I feel like Myriad Reality is somehow the secret glue holding this entire site together

People like to nudge aside the fact that there's a level of commitment to hosting, and joining an RP. The majority of players don't have it in either case, regardless of how interesting an idea is.

I've been gone so long that I forgot what the status bar was like. It's like coming back to an old apartment, except it's not an apartment anymore, it's just two walls and a lot of heroine addicts.

Xena Rock Fields

Under the Lone Tree

Brian turned to Cecil with a fleeting aura of fear, relived to know that Yvette hadn't snuck into their conversation unbeknownst to him. It was a stupid thought, Onweer would've noticed her long before she could get within earshot, anyways. No, it was just Cecil, the sniper who'd helped fend off the Xena serpant several minutes ago. If not for him, the snake might've had the initiative it needed to devour everyone in the ATV before Onweer had a chance to enact her plan. Without saying anything, Brian nodded, looking to Onweer for guidance on whether or not it was safe to accept Cecil into their circle. He huffed a short breath of relief as she addressed Cecil in jest, signaling that it was safe to continue speaking about the treachery they'd gone through. At the mention of silencing though, Brian reeled back slightly, his surprise barely noticeable, but evident to the observant eye. Was she really silenced? Brian thought her fatigue to be a side effect of some sort of magical poison, or a symptom of arcanic cancer. Was it even possible for someone to walk around half silenced?

Whatever. Admittedly, at the mention of suicide, Brian was put in an extremely uncomfortable position. He didn't show it, but remained silent as the talk of death slowly faded into the back of his mind, almost missing Onweer's last question. "My knowledge of project Scattered-Shades is minimal. Joshua is the only one who knows all the details. Well, him and the previous head of Project S-S, Sulfrax Lauchlin," He stated, crossing his legs together tightly. "and from what I know, silences are irreversible. If there's any way to circumvent one, nobody in the CMAS knows how. Either that, or they refuse to share. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a reversal ritual, honestly."

Diver's Paradise

The Main Square

Luke grunted in annoyance when Alvios mentioned strategy. He'd always been able to plot through all opposing forced with his renowned speed and power. He was hard-pressed to agree with Alvios though, this issue went a lot higher than a small army of low-ranking CMAS scrubs. This was a direct threat from that pompous, over-dressed wizard, Sydney. Luke clenched his teeth angrily, but managed to suppress his frustration, and keep his focus on what Alvios was trying to tell him. At the mention of Tinon, Luke turned towards the Diver HQ and glared at Tinon's bedroom window. "Yea, we've go quite a bit to talk about with that asshole," Luke grunted quietly. As Par started talking though, he turned back to him with an almost equal amount of distrust and venom in his eyes.

"Look, kid, I appreciate the offer or whatever, but we've got this covered," He turned to Alvios dominantly as if to dissuade him from interjecting, "Just me, Alvios, Larua, and Tinon. If you really wanna help, stick around the paradise and clean up a little," With that, he pulled Alvios away by one arm, towards the Diver's HQ, leaving Jenso and Par alone to think over the battle's aftermath.

"You're too nice to these kids sometimes, Al. I don't think they get exactly where all of this is headed, yet," Luke told Alvios, quietly, "Especially if there's somebody here relaying information to that moth-ball, Sydney. We need to keep the whole 'traitor' business to ourselves. It might be a good idea to keep Tinon in the dark, too. Our suspicions aint exactly gunna fix anything unless we can pick someone outta' the crowd without a shadow of a doubt." Surprisingly enough, Luke wasn't a victim to his own stupidity when there was a whole lot more than his ego at stake.

Arcadia

Southern Gate

Haley Corisan stepped into the semi-circle with an unbearably powerful aura of 'what the fuck do you think you're doing you little shit' about her as she approached Nicholas. She glared at him from behind, before looking over the Junkers that half-surrounded her. Haley wasn't here as a commander, but she was tasked with keeping these former-Divers in line if they acted out a little too colorfully. Jonathan followed close behind her with a happy smile and bright eyes, as if he were looking forward to this adventure more than anything in the world, completely contrasting his fellow CMAS officer. Haley turned to him and rolled her eyes before addressing the troupe of Junkers nearby.

"There will be more time to make friends on the roads, boys and girls! I suggest you get to your assigned ATV's lest Sydney has a field day with us all, haha!" Haley spoke loudly with an oddly welcoming tone. Despite her aggressive disposition, she was a rather friendly woman, who looked to earn the approval of her peers, rather than expect it. Rightfully so, as she wasn't actually ranked any higher than the others on this mission. He position of power came solely from her connection with Joshua as a CMAS veteran. Johnathan nodded quietly behind her, waving at miss Lunaweave before heading past the group of Junkers, and towards the 3 Z-ATV's that waited at the far exit, all being driven by experienced Machinists, who were the real authorities outside the walls. Nobody knew who they were just yet, but they were given strict orders to obey their commands, under the threat of strict punishment if they refused. "That means you too, mister 'Drama Knife'," Haley quipped, mocking his titled with a smirk.
@Letter Bee That's the character he's playing, ya gotta deal with.

I'll post after I'm done attending to Scattered Shades
New stuff in the initial post:

Additionally, 'imps' have been removed from the OP as common terminology.
@Wind Wild@Letter Bee

I assure you both, that the current conflicts are only the beginning of a long adventure. Scattered-Shades is only CHAPTER 1 FOR THIS UNIEVERSE, AHAHAHAHAHAHA!
@Wick As fun as it'd be, we can't exactly do much without the GM/CO GM's permission. I don't think either been online much today though.
So, wouldn't it be reasonable to consider everything that every character has right now? Food/water wise. That way we have a reason to actually go out scavenging later on.
@Belle I'm not offended or annoyed, just eager to see a major event is all.
It's true that there hasn't actually been a real event yet. Alex has no reason to talk to/trust either of the new strangers yet, and I'm personally looking forward to some actual conflict.
@Solace Judges you harder
@wind wild Waiting on you
