@ArenaSnow Well it's nice of you to defend the character but I don't think it is in any way your job.
@ArenaSnow Well if she looks like a 12 year old she most likely is around that age. And thanks for the tip I did not think of the that!
@Cuccoruler I'm sorry but I have a whole list of problems with that character. First of all no 12 year old girl is an expert strategist, how could she since she has no real experience? And also who would revive a 12 year old when the realm is in danger?
Also if she was crushed by a boulder her body would be to destroyed to be revived and she would definitely not look like an average girl.

Sir Maximilian von Eichenwald

Appearance

Sir Maximilian is about 6'2", considered very tall. In his life he was also considered an ideal for a man, he had blond hair, blue eyes a winning smile, fair skin and an athletic body. Things have changed since he consists now only of bone. The only thing that is odd, besides him being undead, is his missing left arm.

Date and cause of death

Maximilian died in the year 306 after being poisoned by his wife.

Skills / Talents

The reason Maximilian got to be a legend was his skill with the sword. Ever since he was a boy he beat all the other kids in training and in the war for the crown he got recognition for serving as the champion of his king, winning thirteen duels in a row.
He is also a excellent rider, commander and strategist.

Equipment

Maximilian wears a reforged duplicate of 'Eagles Claw', his faithful greatsword once gifted to him by his king. He also wears a knight's plate armor.

History

Maximilian was born to a minor noble family of Noreik sixteen years before the great war for the crown, in which the brother Gunther of the reigning King Friedrich declared war for his right to sit on the throne. By the time the war started Maximilian was already considered one of the best fighters of his fiefdom and went to fight for Gunther 'The Usurper', who promised riches and titles.
The young knight quickly made a name for himself and after the war raged six years the two brothers made an agreement. They both would sent out thirteen champions to fight to decide who would be the king.
Maximilian was one of the thirteen champions of the usurper. When he arrived with the other knights he ordered them to stand back while he positioned himself on a bridge. He then taunted the opposing champions to fight him one after another.
According to the story the fights lasted thirteen days and thirteen nights. In reality it was more like two hours. Maximilian was victorious and Gunther 'The Usurper' became king.
After that Maximilian still served as one of Noreiks most decorated knights and generals and the Church of Sulost declared him glowing with the divine spark. He married a thirteen year old girl from an old noble family and had a child after three years, a boy named Jonathan.
Without war Maximilian however got bored. The bards still sang "The Legend of Sir Maximilian" and "Thirteen on the bridge" but he needed more than nostalgia and old stories. He became an alcoholic and increasingly abusing to his wife, the young Katharina.
After another five years of marriage she had enough of it and poisoned his wine, he died with a foaming mouth in his dining room. His wife was hanged just shortly afterwards for murdering him and supposed witchcraft. To this day songs about Maximilian are sung, not about the man but the ideal of a invincible knight he portrayed.

Other

His left arm was a holy relic in the monastery of Weidenberg. Unfortunately it was stolen about sixty years ago and never found again. Maximilian has only one arm in his momentary form.
@MonkeyBusinessI thought about that myself and my decision for the moment is that they are bound to the kingdom, however they have free will just cant act against king and country.
@Run9 OOC is up!
The Kingdom of Noreik has seen better days. Fields and farms lay barren, all the young man are at war now. The enemy, the brutal invaders of Kazgrad stand at the gates, plundering, raping and pillaging. The army is losing ground, and the castles at the borders are slowly crumbling. The legendary knights and heroes of Noreik are no more than bloating corpses.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. King Roland turned to those he shunned and persecuted. He turned to vile sorcerers and necromancers, enemies of the faith and cultists of evil.
"Bring me back the heroes of old! My army needs beacons of hope and justice in shining armor!"
They did what he demanded, but he did not get what he wanted.

The bodies of the fallen were placed in a circle around the black monolith. King Roland stood there in shock, fear and regret as the cultists started their chant. "It is for the kingdom...", he whispered to himself. Smoke filled the crypt and the lights began to flicker as the choir reached it crescendo. Unnatural shadows seemed to dance in the smoke, whispers in an unknown and terrifying tongue offered forbidden secrets. The King spoke a silent prayer for forgiveness, even though he knew it was too late for that. Everyone in this room forfeited his chance for paradise.
The whispers left and beastly screams took their place. What seemed to be a gigantic black spider with the face of a woman crawled on the monolith. A warlock positioned himself in front of the monolith chanting like a madman, while the prisoners of war were brought in.
Roland took of his crown and tried to hold back the tears. He had gone to far. One after another the Prisoners throats were slit, the blood colouring the floor red.
It was then a soft whisper was heard. The rattling of bones. It was done...

This is a bit of a work in progress but feel free to post chars or ask questions!
Great gonna start to work on the OOC soon!
@WildChocoboThat could be very interesting. A character who has to reconcile his faith with being reborn. I would say we wait for one more person, than I will write the OOC with more info.
