There's so much that I can remember that I'd like to forget.

Your messy hair and crooked smile; the sound of your laugh, and the way your eyes lit up when you talked about the things that you loved. I remember the way you handled the smallest things with care, and the way that your mind worked - layers upon beautiful layers.

I remember the nights that we played in the rain, and counted the stars. The days by the river as you described 'the golden hour' and we watched the pink chase the blue while the sun set.

Cotton Candy skies - I would have sworn they were decorated just for me and you.

We took turns filling each others cups - tequila in mine, and gin in yours. You thought you were so sophisticated with that glass in your hand. When it wasn't liquor it was smoke, and if there wasn't any of that we never spoke. I can't help but remember how the only times you said I beautiful... were when I wasn't sober.

I remember the night you told me you wanted me to make you a father. We had just moved into your aunts place, and we were in the shower. It was the first and only time you washed my hair, and I don't even remember how we were standing from being so drunk - But I remember that you said you wanted me to make you a father.

"He'd have our eyes," you said.

"And your humor," I laughed. Then after a moment: "So a boy?"

"Our boy," you sighed.

We were drunk, and the sun was coming up. The birds were singing through the window, and it all seemed like a daydream - but I remember.

I remember that there was a boy, who wound up being my best friend. A boy who loved life and showed me how to live without fear. A boy who lived so unabashedly he left the rest of the world in awe. I remember how the boy cared and loved. I remember how the boy turned into a stranger, and all of the reasons that I shouldn't love him. All of the reasons that I don't. But I still remember Cotton Candy Skies, and mornings in the shower, and drunken nights staring at the stars.

I still remember you, and I think it's giving me brain damage.

History

• Born in a small Mississippi town, Ryan was the only child thank gods Georgia Reid was ever lucky enough to give birth to. Georgia was a heroine addict, and constantly put her infant child in the middle of her bullshit. If it hadn't been for Ryan's grandmother, Willow, winning custody of her at the age of three, Ryan is sure she wouldn't have lived to see her school years. Willow still cared for her daughter and never threw her out on the streets. Unfortunately this created a hectic home life for Ryan growing up, as Georgia brought drugs and men in and out of the house as often as she could. Willow herself was prone to drinking most nights, and wound up in explosive arguments with her daughter.
• Ryan always has been the problem child - her mother was sure to make sure she knew that. Growing up, Georgia always found ways to make Ryan feel small - which resulted in her having such a large personality now. Ryans mother was sure to let her know how much of an inconvenience she was. When Ryan reached around ten years of age, her mother fought her on a few occasions when Ryan refused to give her money. The men that Georgia brought home weren't much better. Willow was never a saint, but at least she drove down to the school houses to bail Ryan out, was there for her when she had to spend nights in jail, and to give her a stern talking to. For the most part, Ryan raised herself.
• Georgia died when Ryan was fourteen of and overdose, and Ryan was kicked out of her sixth school. Upon her mothers death, Ryan was affected a bit more than she would like to admit. She started sneaking into her mothers drinking cabinet, sneaking moonshine - and she hasn't stopped drinking since.
• Once getting kicked out of her seventh school, Ryan was 15 years old. She began Edgebaston when she was 16, and was told this was her last and final chance to "get her shit straight." Ryan being Ryan, she's still caused some trouble here and there - though she has gotten smarter and chosen to do most of her crap off campus.

I've been thinking a lot here lately, about this boy I used to know, and the question he always seemed to ask me.

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"

Surgeon. Nurse. Chef. Artist. Mother. Teacher. Writer. Guitar player. Surfer. Baker. Philosopher. A thousand possibilities.

But I guess the real answer is that I'm just trying to be the person that I didn't have growing up - the person I think a lot of people didn't have when they were younger, really.

I have no idea what I'm actually doing with my life, or where I'm going, or who I'm actually becoming - but I do know that I'm trying to be more and more kind each day.

The Weird Goth Kid: Though Jasper dresses in typically all black, he doesn’t really consider himself a goth as much as his peers seem to.

Occupation:

Works off campus as a dishwasher at a local restaurant. It's not glamorous, but he doesn't have to talk to many people, and it pays fairly well at $15 an hour.

Appearance Details

• Hair: Dark Blonde || Messy // Ear Length || Rarely styled or combed back with gel. Usually he just brushes it and leaves it to be free. He’s constantly messing it up by running his fingers through it.
• Eyes: Blue-grey
• Height: Six feet.
• Body Type: Ectomorph || Tall and thin. || Slightly muscular || Long legs and arms. Is said to have an ‘artists’ hands, meaning he has long thin fingers.
• Clothing Style: Uniform || Jasper doesn't fuss over his uniform, and obeys all school rules surrounding the subject.
  Casually Alternative || 99.9% of the items found in Jaspers closet are black. There are very few grey or white items. Most of what he wears is skinny jeans and slightly oversized t-shirts. He also loves sweaters and the occasional flannel. He typically wears high top converse or some sort of boot. His closet does have a few jewelry items - all silver, no gold.

History

Born in Seattle Washington, Jasper is the youngest of three children. His early childhood was relatively normal. He began piano lessons at the age of five, and stopped taking them at ten. His parents were in a loving marriage, and his early childhood memories are warm ones. On the way home from a Christmas Eve party when Jasper was eleven, his family was in a serious car crash - courtesy of a drunk driver. His older siblings and mother died. He and his father spent a few weeks in the hospital, causing his father to walk with a slight limp. Jasper walked away with no physical injuries, but had the occasional nightmare. His father turned to drinking, barely able to look at his son due to being reminded of the loss of his family.

Jasper had a rocky start to middle school. He was scrawny, and kids liked to pick on him. He learned how to defend himself quickly. This landed him in the principal's office on a handful of occasions. His father did nothing but drink at home, often leaving Jasper to clean the house and cook for himself. Jasper always knew his father struggled with his own demons. The man blamed himself for the crash because he had been driving. Ultimately, the loss was too much to bare for the man. Jaspers father took his life when his son was thirteen. The boy was sent to live with his mother's parents in Palm Beach.

His grandparents were and are very rich. They made sure Jasper had everything he wanted and more, and eventually offered a place to Jasper at their home in North Carolina. They made sure he had everything that he wanted: Poetry journals, his own piano, his own music printed out whenever he liked. He even had a dog. They enrolled him into Edgebaston Academy his freshman year. Here he was still and outsider, but the bullying wasn’t as bad. When the occasion for a fight did arise, he never backed down. His love of cigarettes, leather jackets and the occasional whiskey earned him a reputation of being a bad boy - something he never cared for.

While he has no plans set in stone for his future, he has thought about auditioning for Julliard more than once. Jasper is trying to live his life for the here and now.

• Body Type: Mesomorph - Long arms, and long legs. Broad shoulders. Abbs. Nice pecs.
• Clothing Style: Uniform || Lucas's uniform is always wrinkle free. His tie is always tightened the right way, unless it's after school hours. He prefers to wear his Letterman jacket when and wear he can. He's not big on accessories, but does where a Rolex watch, and a gold band ring on his right index finger.
  Casual || On casual days, Lucas still wears his watch and ring. Lucas dresses in designer clothing selected specifically for comfort. Sure, it's nice to look good, but not if you're uncomfortable.
• Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: Small scars on his knuckles from school fights throughout the years. A few decorate his knees as well. Lucas's birthmark can be found on his left shoulder, in a shape that looks much like Italy. Said birthmark is roughly the size of a nicotine patch.

Personality

Lucas is known for being the pitcher on the school baseball team - a spot he secured his Sophomore year. He is known for being reliable, and being a strong team player. Unlike most of his bro's, Lucas is a true gentleman, and has managed to not earn himself a reputation as a heartbreaker. Lucas has a deep, booming sort of voice, often catching the attention of those near by so that he can turn on his charismatic charm. He has a crooked sort of smile, and knows how to make people laugh. Just like his sister, Lucas tends to have a very overall warming presence, even though he is quiet and often tends to keep more to himself.

Lucas is a diplomatic sort of guy, choosing to avoid conflict in any situation possible. While comfortable around his group of friends, Lucas is actually quite introverted. It takes a lot for him to be comfortable around you and to be able to joke and speak freely. Lucas does have a bit of a reputation as a crazy party guy, as things tend to get a little out of hand when he gets wasted. He's very dependable, and often goes out of his way to help others. He's a bit of a natural leader, and likes things to go his way most of the time, though will tell you that he considers himself adaptable. All in all, Lucas is the sort of guy that just likes to keep to his inner circle and spread chill vibes. Don't be fooled though - Lucas has a very strong temper. It just takes a lot to get him so angry to the point where you can actually see it.

History

Growing up, it was always expected that Lucas would follow in his fathers footsteps in both the political aspect, as well as being the heir to Thorpe Industries.
Lucas never wanted that. Being a politician didn't appeal to him in any way, even if it would have came to him naturally. Lucas did his best to give his father hope, but at the end of the day, he never measured up to the mans expectations. His father never punished Lucas for not fitting into his vision, but Lucas knew that it hurt Alexander - even if he didn't want to admit it.

Instead of being raised to be a political prodigy, Lucas threw himself into the activities that his mother chose. Guitar lessons and baseball were his favorite things - never really caring for the horses like Ria did. In a way, Lucas sort of secluded himself while growing up. It didn't bother him. After all, Ria could have all the attention she wanted, and Lucas enjoyed the peace and quiet.

When Lilly died, Lucas took it hard. Ria always had the ability to bounce right back from bad things. Lucas? Not so much. He threw himself into his musical and sport talents. When Alexander decided to send he and his sister to Edgebaston, Lucas was thrilled. His father had become disinterested in his family, and Lucas could finally do shit his way for once. He quickly found a home on the baseball team as the star pitcher, and fit right in with the Bro Squad.

Lucas is now trying to finish Senior year with a bang.

• Clothing Style: Uniform || Ria doesn't have a preference when it comes to the stockings vs. knee high socks debate. She wears both, and it depends on her mood.   Casual || Casually Fancy | Name brand clothing, dresses, t-shirts, jeans, skirts, dresses, heels, sneakers, boots, etc. Everything she owns is name brand. She'd never dare by clothes second hand or from Walmart.

Ria is known as the southern belle that everyone has come to know and love. Upon meeting her, you can tell that Ria is bubbly and energetic. She's the outgoing type, and will happily be friends with just about anyone. One of the next things that you'll notice about the young woman is that her facial expressions often give away her emotions. Most people who meet Ria for a few brief moments find her to be a very warm presence.

While warm and inviting, Ria is also sharp tongued, passive aggressive, and just as judgmental as any southern grandmother. A sucker for gossip, Ria has been caught eavesdropping on more than her fair share of conversations. (Thank goodness she's gotten better at sneaking around over the years). But despite her faults, make no mistake that Ria is a loyal friend - and when she wants, the young woman can have very good intentions. Charismatic and nearly always up to no good, Ria seems to have a specialty when it comes to getting information from people.

What do you get when you cross a good southern woman and a man with strong political ambitions?

A surprisingly good love story.

Lillian Isabelle James had started her acting career in her early childhood, and quickly won the hearts of America. Deciding to take a break from the hustle and bustle that was Hollywood, Lilly (as she was called) decided to go to college in New York. It was here she would meet Alexander Thorpe - a dashing young man who was the heir to a multi billion dollar oil and gas company, known as Thorpe Industries. He would also go on to be a Senator for the State of California.

Shortly after graduating college, the Lilly and Alex moved back to Georgia, and began to start a life for themselves there. Lillian found out she was pregnant shortly after her acting career started back up, and her husbands political career was taking off. The announcement didn't come at the best time, but was a welcomed one, nonetheless. Their first born child would be their son Lucas, and he was quickly followed by his sister, Ria, nearly a year and a half later.

Life for the Thorpe siblings was easy, aside from the scandals that people tried to throw at their parents careers. While Alex spent most of his time in the home state of California focusing on his political career, Lilly and the kids moved back to Georgia where Lilly grew up. The southern belle wanted to try and give her children as much of a normal life as possible - but when your mother is an actress, your father a senator, and your grandparents owning one of the largest equestrian centers in the country - things get complicated.

The papers tried to paint Lilly and Alex's marriage as a sham. How could two people be in love and live on two different sides of the country? The answer could be found in the hundreds of love letters that they wrote to each other - they had found their soulmate. Thousands were spent on plane tickets as they visited each other between campaign rallies and between scene shooting schedules.

Both of Ria's parents wanted what was best for their children, sending them to private schools their whole lives. Whatever they wanted, their parents gave them. For Ria, most of those things were ponies, jewelry, and the prettiest dresses a girl could ever ask for. While their mother wanted them to have a simple life, she wasn't going to let them be underachievers, either. Lilly wanted to set her children up for success.

And so it began.

Ria was thrown into piano lessons at age four. Ballet lessons at age five, though she pitched an absolute fit until her mother finally gave up with Ria was six. Lilly tried to get her daughter into a wide range of hobbies, but the only thing that ever came to Ria naturally was horseback riding. From there, she learned to barrel race, and how to even jump horses. Growing up, Ria participated in high level competitions and quite a handful of local rodeo shows. While her mother demanded excellence in Ria's competitions, she also refused to let her daughter slack off in her studies. Anything lower than a B+ and you were punished. For Ria, that meant no technology and no competitions. Horse riding was - and is - everything to Ria, so she was sure to keep her grades up.

The picture perfect family was ruined when Ria was 12, and her brother was 13. Their father had finally landed himself a spot in the Senate, and the TV show that their mother stared in had just been renewed for a third season. Things were amazing for the Thorpe clan until Lilly was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Alexander decided that it was best for his family to move to California in order to keep up with his political campaign, and for the better doctors for Lilly.

By the time that Ria was 13, and Lucas was 14, their mother passed away. Ria was a freshman at the time, and Lucas a sophomore. Their grades suffered, going from straight A's to mostly C's. Their mother was no longer around to keep them in line, and their father was to heart broken to care. Besides, C's were still plenty acceptable. The Thorpe siblings were enrolled at one of the best schools, and their father finally bought a house in DC, where he now spends most of his time.

Upon enrolling at Edgebastoon, Ria did her best to find where she fit in. Ria loved to soak up all the gossip around the school, and luckily the school paper had an opening for a writer for the advice column. Reyna would slip in gossip, cleverly disguised as help columns while also writing the crosswords and word searches. She continued to do it her sophomore year as well, and most likely will her Junior year as well.

• Speaks with a very strong southern accent. Like Dolly Parton strong. She also tends to call people sugar, sweetie, darlin', and everything in between. Other southern phrases like ya'll, ain't, and bless your heart are in her vocabulary.
• Plans to pursue either and acting career like her mother, or perhaps her path is in journalism.
• Allergic to seafood.
• Her music taste includes country music, pop music, and Fleetwood Mac. A Billy Joel song might pop up every once in a while, and classic dad rock as well. She's not too picky.
