Let’s not wait to find out. We still don’t know what’s happening.

You're right. But at least we have hard evidence that something's going on here, with those small distortions along the way.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

So it should be empty. Besides the reason we’re here, of course.

Right. But with everything going on, I don't know what to expect from this place.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

You said not much is known about this place? Like not even who’s occupying it?

It's all autonomous. As far as I know, it auto-pings some satellite in the case of an emergency, but that's it.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

No beaming out then. Got it.

Right. And unless things go awfully here in the real world, we shouldn’t need to.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Of course I am. What would I do if something happened to you too, and then you’re also gone without a trace? I’m with you all the way.

*Shoots back a smile with a hint of worry*
Then let's make this happen. One last thing though—do not, under any circumstances, enter the cyber world until we leave this place. This network's going to be bad enough for me as it is, but the damage to you could be way more serious.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Not the end of the world regardless.

Before we go any further, are you sure you're still up for this? You've already helped me so much, and I'm willing to do the rest of this by myself if I need to.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Not vital functions, anyway. A separate network for a break room would seem reasonable.

If they had one, they stopped paying their bill ages ago. Honestly, there's not a lot of info about this place.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

There’s a lot of that design choice going around. Almost like they’re afraid of you.

Almost. But I also can't blame them. Would you want a local power plant exposed to the internet?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

I can do that too.

Great, because I don't know which one we're going to need. This place is airgapped, so I couldn't reach the network if I wanted to.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

I can get through virtually anything by forcing a valid recognition of credentials. Whether that’s keycard or biometrics. The more advanced a system, the easier it is for me to break.
