*Steps outside and looks up at the roof, taking the last moment to make sure there’s no surprise rooftop security to trip when we go*

*The roof appears to be lined with analogue anti-person measures including barbed stones, smoothed slopes, and six alarmed glass panels surrounding the dish, not visible from where we stand*
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

A few. I’m gonna choose one that’s not gonna do more damage to the building though.

Let’s see what you’ve got in your bag of tricks, tough guy.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Yeah, why bother going through all that when we can go around?
*Makes my way toward the outside now instead*

Do you have a good way to scale the building?
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

So they care enough to crack down on people but not enough to dust a little bit? What a strange world you’re from, Rhythm.
*Makes like I’m going to head towards the roof, then stops*
Would it be easier to just head to the roof from outside?

They didn’t consult me about it, that’s for sure.
*Glances at the schematics, then back at you*
Honestly, that sounds like a beach vacation compared to going deeper inside this place. The network here is a faucet.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

What's going to hypothetically happen if we do trip security here? Doesn't seem like anyone's actively looking after the place.

Cops get called on us, maybe the military.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

There's a chance someone is actively denying our attempts.
*Uses the diagram to parse the easiest way to the roof, that has the least resistance*
I'm invested now. I want answers.

*The diagrams display a hatch through a set of security doors that protects a ladder used to install and maintain wiring up to the shielded rooftop*
We need to be extra careful from here on out. The security only gets stronger the closer we get to the core.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Let’s see about the safest path to the roof, then. Seems like the logical choice. Unless there’s any info one what’s being communicated down here, but we aren’t lucky with info being where we can reach it.
*Parses through the systems available to us here to see what I can find in regards to communications from the array*

*The machine initially shows that it has access to the beacon data, but then denies any attempts to read the contents*
Awful luck...
*Leans against the wall as soon as you pull data from the system*
I just want to get out of here as soon as possible.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

I want to get my eyes on everything. Check everything I can for signs of tampering.

*Opens the schematics for security systems*
You’ll have to get around any active security measures. The seismographs can probably be disabled, but turning off parts of a nuclear power plant sounds like a slippery slope.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

But there's consistency in that. Something is definitely wrong. Where is the actual reactor chamber?

*Types at the terminal, my rate slowing down a couple times between long blinks, and pulls up the building architecture*
We’re here.
*Points at the diagrams*
The beacon is on top of the building because obviously, and the reactor is here. We’re probably not getting in there unless that machete is also a drill and you’re made of lead.
<Snipped quote by Techspert>

Active at all? Bothering. Going into the red? Deeply concerning... Also, canary?

Exactly, something is wrong with that connection. A canary is a type of alarm where you set up a system that’s continuously doing something, so when it stops, the canary dies and you need to see what the deal is.
