Current @SaltSight Game was Astlibra: Revision. Found it on sale bundled with another game I've been wanting so I gave it a shot and got like, straight indie JRPG of the early 2000s injected into my veins.

Seeing as how the blacksmith had a fair point about their gear, Alice and Sofia would take it upon themselves to drag Brandy away for some weapon shopping so she could get off the focus on her weight. Nothing livened a girl up like weapon shopping! That was totally what ordinary girls did for recreation, right?

In the process of finding especially deadly looking weapons that they could handle, Alice would grab a small circular shield and a shortsword, seeing as she already carried a lot of junk and wanted something that could fit easily into her inventory of seemingly endless bag space. Sofia was mostly fine, but did settle on buying a dagger in case of them needing one...and also to lick it menacingly. When it came to helping Brandy shop, Alice was mainly looking at the blunt instruments on sale. Clubs, maces, blackjacks...even a couple of quarterstaffs of simple make. It wouldn't be good for either of Brandy's friends to assume what kind of weight she wanted on her weapon.

Alice would hold up a greatclub, tail wagging as she held the ginormous stick. "M-Maybe this one?" she asked, having to hold back the urge to drool, dog instincts in full effect as she eyed the chest-sized club.

Sofia would shake her head, holding up a simple spiked club. "I think it would be best for her to stick to something of similar weight. A mace might be a touch too heavy for her to hit as well as she normally does...besides, maybe a shield could be useful for Brandy as well," the Revenant said, eyeing a buckler on the wall. "Perhaps, something where you can quickly deflect a blow and smash someone's head in?"

Alice would be of no help, hugging the greatclub and rubbing her cheek against it.
Apologies for the wait, been swamped trying to get stuff set up for a potential new job .
Fio was glad that, at the very least, the trio would have enough food and water but...it was clear that Fio had shown her worry from his reaction. Quickly perking herself back up, she'd accept the pouch and nod. "Y-Yeah, sorry...we're awful small compared to a lot of other Pokémon," she said, before scampering off to purchase the necessary food for the journey. The two Kecleons manning the stand seemed like good merchants, definitely not the type to buy someone stuffed in a sack.

Looking over the prices and doing the math, she thought it would be prudent to not go and spend all of Ting's money if she could help it. "Um...excuse me," Fio said, managing to get the two's attention while raising a leaf within view. "Can I buy Four Oran berries?" While asking, Fio would count the coins one by one, quickly checking her mental math while getting the necessary sum.

It was clear to both of the brothers that Fio wasn't very used to buying things, though her difficulties may also have come from being shorter than the counter. Eventually she would pull herself up just enough for her head to show by using her leaf arms. She'd blink a few times at the two Kecleons, looking back to the sign a couple times before down at her piling of coins. "I-Is this enough? Sorry, I'm not so good at money math things!"

The country bumpkin of a grass-type would really, really hope she knew that 6 came before 7 in terms of counting.
Hector Wyland

Ah, and so it seemed the savage girl was brought back down to earth with the speed he'd expect from any organization that took itself seriously. Hector wanted to bite back at the Belua saying they were all late, but was already aware of seniority being a key part of any organization. His military rank didn't mean anything here, so he'd just have to bite his tongue and bear with it. Wordlessly, he would follow along for the tour of the tower while Herne coiled around his left bicep, somewhat "pulsating" in layers of transparency while he relaxed.

They would soon be meeting with the head of the Tower, a man who looked the part of a mage. Though, he did seem rather young...but then again, a Veyonist was likely born practicing magic. Hector was certain that, in terms of magical expertise, everyone in the room far outstripped him. But, expertise didn't matter compared to lethal efficiency. Monsters didn't get easier just because you were more knowledgeable. At the question of whether any had questions, Hector would say: "Only one, sir. Will squad assignments be permanent, or will we be rotated out on a regular basis?"

Hector had a sneaking suspicion that, just due to the way the universe seemed to love playing cruel jokes on him, he'd already imagined himself being stuck with Scarlett for a long period of time. He has no doubt that she had the social decorum of a cactus...or perhaps, of ivy would be more accurate given her penchant for climbing. He also would hate to have to stand more than ten minutes of Evelyn's boasting. In fact, one of the only people in the room that he wasn't developing a distaste for was the young woman he'd overheard introducing herself as "Asterlope," a man who had introduced himself as "Aldin Rei" who carried himself with a good amount of dignity in both his words and posture, and the...other young woman(?) adorned in green who seemed as apprehensive as one could expect of a novice.
Liliana

[@Stinkgate]

Liliana felt her heart break a bit when Alice looked ready to cry. ...Had...they all made her uncomfortable by making it seem like this was a bad thing? ...It wasn't. It really wasn't. It was just...a good thing at the wrong time. Takeshi's culture made it bad so...it was just something they'd have to deal with. Liliana would look a bit downtrodden, growing to her human size and looking to Alice. What could she possibly say to make this better?

...Nothing. Nothing at all. "I...um...maybe we should leave Alice alone for a bit. Takeshi too," she said. Even if she didn't have a lot of smarts about her, she did at least understand that calling so much attention to it was a mistake. She couldn't even approach Alice for fear of making her nervous breakdown worse. She'd never expected to see someone from a Wonderland look so afraid of people.

Turning back to the crowd, Liliana said: "Yeah...everyone, we should give Alice some space. Mr. Takeshi, whatever you want to tell people...give it some thought." With that, the fairy would start to float off, feeling a bit glum after all of that. It was hard to get a fairy down, but she sure was flying lower than normal.

Eula

@AzureKnight

Eula would begin binding the hands of the various bandits that she'd managed to take down, honestly amazed at how well the fight had gone. She herself hadn't gotten a scratch, and Shizuka had handedly disposed of many bandits from behind them with the rest running away in terror. They'd won...even if she would have liked to capture far more than they'd ended up with. She'd have to bind each of them together with rope to ensure that they couldn't get away, tying them to a sturdy tree. It wasn't like they could walk a dozen or so men back to town, so they would have to be left here for proper authorities to pick up. Perhaps they could at least take back the leader however.

At Shizuka's praise, Eula would bow her head. "If it were not for you, I would have been heavily damaged by the crossbowmen. Perhaps even fatally. At the mention of her arm's damage, Eula would undo the binding covering it and examine her circuitry in detail. "Luckily, a simple fix due to damage being to the circuitry and not the joint." She would keep watch on the two bandits that Takeshi tied up, believing that they would take these three back.

Once everything was ready, Eula would look at the Bandit Leader. "Be aware that refusing to answer my questions is not an option. Query 1: Were you tasked with slaughtering the home of a woman who professed her love to you? Query 2: Can you describe this woman if she does exist in detail? Query 3: Have you encountered any Varjan patrols since your criminal activities in the area began?" Eula knew that humans could be stubborn, and as such looked to Shizuka. "Shizuka, if he does not answer, are you comfortable with torturing him on my behalf? I am incapable of grievously harming humans...but, I suppose he is strong enough that my parameters could be loosened."

Seeing that as an opportunity to demonstrate how outmatched the bandits were even now, Eula would pick up a decently sized stone in her good hand before crushing it into pebbles with one motion. "Non-vital body parts may be optimal for targeting, including: Hair, pinky fingers, and testicles..."

Fio would follow after Ting, definitely of the opinion that the Aron knew his way around town a lot better than she did. Even the street signs didn't exactly prove that helpful when you weren't exactly "literate", so she was glad she had Ting to guide. But thankfully, even if she couldn't read, Fio sure could count! And wow, those were some big numbers on the signs with the two circles around the line thingie that said "hey, its cheap!". It seemed Fio's fortune had come true and there was an abundance of food that needed to leave market TODAY.

Of course, even with the good fortune of some discounts, it wasn't like they could really splurge or anything. At best, probably four berries, which would most likely last the non-plant members of the team a day's journey, while Fio was fine with her existing bottle of water. Still, she wanted to make sure she wasn't recklessly spending, and would consult Ting first. "So...I think with our money pooled together, we can get you and Gale two Oran berries each...w-would that be enough?" the grass-type asked, hoping that her friends wouldn't be upset with too little food. She knew how she felt when she didn't get enough sunshine.

Fio also seemed a bit worried being in the market, looking over her shoulder on occasion, only to have a look of relief. ...Something might be bothering her...probably something to do with her "stuffed in sacks" schtick that she'd said during her introduction.
Well...at least it was a pretty dress! That made it exceptional, at least to Brandy in a way. Also, Alice and Sofia were super noticing the boob stares. "W-Well, given your lack of armor, it makes sense that you take the ring," Sofia said, feeling a touch awkward, enough so to adjust her quiver's sheathe to hide her cleavage a bit.

Still, it wasn't a bad haul, and with the silver pieces they'd received as well as the pawnable gear, they at least had a smidgeon of money to spend on more equipment. In some ways, they might have picked the best job for their skills: Low overall risk and time investment for a surprisingly rich reward. Alice would look over their money while the three recouped for a moment, folding her arms. "Well, it isn't quite enough to get any useful enchanted items, but maybe we could at least get Brandy a new weapon. You're already super handy with that club, so...maybe a mace? Oh, and some armor might do you some good as well."

Sofia would nod in agreement, seeing what they could find at the local smithy before splurging on any minor enchanted goods. The older blacksmith was a rather large man, his hair graying a bit...or maybe the only black parts of his hair were from ash. He seemed hard at work banging out a piece for repairs before he saw the three waiting at the counter. "Ah, pardon the wait ma'ams. I get a little too into my work sometimes. What can I get for you ladies today?"

Sofia would adjust her new monocle and say: "My fellow adventurers would like to purchase some equipment from your fine establishment. Do you have any blunt weapons? And armor in um..." she cast a glance at Brandy's bosom, saying: "...'Farm girl' size?"
Yooooooooooo! Did Lilianna really think that Io died a virgin!? XD

She doesn't think PERIOD.
Liliana

[@Basically anyone paying attention to Takeshi's Stank]

This was...um...bad? Really, really bad? Skarsneek even brought up that, if this got out, Takeshi's family would make him commit Sudoku! And she was absolutely sure that would lead to yo-kai getting expunged from the island with everyone's fears proven! Even if her Queen was only sending Liliana as a favor, the little knight couldn't help but feel as if she absolutely had to do something...and besides, if the people of the land started hating monsters, more and more would side with the Varjans!

As such, this affair was becoming more and more dangerous as seconds passed. The bee lady named Kerry beside her was doing a very good job of laying out the predicament for Takeshi, but Liliana felt they needed to do...something! Anything, even! And the longer a group of mamono gathered around Takeshi with one sleeping on his back, the worse this looked! As such, Liliana could only turn to the absolute smartest person she knew! Io-

Oh god, she was dead! She looked dead! Stiff as a board! Come to think of it, wizards stayed cloistered in big towers all day and never talked to anybody...was she dying from remembering failed romances, or never scoring!? Concerned, Liliana would float over and return to her larger size, gently touching her shoulders. "H-Hey, Io, do you have any ideas!? You're super magic-smart, so...i-is there a spell or anything that can cover the scent up? For Takeshi's sake and everymono?"

Eula

@AzureKnight

With numerous swordsman approaching her in spite of her stungun shots, Eula was beginning to run out of options offensively. Her strength was beyond human, but her very nature prevented her from harming humans grievously. She was even a bit shaken that she had it in her to return that cannonball from earlier. Had she already violated her protocols? What did "seriously harm" even mean? Bleeding? Bruising? A broken limb? Eula's mind raced as she considered the possibility before arriving to a conclusion:

If she didn't act to defeat the bandits, she was jeopardizing both Shizuka's safety and her own. She couldn't seriously harm the bandits...so, she simply wouldn't. With her resolve mustered as blades faced her down, Eula forsook the path of using her stun gun in rapid succession in hopes of thinning the crowd to instead stomp her foot on the ground, kicking up a good amount of dust before a shockwave followed, sending the half-dozen swordsman trained on her stumbling.

"Hm...Eula Thirty-Nine, huh? Is there really a need to use a number if you're the only one left?"

Eula wasn't sure who's voice she remembered as she slammed her fist into the side of one of the swordsmen, sending him against his comrades and causing six men to be defeated by a single blow, weapons left where they stood with their bodies crashed against a tree. An overwhelming feeling of disgust overwhelmed her mind. ...She hated this feeling. Of harming humans. But right now, she knew she was strong enough to fight without killing. Another swordsman would approach, jumping in an attempt to avoid Eula's shockwave-inducing stomps, but would find his blade caught by the Automaton. Left dangling, he'd be left wide open to the kick Eula unleashed, sending him flying towards the house where the bandit's leader had been flung.

Unflinching and with her eyes focused on the enemies around her, Eula would take great care to not get surrounded. Even if she was mostly metal, a clean strike through her limbs or torso could still damage her severely. And so she'd keep on the move, each wave of swordsman receiving the same warning.

"This unit is currently fighting at 43% strength to ensure that you all may be captured successfully. Please cease and desist by laying down your arms and allowing yourselves to be captured before you come to harm. Your resistance will be noted, and your cooperation will be appreciated," she would say, before probably immediately being charged and having to retaliate.
Hector Wyland

In some capacity, Hector had expected Reavers to be eccentric...but this...'display' was having him reconsider the effort it took for him to even come here after being accepted into their order. He'd expected that, since this was a Veyonistic organization, that he should expect commoner magi and skilled individuals but...he was astounded by the flippancy on display. The already tired looking man somehow deepened the bag under his eye as he listened to the conversations around him, gradually wishing that he'd brought earplugs. Today was going to be a long day, especially with the one called Evelyn boasting of her magic already.

And, then someone climbed the tower. In seconds, specifically. ...It was astonishing how grotesque the act was, clambering up the wall like an insect with some sort of alchemical contraption. "...Hah," Hector said, breaking his silence as he watched the magus called "Scarlett" reach the top of the tower before them and then vanish from his sight. Good riddance, he supposed. But, he needed to make an introduction beyond monosyllabics. "I am Hector Wyland of house Wyland. Marksman and practitioner of Galdr and Thaumaturgy. Herne," he said, the last word he called summoning a thin veiling of mist near his left foot, before a difficult to spot snake crawled its way up and along the leg of his trousers before sitting comfortably coiled along his left wrist. "My familiar."

The snake observed those around, its air-like composition making it difficult to really tell where it was looking. As far as familiars went...it looked somewhat weak, both in size and solidity. But, it wasn't as if Hector named each familiar after the first. After all, the transient spirits his Galdr called upon would be different each time. He was already aware that with his training being so brief before coming, he likely paled in comparison to the Veyonists and Animists around him. ...But, he wasn't about to show weakness needlessly. "A pleasure to meet you all," he lied, imagining that he'd have to work with any potential number of the assembled recruits.
