*Follows behind you*
That guy said your parents have been off the grid for months.

They keep a low profile.
*Keeps running, glancing at a stray network distortion along the way*
When prepping for your fight started, they left whatever they’d have done here to the real heroes.

Hope there’s no side effects for jacking in and out in quick succession.
*Jumps back into the net with my device*

*Logs in with you and heads down another series of shortcuts and warp panels*
There shouldn’t be—it’s a lot safer than the last few. But if you notice anything, let me know.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

One step ahead of you, data-wise. I’ve got it.

Great. Let’s get out of here before these scumbags’ grim rubs off on us.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Thought so. Anything else to check out?

Let's take everything we can before any of the guards break in, and I'll use it to get these guys jailed later.
*Kicks his chair, rolling it across the room*
Laws of robotics my foot...

To the plant we go then.
*Looks at the door*
Through them or nah?

Through his network connection. Easier out than in.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

So you think she might be at the lab? But that doesn’t explain X.

No, I still think that one of these goons broke into the lab—that's the only way to explain all the anomalies. The only lead I have for mom's location is the plant; it fits too well with the mutations we're seeing, especially if they have some kind of leaky network.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

You would know better than I would.

Plus, this plant is close to mom’s office... which would explain the mutated viruses. The lab must have caught a sample, and this is retaliation.

*Tosses the phone to you and looks back at the door for a moment*
What do you make of all that?

*Pauses*
Fission is obsolete—I don’t know why they would have been targeting an old plant. Unless they own it and mom or dad caught wind of something?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Hm.
*Does so*

*A recent news article pops up about unusual errors at an antiquated nuclear fission plant near Melody's lab, alongside another article explaining cosmic rays flipping bits in unprotected memory—the messages contain allusions to transmissions from space and taking the conversation offline*
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

*Glances back through them again*
I’m telling you, there’s nothing here.

Pull up whatever he was looking at last, along with any messages he was sent. I don't think a name-search is going to cut it.
