Mostly waiting for the story to shift to the Diner setting, where I imagine everyone will get together (Classic "Party meets in the bar" setting, anyone?). It's certainly where I planned to reintroduce him to the family.

Yes, some secrets will be more noticeable than others. You don't necessarily HAVE to hide it in you're writing, just from the characters. For example, my character's secret will become very noticeable to the reader once I start writing about it. xD
Soooo, the secret list is like you can't be a sadist and have cancer, right? This is just an example.
