The highest, most decisive experience is to be alone with one's own self. You must be alone to find out what supports you, when you find that you can not support yourself.

The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

Bio

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

Yes, this roleplay is still active and posting, @Ashevelendar. It is also taking character submissions if you are interested.
@Kidd, @RedXCross, expect a post from me the following day. I hope you are still able to find yourselves involved and intrigued in this story thus far, as slow going as it might be at times.
As of this moment it does not appear I can upload the document, @ELGainsborough. That said, it is completed either way and I will attempt again later.
@ELGainsborough, you are most likely to see a submission from me coming this next day given I am now fairly confident of the party's make up. Unless I am wrong, @Carrot, @EnterTheHero, @Yamazaki, the current approach is paladin, spellthief-duskblade, cleric-adept and then my submission of either a cloistered cleric or totem druid with aims to theurge them.
Out of curiosity, is anyone likely to participate in this game intending to take up the magic spectrum as their forte? Thus far I have the mind to create an abjurer-conjurer wizard and cleric theurge scholarly sort, but that's born in large by the fact those interested are a paladin, cleric-adept and a spellthief-duskblade. My other path is some form of druid conjurer, perhaps even arcane hierophant in the same vein of arcane and divine.
@ELGainsborough, I will make the distinction that I am not invested in the pursuit of power as so much an ideal of an archetype I choose. I am certain to continue on the trend of in-depth specialization, but you needn't worry that I am here to break your game. I have no issue with citing the source of everything as well.
I believe the most overt change you might see our Dungeon Master request is following whatever system of faith exists, @EnterTheHero. That's just my assumption however, given I have no official say. That is an archetype I have wanted to play before however, in conjunction with Fist of Raziel, Ordained Champion and divine variant Abjurant Champion.
@EnterTheHero, thus far from the other topic there's been talk of a paladin and a spellthief-duskblade, but I've yet to hear back anything else - including for myself. I believe the overall theme is a bit more traditional and dark, but that's based solely on presentation; no reason I foresee not to include adepts, just some lore adjustments might be needed.
Searching for a moment in thought, as worn as he was, the man took in a long, low breath. In it, he drown out the worst of the senses he experienced in the odor of this musty tomb to be, choosing instead only to focus upon the failing floral incense. This pause, the rise and fall in his armored chest as he examined the remainder of his mostly healed wounds, was enough to remind him what must be done - how the enemy still lurked at the gates. Having heard clearly the dwarf's insight, he nodded just as quietly at first but soon replied as he withdrew his inspection of injury.

"These dragons and their pathetic entourage have wrecked enough havoc on this evening. If you have a healer, we require their curative touch."

Brannor adjusted the leather of his harness, its straps jingling lightly at their metal rings against his worn chain armor as he then neared a bowl with several crude wooden cups beside it. The water, clear as it was, would suffice for drinking and wounds, but it had other properties and uses as well; some of which were more a matter of spirit and less a matter of flesh. As with any beast, careful to partake, his eyes shifted back to the dwarf briefly.

A great figure moved silently in the dull ambiance, not far from the man or dwarf; a shadow in the few orange points of candlelight, but no match for eyes fond of night. It was certainly no kobold, that much he could discern before it vanished again, but even he seemed small in its presence. Whatever it was, as it then disappeared elsewhere into the infirmary, did not seemed to raise alarm. Brannor's stare broken, he looked back to the dwarf as he filled the empty cup with water - avoiding tainting it with his bloodied gloves.

"More than anything however, we could use others."

He insinuated directly to the dwarf, decorated in his furs and so obviously out of place as was he. Here and now though, he drank quietly as well, with his back squared firmly to the keep's wall. Not long after he finished, his thirst far from sated in truth, he spent the tiny remainder upon the wrapping of his cloak about his neck, wetting the worn green material. Carefully the cup was set aside and his hands worked the silver medallion upon his neck, running over the tiger's fearsome visage with the damp cloth.

With its luster returned... so did his; a glint of that same vein in his own eyes.

"If you are not free to join us, or any others you might have, we will be on our way soon to deal with these matters with our band alone."

@ELGainsborough, I will admit you have my attention with this as a promising enterprise. I will not make it unclear to you that I am an optimizer by trade, but I am of the vein who do so to match a character ideal. Of characters? I am partial to druidic summoners, shamans and shapeshifters, warrior-clerics, combat psychics and expansive theurges; the latter being entered early with some finesse. When possible, I go with unusual, often beastly characters but even where inappropriate all of them have a primal theme underlying in them.

As for elven subtypes, more than anything they vary in their ability score adjustments and their culture. I cannot think of any significant changes beyond those.
