The core of an individual is the mystery of life, which dies when it is 'grasped'. That is also why symbols want to keep their secrets.

The Harbinger of Ferocity

Agent of the Wild, Aspect of the Ferine
Nature, red in tooth and claw.

"There is, indeed, no single quality of the cat that man could not emulate to his advantage."
- Carl Van Vechten

I am, at my core, a personification and manifestation of those things whose blood and hearts run red with the ferocity of the animal world. It is this which convicts and controls my works, my writing, my being; the force and guidance in which I gain wisdom from. It is what inspires me as a creator and weaver of words, the very thing I admire as an author.

My leanings, savage as they are, are of the feline sort as there exists no greater lineage of beasts whom can be drawn from. No others captivate and motivate my talent and skill as the greatest of cats do.

No comment of a mass shooting going on at a Texas church here? Nothing on how November 4th was forced to fizzle or Senator Rand Paul being assaulted by violent leftist neighbor, and not even a word of all the Saudi princes who got pinched on corruption charges, to include one who was notorious for taunting President Donald Trump and being the subject of terrorism investigations there? Color me unsurprised.

Regardless, time to focus on what is known in addition to initial information gathered.

The situation that occurred in Sutherland Springs, Texas was a shooter, in all black and tactical equipment, who barged into a church this Sunday some time after eleven in the morning and killed 27 of the congregation. The attacker, identified as David Patrick Kelley was a dishonorably discharged member from the United States Air Force, found guilty of assaulting his wife and his child in court martial, barred from owning or purchasing firearms, demoted to the rank of Airman Basic, and had served a year in confinement.

Currently, the motive is unclear but intelligence gathered suggests it was ideological, potentially political as well; his Facebook had ties to many athiest groups and a few "RESIST" movements as well as the following statement by a group called "TOGETHER WE RISE", which Kelley was a part of:

The weapon used, according to information as it is now, was an AR-15 style Ruger rifle, which had been customized by the attacker (perhaps to more closely resemble the M4 rifle used by the Air Force). However, the active shooter was interrupted and forced to flee - potentially suffering a mortal injury in the process - when a neighbor to the church heard the shooting and retrieved his own rifle and fired upon him. The armed citizen then harassed and forced Kelley to flee by continued shooting.

Kelley is confirmed dead by law enforcement, but the investigation has escalated further, now into the hands of federal investigation.
I might throw out that the "media fact checkers" of our day and age are now often spectacularly wrong. The most infamous being the "BleachBit" example when they had to specify that it was a program, not literal bleaching, and rated the claim as "false" subsequently; Snopes as a whole going under is just another aspect. Regardless, the Daily Caller is right leaning but is not a deep right source. You can tell from the spread of examples @mdk used it was intentional, something you yourself even commented on.

The link provided even calls their information accuracy "MIXED" and specifically names Politifact and Snopes in the process as the sources for this rating. This tells me, observing the voting roster too, although it makes no mention of that being an influence and says contrary to that, that they view it as "Extreme Right". Quite "reliable" to throw it in the same basket as say Stormfront and Breitbart despite them all being of tremendously varied quality.

As a bonus, they consider Fox News to be one step less extreme than all the other examples I listed.
The issue I believe is the original root problem, at least out of the two examples, is that the timing and marketing of Wolfenstein is bad, terribly bad and speaks to a deafness to the current political climate. Their researching and marketing teams should have known better than to dabble in either isle's politics. "Making America Nazi Free Again" is bound to come across as either gaming activism, that those involved are pushing a narrative, or as being completely ignorant to the way the public interprets things. Thus it is more reasonable to believe a major company as Bethesda or Machine Games have taken and advocated stance than say, made such a glaring oversight. Anyone can tell you attaching a label of political activism to your company is a deathnote if you are trying to market to everyone, even if you do it accidentally.

I add to this that when you call everyone a "Nazi" and advocate "Smashing the Fash" and "Killing Nazis", those accused people are going to develop the perception that they are now targets. Rightfully so, as I believe this not to be a phobia in the slightest but a natural reaction to perceived or actual danger. Where this becomes a bit irrational is... that this is a game, one notoriously not rooted in reality and realistically has more or less stuck to fighting actual Nazis since the beginning. The issue came in the aforementioned timing and angle they came in, which feels like a swipe at the "Alt-Right", of which is realistically anyone right of the New Left. As said before by others, this ties into a community that is deeply skeptical of anything outside their area of comfort historically and now more so post-GameGate and the social justice warrior invasion.

They are going to naturally draw lines and comparisons, even if that approach is incorrect. It is more surprising that people seem... shocked by this, that this reaction is somehow unexpected and uncalled for. Honestly this could have been seen coming a hundred miles away by the cloud of rabble it was rousing. This is a failure on one of two fronts, either marketing for being inept at figuring out the mood of who they want to target to or the management for dipping their toes into political activism. Either way, Wolfenstein deserves the criticism for making itself out so foolishly and then trying to say something like "... "we don't feel it's a reach for us to say Nazis are bad and un-American, and we're not worried about being on the right side of history here." in an official statement they made.

Supposedly their intent was that they did not care if it mirrored reality, which to me, between all the evidence, suggests they are willingly making their decision to be somewhat portrayed as activists. My opinion? The game was not and still is not worth purchasing as it is just not my taste, but they did sour my opinion of them by pursuing the angle they did and being opportunistic, but mainly questionable in conduct and motive.

Transitioning over to Far Cry 5, I am more confident that this is an argument stemming from the more Christian side of the hall who are normally portrayed as "crazy, armed, bible-thumping, doomsday prepping, hillbillies with big trucks" in their extremist forms and are generally stereotyped as zealots. To ignore the "Which religion in current times has more blood on their hands?" argument, this is not my focus as admittedly I do not care who is who or what is what, but all armed radicals openly opposing the United States are always the enemy. That is just myself in the matter and I perceive this a greater issue of timing, not so much marketing. The bits I have seen have more and greater overlap with classical cults like those of Jonestown or more specifically, the Branch Davidians who they share many tones and notes with.

“The path to verity seems to have many branches. Do these routes hold a dark toll, Valmjr?”

"If the honored dead have anything to say, the toll might be more trial by combat." The burly man's voice came in return, hushed and calm, not displaying an ounce of worry. Instead in the wake of his words, Valmjr's strong hands eased and flexed upon his trusted axe, "And in this land, the next life is never far, friend."

"Their magic is really weird."

Birbin's soft voice whispered, adjusting his hat as the spells took shape and admiring the display, standing now beside the warrior who was near thrice his height and several times over his build. The warrior of the realm nodded with a slight chuckle in his throat; no disagreement to be had that the outsiders were strange, very strange. They fought well and had good hearts, that was what mattered to the man and certainly the gnome as well. This was to ignore the obvious in that it would be quite unlikely they would succeed here with the encroaching darkness outside without their aid.

It was then the invisible perch found itself gliding gently across the battered stones and drifting among them like any of the other ghosts of old, traveling down the left path. Atop it, the keen eyed avian - allowing its master to see through its eyes - sat patiently and attentively, none bothered by the strange trip. What it beheld then was a far, far larger tomb, arms and armor cast to the floor and the subtle signs of battle. Clearly someone else had been present, just as they expected and was foretold. There were smashed jars and old pottery that laid still beside the inlets of the crypt, some skeletons in their burial shrouds atop the stone slabs, but no overt danger as of yet.

Unaccosted even now, the pair continued their bearing witness until they beheld a final door ajar; a gap permitting only a faint, split ray of light to creak through; firelight, rather torchlight, that flickered and lived yet. That must be where the source of the troubles in the tomb traveled. The place perhaps the mysterious Green Man or other unknown figure had ventured.

Interesting tidbit (or not interesting, shut up), my dad takes that bike route all the time, and was there this afternoon just minutes before the attack. Y'all might've had to deal with a very extremely upset mdk if the timing was just a bit different. Kinda surreal.

I am pleased by know your father managed to not be there for that act of terror by our nation's enemies. Having those sort of close calls, even by a day, are a sobering reality. I am likewise thankful that you keep in contact with him enough to know such a detail: few do with family as it is now.

For one reason or another, the steadfast Valmjr bit his tongue on the nature of taking the trophy from the fallen spirit. Perhaps it was the desires and intent of this outsider to the land that struck a familiar chord with him, that his ancestors and brothers before him would love to adventure on and see the world to come rather than be infuriated at having their resting place disturbed. It made more sense to him that they would rather be honored in such a way, even with a momento.

Both the arcanely inspired paladin and benevolent wizard agreed... to Theodore at least, though Thea shot Cesar are narrowed stare. It was the suspicious look that scrutinized him not only for running off, at least with allies as it were, but for picking through the sacred dead. She said nothing else and went on her way, not more than a few steps behind her beloved slayer of monsters. Haemar followed just behind whilst their newcomer gnome remained at the rear.

Descending the steps, the templar soon discovered before him another hallway that led off to the left and the right. Dark as pitch down here was it, it seemed they might well have vanished into the darkness...

Valmjr, but a man in the dark, commented without err with his practical way, "It is dark here... should not be, I add. At least as I know it should be lit."

Unfortunately, radical Islamic terrorism rears its head again, this time in New York. Thus far we know the man is an immigrant refugee by the name of Sayfullo Saipov who used a rented truck to drive down a bike path and strike victims, but had his vehicle disabled by a bus driver who rammed him to stop the attack. He then exited the vehicle, apparently proclaiming, some say screaming, "Allahu Akbar" several times, and brandished weapons - which may or may not have been actual firearms, the reporting conflicts. The policemen then shot him several times and managed to take him into custody alive.

This all comes roughly at the same time as the last remnants of the Islamic State calls for terrorism on Halloween night. The attacks are said not to be coordinated, but more are potentially expected. I myself am hearing a shooting, possibly connected to terrorism, just occurred in Europe.
Whenever the story is "Trump isn't guilty," they seem to find a way to plug the leaks.

I believe that is the most crucial thing to pay attention to here when speaking about the collective events. There is no way any evidence of collusion between this particular sitting President of the United States would not have been leaked at this point. I might also add that it really is true now that Donald Trump is the most vetted president in all of history, a man with a near spotless record even amidst the non-political crowd. On a slightly different note, what is more amusing a result is that so many trails lead back to an ever expanding ring of people, many of whom whose name appears quite often in all these various scandals, but they do well to distract from them; I have noted most news agencies only really focusing on the fact that Manafort and Bush were part of President Trump's operations when speaking to the probe, only mentioning at the very end, if at all, the charges are totally unrelated.
I have to be perfectly honest, @mdk, that once I heard the Podesta Group and Mercury were and are involved, alongside Tony Podesta stepping down, and the dates Manafort is being investigated for all coinciding, I could not help but crack a grin. It is truly amazing to know that this is all they have managed to dredge, more fascinatingly there is also evidence to suggest they intentionally made no mention to the Trump campaign that the investigation had more or less started as far back as 2014 on these same issues. To add a crown to this, let us not forget that today was supposed to be "The Day" for collusion evidence...

... and nothing, nothing at all. Instead we even came to learn they rejected opportunities to meet with Russian leaders over legal concerns from the start as with Papadopolous. It was apparently even rejected by Manafort and was the White House who provided the evidence at all for the investigation.
