut down shit.

Well, I got a message from Az asking if she could continue to GM the RP because she had time. That message surprised me because she hadn’t been posting until the very last second for her characters, and had even dropped one during the course of the RP. She also didn’t help out with any of the Co-GM responsibilities that much. I also got an invite to a server, and another reassuring me that she could continue the current IC. I let the messages sit there for a few days, until I had time to hold a conversation. Work had kicked my ass that week. I sent her this message in response:

I'd love to be in the server, but most likely not. I'm already in enough servers that I'm not that active in :joy:

As for a continuation.... I think it's best if we just let it go. Not just this thread, but sort of all of them. If there were to be a new one, that would be the eight or ninth try, and to my knowledge none of them have made it past the Welcome Ball. When we do get a chance to post a time skip, most people are already done with the RP. I honestly think it would just be best to drop it completely for the time being. Maybe in the distant future we could work something out.

She then continued to state that she wanted and was going to run a continuation of the current IC.

I told her that I wanted the whole concept dropped as a whole, as well as any continuations or new renditions. She stated that it was a different concept because she didn’t require betrothals, as I did. I continued to state that I didn’t want the concept used anymore, at all. The following messages were sent.

If you want to keep editing the dolls, the aesthetics, and the tumblr boards that is fine. But the WRC concept is done. It's dead. It's not about how much or how little I want to be involved. This has been my creation from the get go and I really, honestly, think it's best if we stop writing for it for the time being.

also, without required betrothals (which is how i run it) it's essentially just modern royalty au (and it won't be set in aciras, but rather lynston, a city of my own making)

i also don't think it's fair to tell people just...not to write? I mean fuck, i have a whole 58k word nano novel revolving around my characters. like yeah i get that it's your concept and i'll stop using the wrc name if it makes you uncomfortable but i've spent however many years thinking up and developing characters and timelines that go far beyond whatever was originally in the rp, and i don't think it's fair to tell people who've done that for their own chars that it's just not allowed?

If you change the name, the city, and a few of the most basic things that I originally had, it is still WRC. It's not just the idea, but the whole concept. The modern royalty AU and everything. That's what WRC originally was, is, and always will be. I understand that people are going to be upset, and if they want to come to me and talk about it, that's cool. You can even tell them my DM's are open. I have also spent ages writing different things about and for this RP. I'm not saying that you can't keep anything WRC related. If you want to RP something like this, Instead of using whole nations, you could use global conglomerate companies, or generally just families with a buttload of money that they're practically royalty rich. They don't necessarily need to be actual royalty to live like royalty. Especially without the betrothals.

As you can see, I gave her different options. Sure. When you look at it after she changes some of the smallest details (no betrothals, changing the main princess and kingdom name) it’s essentially a `royals doing stuff, making drama` RP. Could I keep her from doing that? No. I guess not.

I can’t tell people to stop using the tumblr blogs, pinterest boards, characters, or anything else of the like. Those are theres, and I respect that.

What I do not respect is someone telling me that they respect my wishes and will stop running a continuation of my RP and then popping up a week or two later with a continuation of the current IC.

I’ll be honest. I went to the mods. I was angry. It was like a slap in the face. She had taken the carnival idea from myself. I know it’s hard to prove that it was solely my idea, but I messaged asking her what our next IC event should be; Rather we should crash a masquerade ball, or do the carnival/amusement park event. We agreed to let the people vote, and ended up doing the later. Also, in the IC post that I had done for my character, I stated that it had been a week since the Welcome Ball festivities - just like these posts are now stating. There’s also never been a carnival like event in any of the iterations of the RP.

Let me go on record to say that the mod that I dealt with was amazing. They helped in every way that they could, and the thread was locked for a few hours - because as the mod stated, you were breaking the rules. But… you told them that you were changing things.

How are you changing things if you’re still using the same freaking event that we left off at IC wise? The same time frame?

Also, if it’s the same idea that you said you were using, it’s still way similar to WRC, but I can’t keep you from using it due to the fact that it’s not my idea.

I’m just here to tell my side of things and let everyone in this thread know that WRC is done. When I get time to collect my notes and reflect on a few things, maybe I will bring it back in a few years. But as for now it is done. As stated above, I can’t tell you to use your characters and shit. If you want to use them for what is being claimed as a new idea, then go ahead! I have no problem with that even though it’s hella similar and for some reason people can’t seem to wrap their heads around the idea that you don’t have to use the royal aspect of things to do an RP like this. I even gave suggestions of what you could do instead.

Call me crazy. Maybe it’s an overreaction. But this whole damn thread looks like a continuation of the current/last IC and the only reason that it is now being claimed to change is because certain people still want to have their fun.

Morgan made her way through the crowd at the party, grabbing a drink I from the table as she gave Aria a thank you for hosting. While she and Aria had never spoken that much, she had heard good things about the blonde. Morgan had grabbed a green apple Smirnoff that she was currently sipping on as she scanned the crowd for familiar faces. She spotted Lana, Eli and Minty talking together (she adored their friendship), as well as Jordan and another young man she was pretty sure she had never seen before. How did he get an invite? Was he new? Morgan planned to find out.

Making her way over to the scene, Morgan was surprised to feel someones arms wrap around her from behind. As her fight or flight instinct turned on, Morgan felt her heart beat fast from the burt of adrenaline her body had given her - right up to the moment she heard a familiar voice. The friendly kiss sending butterflies fluttering in her stomach, Morgan turned to see her best friend Jenna. Returning the girls smile, she gave her a hug of her own.

"Jenna!", she exclaimed. "I'm so sorry we haven't hung out that much this first week. It's been so hectic trying to juggle streams, babysitting and school has taken some adjustment." Personality Traits

Generally speaking, Deshawn Marcus isn’t much of a talker. Most would agree that he’s pretty kind and sweet natured but it is the early hardships in his life that truly shaped Dee’s personality. He is tough, cynical and brutally honest and seems to be burdened by a somewhat compulsive need to save people, a factor that often results in both admiration and annoyance because he can’t seem to stay out of trouble. Deshawn much prefers his own company a lot of time and enjoys disappearing for a run or a hike for hours at a time just to clear his head. In spite of this need for independence, Dee is very empathetic and understanding of other people and has no qualms with working with a partner or group as shown by his time on the football team.

He is somewhat shy and finds it hard to properly allow his emotions to be seen other people. Deshawn is prone to solving problems with his fists rather than with his head and is seemingly always involved in fights even if said fights don’t really have anything to do with him. The streets of West Baltimore are a dangerous place for a child to grow up, Deshawn is the perfect advocate for that.

Biography

When you are born and raised in a place that has in the past been named Bodymore, Murderland your trajectory through life is pretty much mapped out for you from the start. Deshawn Marcus was brought into this world on a cold winter's eve in West Baltimore. His old man was well known enforcer for one of the heavier gang sets and also worked as a longshoreman on the dying docks. Dee didn’t really have a lot of fond memories of those early formative years. He doesn’t really remember his mother, only that she wasn’t around anymore and that his father was someone you did not mess around with. The few good memories of when he was a child pretty much centred on trips to the zoo and the makeshift forest of his imagination.

As soon as his old man deemed he was old enough, Deshawn was on the corner, selling drugs. The life of a corner boy was pretty much his entire existence if not for the fact that he was one hell of a football player. He was allowed to play for his high school as long as he earned a good chunk of money slinging for his dad. Thanks to an early growth spurt and the workout he got every other night running from the police, Dee got real big real quick and damn, the boy could play. Towards the end of his junior year, Deshawn’s father had a group of his friends over for a party, Dee on this particular day was in the house acting like a waiter for the Baltimore drug kingpins. It didn’t take long for things to take a turn, the house was firebombed and shot up. Deshawn and his father survived but only just.

After the assault, social services finally decided to step him and took Dee from his father, who didn’t really put up that much of a fight to keep his first born son. At such an advanced age, it would be a miracle if anyone wanted to remove Deshawn from the system and give him a home. Either luckily or un-luckily for him an uncle he didn’t know existed decided to take him in and soon enough the hard streets of West Baltimore had become the hard streets of Columbus, Ohio. Uncle Denzel was just as strong willed as his old man but he was on the straight, a former army captain and current school teacher; this kind of environment was good for Dee. Almost immediately he was recruited for the football team but Deshawn made it a priority not to fall into the jock stereotype.

After a year in Columbus, Dee had pretty much established himself as a gentle giant, don’t fuck with him and he won’t fuck with you. You need a hand, he’ll be the first at your door. Still, an air of despondency hangs over him like a cloud. A troubled past could put a stop to a bright future and that terrifies him.

Sunshine was one of those people that went all out for the first day back to school. She had woken up early to do her makeup, shower, and brush her teeth. The young woman had posted a status to follow their dreams on Facebook, and uploaded the best of the cute pictures she had taken of herself this morning.

Why Sunshine was so excited, she didn't know. Maybe it was the fact that in a few short months, she would be graduating. They would all officially be adults, able to be truly free and live their lives however they pleased. Another thing that excited her was the possibility of see where things went with Shawna. Hopefully whatever their relationship evolved into, it wouldn't be something that would ruin their friendship. Fingers crossed and social media updated, Sunshine made the drive to school after saying good bye to her aunt and uncle.

Arriving at Kings, Shawna shot a quick text to Shawna before taking a seat at one of the picnic tables located right outside of the entrance.

Ariel Grey had been having a decent enough morning. Her father had left the house early for work this morning, leaving her to have one less thing to worry about. What she did have to worry about, however, was what to wear and how everyone would take the news of her and Kavi being back together. She had already let the Misfits know of the news, but the rest of the school still didn't know unless they had spotted them together over the very last bit of the holiday break. While the people who's opinion actually mattered already knew, Ariel couldn't help but wonder what sort of whispers would float down the halls as she walked hand in hand with Kavi. Said thoughts did nothing to help her anxiety levels as she worked through her morning routine and drive to school.

She was sure to text Kavi to let him know that it was more than okay that she couldn't ride with him this morning. While Ariel always preferred their car rides together over going solo, she understood the importance of making sure his sister arrived at school on time too. Plus family time was nice, right?

"Just take a deep breath," she whispered to herself, stepping out of the Impala. "What matters is that your friends -mostly - support you, and that you and Kavi are happy."

Scanning the school grounds as she walked across the parking lot, Ariel was surprised to see so many emotions on everyone's face.

Some were tired, others enthusiastic. Some looked ready to die, and others just looked.... 'meh'.

Approaching the man of the hour, Ariel couldn't help but spot that he had company. Of course his chosen company would be none other than Little Miss Relationship Destroyer Extraordinaire April Foster.

While Ariel was happy that April and Santiago had seemed to work through whatever it was that they needed to work out, that still didn't give April permission to be around Kavi after what happened, much less handing him some sort of gift. Like what the fuck, bitch? What. The actual - fuck?

Walking up to the conversation, Ariel arrived just in time to hear April's apology. Standing beside Kavi, grabbing a hold of his hand as she laced her fingers through his, she gave April her best forced heartwarming smile.

"Oh don't worry! I'm sure we've all pretty much moved past that."

As Kavi began to act as if he was moving for the package, Ariel firmly squeezed his hand as if to say 'don't'.

"Mind me asking what's in the box," she asked, feigning a friendly tone.

While she had moved past the events of the Halloween party, Ariel hadn't exactly forgotten what had happened. For the time being, she was just doing her best to not be passive aggressive and work towards building a better, more healthy relationship with Kavi. Seeing he and April talking together on their first day back at Kings Academy did nothing to help that.
