'the cool breeze brushes against your skin, bits of leaves and twigs nip at your cheeks and neck. The air is pleasantly warm, which was a little odd for the middle of December, then again, so was sleeping outside. Sleeping outside. Outside?
 Eyes still sealed shut from the drowsiness and post sleep eye gunk that accumulated, your senses slowly come to you. You smell the earthy aroma of a forest along with a hint of a body of water, your fingertips tingle with the sensation of grass blades brushing against your partially numb hands, you hear the gawking and chirping of birds along with the sound of crashing waves. This was a wonderful way of waking up, but not a familiar one. This wasn't your bed, your couch, or your lazy boy chair that you sometimes crashed on. Your eyes open up and you finally see the whole picture, everything makes sense now. 
You're on a beach (just laying inside the tree line would be more accurate). Now this wouldn't be so bad if you remembered how you got here or if you knew where you were or if the sky just past the horizon across this huge body of water didn't have a giant light purple symbol in the sky....'


So, that was my little intro to the isekai world I want to create. I'm sure you've seen it before, modern day people getting mysteriously transported to a new world that resembles a medieval/fantasy book setting. Oh, you haven't? well you have now. This Rp will be about a group of people of varying age and background that have woken up on a beach in a strange world. This world has magic, mythical creatures and more issues than a teen magazine. It will play like a videogame with classes, spells and quests and other things of the like. 

After mysteriously arriving in this unknown kingdom, a group of modern day people who are now citizens of this new world, must become adventurers under the rule of the kingdom to explore and eradicate this new threat that plagues the land. This threat is the arrival of the undead. Villages and cities everywhere have reported attacks from this undead scourge and the king is desperately trying to get to the bottom of this. This is where you come in. You are one of the adventurers that have been employed by the king to aid in this quest. There is still much to be learned from the undead, and the world for that matter. Why are they coming up now? Why are they attacking? What do you have to do with this? How did you even get to this world?? These are questions that will drive your characters to fulfill their duties as adventurers along with answering one of the most important questions of them all.

Magic in this rp will be using a somewhat hard magic system. Which means there will be rules and limitations to magic and you can do anything as long as you follow them. To simplify and be able to control the magic, i am going to be using schools of magic. 

Magic in this world comes from life energy. Since every living thing has life energy, everything has the potential of using magic. How you manifest this magic is solely reliant on the wielder and can come in many different forms. These different forms are called schools of magic. These are the 7 Schools of magic.

Abjuration: Magic that protects, Blocks and Banishes. (Resistances, creating shields, magic that makes your teammates hardier, things like that.)
Conjuration: Magic that summons people, animals and objects. (Wanna summon a sword to your hand? or a wolf to fight by your side??)
Divination: Magic that reveals information about the past, present or future. (Using magic to Spy on someone, tell if someone is lying, or be able to ear things a mile away.)
Enchantment: Magic that imbues the recipient with some property or grant the caster power over another being (Making someone think a certain way or manipulate the mind, also covers things like Making someone think they 
are paralyzed...so then they dont move. )
Evocation: This is the kind of magic that lets you control the elements, the attack magic. (FIREBALL !!!)
Illusion: This is magic that distorts and alters the perception of a person, place or thing. (Disguising yourself to look different, making a hallway look like a dead end...you know illusions.)
Transmutation: Magic that transforms something physically or changes the way it works. (Magic that makes you stronger, or magic that can give life to a chair.)

For your character I will allow you two choose a maximum of two schools to specialize in. Please use moderation when choosing a school of magic with gmoding/metagaming potential

As you can see, there is very little information about the world. I didn't Give names to major cities, I didn't reveal the history of the land your in and I definitely didn't talk about the Old World. Things like NPC's, City names, and general knowledge have all been left out. That is because I want you guys to build this world with me. "This is my world and you're just living in it," Doesn't fly here. This is our world. You wanna say your character spotted a building in the kingdom that 'looks really odd' go ahead, maybe there is a witchdoctor in the house...you decide. As long as there isn't anything game breaking, I'm cool with it. I don't wanna see anybody claiming to witness an assassination attempt on the king, because that would shake the foundation of society, which is ultimately changing the Rp entirely. I trust you guys, so let's make this happen.

I didn't put any rules down because I think we all know what they are and how we're supposed to take them. that being said, I'd like to remind everyone that Roleplay is supposed to be fun, so there's no point in intentionally doing things that would take away from that. 

On a side note, I will be dropping 'plot posts' every once in a while just to keep things on track, for lack of better words. This Roleplay is going to be sandboxy but as long as we keep the common goal in mind we shouldn't have a problem thinking of things to do.

The plot follows your group as they hunt down the source of the undead that have been plaguing the land and why they have been waging an ongoing attack on the kingdom. As you adventure you will grow stronger and uncover the truths about this 'New World'. That's all I'm gonna give right now, there's no point in adding more unless there's interest. That being said, let me know how you guys feel about this Rp.
