Samuel Evans

"Why does it have to be here?" Samuel remarked as he sat in his car, engine off, but both hands on the steering wheel. Staring at the junkyard with a serious face. He has not been to this place in a long time, and a reminder of his past with the Snakes. The last time he was here was years ago, and Samuel would rather not go in. But his poker chip, which he left on top of the dashboard. For some reason is pointing towards the junkyard.

Now, Samuel is torn between just leaving and ignoring his defective but magical poker chip. Or follow the chip, head inside, and see what exactly is waiting for him inside.

He sat there in his car for who knows how long, staring at the junkyard and ready to turn the car back on and leave. But, eventually, Samuel made his choice. Though he realizes he may just regret it. More so if he sees a member of the Snakes there. Either way, with a sigh, Samuel stepped out of his car, locked it, and with his poker chip in hand. He walked to the junkyard and headed inside.

Getting in was the easy part, and one he remembered how to do. Now, as he ventured inside, following the direction of the poker chip. Samuel was on his guard, he does not know who he will find here. Mainly, it was just if he gets unlucky and the Snakes. But who knows who else is in the junkyard at this hour?

Still, after some time after following the poker chip, did he reach his destination. Which there was a tower that was not here the last time he came to this junkyard. Samuel could feel the energy radiating from it. Alot of energy was coming from it, and he can feel it across the electromagnetic spectrum as easily as he can feel the light it is producing.

Then his gaze fell on the EZ-fix truck, that sight is not a new one. Smauel has seen that truck here before but never met its owner, and at the time when he was with the Snakes. He paid little attention to it. But now with the tower and it being nearby. Maybe there is a connection between it and the tower, or at least whoever was in the truck might know who made the tower. Unless he is assuming too much here. Samuel is still new to magic here, and he is still trying to figure out how it all works.

But, after a moment of looking around, did he hear a voice. One he did recognize, and to his relief, one that did not belong to a member of the Snakes. So Smauel turned to the source and found Nathaniel. "Nate? What is he doing here?" Samuel wondered quietly to himself as he thought about what to do next.

Since Samuel does know Nate, barely, but better than being a stranger. So maybe he can trust the man, and maybe he is here for the same reason he is? Well, Sameul decided it was time to find out.

So, Samuel, after taking a deep breath, and hopefully this is not a mistake, he walked to Nathaniel cautiously, as not to surprise him, and greeted the man. "Hey, Nate, I did not expect to see you here." Sounding friendly but cautious,"What are you here for, and I hope I am not interrupting on your end."

"It looks like we are partners for now." William replied to Alicia as he left the hideout and later sat down on a table she chose.

William found it interesting that he now had to work with Alicia now after just meeting her. All he knows is that they share the same place to get food, The Golden Wok. Well, at least he knows something about her, and William may learn more about her since they are now working together. But finding out who killed Logan takes priority, so maybe not.

Now, when Alicia brought up the Blood Market Row and asked if he had ever been there. Once he had, a long time ago, with his old pack. Not as a dealer but as protection for his old pack's dealer. William was not sure if he should say that, since it was a long time ago, and things surely have changed since he went there last. But William felt like being honest with his new partner, and it would not hurt, right?

"Once, I went to the Blood Market Row with someone a long time ago." William replied, "I doubt I will recognize anyone there, but who knows, maybe somethings stayed the same since my visit."

William kept listening to what Alicia was saying. He had to note that she seemed on top of what needed to be done, and he would agree with her plan of action. "I agree with that, Alicia, finding them will not be easy unless we do this the right way, and I think you know how to do that." At least at the moment, he thought

When Alicia brought up her last question to him, William would cross his arms. "That is a good question, Alicia,", which he would ponder and lean back in his chair. Since time is not on their side, going now would be prudent, but whoever killed Logan would know that the pack is after them once they find out and may have eyes on the pack. But if they wait until day, then maybe it will be safer for them and get a better chance of finding who killed Logan.

For a moment, the thought weighed on his mind, and when he had an answer, William met Alicia's gaze. Leaning forward and spoke, "I think we should head to the Blood Market Row now. Time is not on our side, and we should not wait while they get farther from our grasp. I agree with your pitch and have no problems with it, but yeah, I do not want to fight since that could complicate things. So I understand that."

Then when Alicia held out her hand and spoke about working together. William uncrossed his arms and with a soft smile. He reached out and shook Alicia's hand with a firm but casual grip. "It is nice to be working with you, too." Hopefully, they can work together and not resort to arguing and fighting each other during this hunt. That is the last thing he wants, but now is the time to see how good of a partner Alicia can be.

After hearing what Andy said, it made Leo feel a bit better that he may not be alone in not liking their godly parent. He has his reasons, and it did make him wonder if that was a theme with demigods or not. Leo did remember how Duke never met Hephaestus, so either Hephaestus did not care to meet his own child or had his own reasons for not meeting with Duke.

Still, as he thought about this. When Andy mentioned that he had a sister here and pointed out to her. Leo's mood lifted, and he had some light in his eyes. Just like Sofia, he has a sister or half sister but a sibling nonetheless. He turned his gaze towards Trinity and thought to himself if now would be a good time to talk to her. It is a party, she is a stranger, and he should be more social. So maybe now is the time.

"That is a good consolation, Andy." Leo sounding more spirited than before. "I might just talk to her tonight and see how it goes." Leo took a sip from his water. Having siblings that is a thought he sometimes had growing up. At times, it would have been nice to have a sibling. Someone he knows who can have your back and spend time with. It is a nice thought, and now Leo finds out he has one. His world got a bit bigger, and maybe coming to camp was not a bad idea.

When Andy went to leave, Leo said one last thing before she left. "Nice to know, and I may take that offer, but I want to finish my drink first." Then he watched as she headed to the dance floor and started dancing by herself.

He had half a mind to join her since she was dancing alone, and some company would be nice. Taking one last long sip from his water and throwing it away in a recycle bin. But, before he could make up his mind about who to talk to next. A new girl approached and turned out to be a late newcomer.

"Oh, hey," Leo quickly said to Amorey. You just missed her, actually," Leo then pointed to Andy, who was on the dance floor with someone else. "She is talking to someone right now, it looks like, so you may have to wait until she is done. Though you need to place to go to, so it may still be alright to talk to her." Leo realized he should introduce himself. "I am Leo by the way, and I did not think more newcomers would be coming today." He chuckled to himself, "me just coming today as well, and I maybe can help you with finding a cabin. If that bulletin board from this morning is still up and still has those enchanted maps. Unless I use the one I got, but that is back in my cabin."

"No problem, Amorey, and I bet you can get sorted out and join the party later." Sofia said with a smile, and as soon as the new girl left. Sofia turned to Veronica, "so you still want to head to the bar and not get drunk?" Sofia asked, "since it seems like Amorey may not need our help at the moment." She did wonder since Amorey arrived if any newcomers would show up. The day is not over, but it seems that newcomers are still coming.

"Or we can do something else if you want, I do not care at the moment." Sofia turned back to the sledding hill with a curious eye, and she could do more sledding since maybe one ride was not enough.

Sofia did wonder what else they had in store at this party, the ice rink, the sledding hill, and she was curious to see what else. Though she did wonder how Leo was doing, hopefully, he is having a good time and enjoying himself. More so since tomorrow is going to be training, and who knows when another party will happen. Sofia just hopes that training will not be harsh, or well, she does not know what to expect.

Still, Sofia plans on having a good time and so far. So far, she had fun and met some new people. But the night is still young, and the party is not over yet. Maybe even see where Nelly went off to, and meet some more people. But leave the meeting Mason part, for some other time unless she finds the chance tonight. But for now, time to see how being with Veronica is going to be minus the hiccup with talking about their godly parents. Sofia is not going to hold that against Veronica right now but, she is still willing to hang out with her right now. Now to see where they go next.

Aboard the Intrepid
Observation Deck
Takács Mátyás

"For me...," Takács was about to say something, but the intercom came on, and now Omon could be seen from the observation deck. The first ones to see Omon in a long time as the coastline of Omon comes into view. Which would be a sandy beach that would lead to a lush forest.

"Omon has been sighted, I repeat, Omon has been sighted, and we will begin to find a landing zone as soon as possible."

"Finally," Takács quickly turned around and gazed upon the lost continent with amazement in his voice. "Omon, here we are, and I wonder what biomes Omon has." He chuckled to himself, "I can see green trees, and... now I should probably get ready to land." He smiled as he continued to gaze at Omon. "The grand adventure, here we come," Takács said quietly under his breath and left the observation deck. Heading to his cabin and now it is just waiting to find a place to land and start this expedition in earnest.

Twenty minutes later
Intrepid landing zone

Once a landing zone was founded, a large clearing in a forest. Did the Intrepid land with grace on the foreign soil. As soon as the airship landed, her cargo bay doors opened wide, and at first, it was the expedition's guards, the soldiers, both hired guns and former military were sent out to secure the perimeter around the airship, just in case the Intrepid landed too close to anything hostile.

Once the all clear signal was made after some time. Did the rest of the expedition began to unload the contents of the Intrepid. A seemingly endless number of personal, wooden crates, supplies, and more would start setting up a base camp at the clearing.

Which while that was happening, Takács was following the flood of movement and would take his first steps on Omon. Making sure he was not going to bump or get in the way of the traffic in the process. But once he was in the clear and not in a busy part of the growing base camp.

Takács looked around and took in his surroundings. He was finally here, and he started taking notes in his personal journal. Just writing about the excitement of what would be the first chapter of his journey on Omon. The first entries of many in this lost land.

After he was done, he put his personal journal away into his backpack, and Takács looked around once again with a smile on his face. They were finally on Omon, and it is only a matter of time before everything is ready and the group is ready to move out and explore what this lost land has in store for them. For now, Takács was content to watch and observe from what would be the base camp and get ready to see the interior of Omon.

"Understandable," she reassured him with a nod. "Camp has over doubled in size in a handful of hours. To be honest, I’m trying to get my bearings as well. I can’t speak for the new faces, but the seasoned campers are good people."

"I will take your word, then Andy." Leo remarked, and while the people he has met so far. Sofia, Duke, and now Andy. They had been nice and seemed like good people. Granted, Duke wanted some reassurance that he would not cause trouble. Since Leo knows through Sofia that there was some troubles that the campers had to endure. Though she was not specific about what but he can understand about not wanting the new campers to cause problems.

"Duke’s a nice guy," Andy confirmed with a soft smile. "Just go bug him," she added with a laugh and small shrug. "Parties are all about just, popping into random conversations and ’mingling’." She raised her hands and made air quotes. "Plus, I highly doubt he’ll be offended about you joining in. He’s pretty laid back."

"Well, in that case," Leo took a sip of his whiskey and was about nearly done and eager to drink something less alcoholic. "I can see how he is doing and see who else he is talking to. Mingle a bit." Parties were not Leo's strong suit. Mainly due to his nature of controlling his emotions and he tends to not seem like he was enjoying himself most of the time. He was just in his own way, and most parties he was invited to. Alcohol was the main source of refreshment, and he would not its intoxicating juices screw with his head.

"I don’t really like it either. I’ve had enough bad experiences while drinking here that I prefer to keep my wits about me. My friend, however, thought I needed to loosen up," she added with a lighthearted chuckle. "She means well, but I think two shots is more than enough for me tonight."

"It is nice to know someone who also does not like alcohol." Leo gave a small smile and sounded relieved. "Where I am from and among my friends, I tend to be the only one who dislikes drinking the stuff." Leo sighed,"At least they did not try to force me to drink it... once I got them to understand that is." Leo made another sigh, maybe not the best of friends he had, but they never tried to trick him into drinking alcohol.

"Come on, I can show you where they are."

"Lead the way," Leo said and followed Andy back to the bar, but he would notice as he finished off his whiskey was two campers on the outskirts of the party. They definitely talking to each other, and neither looked happy. So Leo thought it best to stay away from those two right now. Maybe once they come to the party and seem a bit happier.

"Right here," she said, directing Leo toward the far left side of the bar, kind of tucked away by the ice. "Most people just use them for mixed drinks, but I like breaking the rules." Andy flashed a mischievous grin.

"Thanks," Leo said, and after throwing away his empty cup in the recycling bin. He chose after seeing the selection of drinks and being somewhat annoyed with himself that he did not see them earlier. Leo went with a bottle of water, and seeing how Andy was sitting down on a barstool. He opted to sit on one right next to her and took a small sip of water.

"Hecate, by the way," Andy said while pointing to herself, addressing what always seemed to be the elephant in the room… the Gods. "It’s usually one of the first questions ‘what’s your name?’ ‘who’s your parent?’" She laughed and held up her hands in playful innocence. "No pressure. Just figured I’d tick off one thing from the small talk checklist."

Leo saying the next words with a hint of anger,"Ares." Saying it in a deadpan tone, and since talking about his father, tended to bring out anger in him. Right now, with more restraint than earlier today, but there were some tells. "I.. rather not want to talk about him." Leo looked around for a bit and took a sip from his water. It is clear that he would rather change the subject and simply sighed at his words.

"Hey, I say just be yourself. I know if I ever met any half siblings, I'd still be me. I am my mom's only child too, so I wouldn't know what it's like to have to have siblings either."

"Same here, and I know I have a half sibling here and want to at least talk to him. But I am not sure when would be the best time to approach him about it." Sofia sounded both eager and unsure since she had prior warning about Mason's nature. But she will talk to him at least once, and while hoping they can be friends or good siblings to each other might not happen. She still wants to try since she likes the idea of having a sibling, and now that she knows she has one. It is a priority for her to meet Mason and hoping it does not go sour.

”Err, I wouldn’t actually know, um, this is my first one so far. But it’s already an improvement on my first couple of days in camp. Which were like, what? One day of everyone having to fight duels, then spending the night being attacked by monsters.”

She paused before continuing.

”I’m sure that won’t happen tomorrow night... probably. Though Nelly might be able to tell you better than I could as far as past parties go.

"Oh... so things get exciting here and that would suck if it did happen tomorrow night." While Sofia knew some stuff that had happened via her mother, but the camp being attacked by monsters was a new one to her. It almost made her seem glad that they would start training tomorrow. Almost, but it sounds like the campers here had been through some tough times, but still held on and stayed.

"Oh, I am not much better. You only got here a few days after me. Granted a lot happened those few days too. The day I got there, we did have a party with a game I never played before. Seven Minutes in Heaven. Had to spend 7 minutes in a closet that was conjured up. To decide that, we basically played a variation of spin the bottle. I got Sylas, and needless to say, I don't think I did well. It wasn't until much later did I learn the true purpose of the game. I can be dense when it comes to intimacy. I'll do better next time. Never had time for guys due to my lifestyle. But at the party a former camper got in a bad argument with Andy and electrocuted the poor girl, almost killed her. It was Zeus's daughter. The next day she and her brother left for Olympus for good and haven't been back since. That same day, a few other demigods got in a fight that resulted in Sylas getting hurt by a son of Ares. Poseidon and a few other gods also showed up that day to say the next day we ALL would have a trial that would expose our biggest fears and weaknesses. Mine was minor to compared to others. One was my peanut allergy, fear of needles, and anything bad happening to my mother. Out of respect for others, I won't mention the others, but needless to say, all of us present were wrecks after our trials. Anyway, if you do want to know about previous parties, the ones I know who've been here the longest, and don't quote me on this, are Andy, I think her brother Daniel. Wes for sure be another and Trinity. Oh, fyi, Sofia, those 2 are a couple now. Trinity is badass blonde and Wes is a nice guy, but he's lacking an arm. They're a gorgeous couple. I hope I am okay in Trinity's book now. Girl is Ares' daughter, so I want to stay on her good side. OH! The other demigod I think has been here longer too is Mason. I think there's one more person, but this is the one time, I am having a hard time remembering. Auditory memory is great, but not perfect."

Sofia, at first was not sure of what to say since Nelly had just unloaded a lot of info in a short time and Sofia was trying to process all of it. Then she had questions like, what do you mean a girl almost killed another camper. Andy, that is a name she knows from her mother and wait. She was tortured by Hades and electrocuted sometime before or after? Granted only Sofia in this group knew about the torture part it sounds like, but that was just the tip of the iceberg of questions she had. Like why Wes does only have one arm and.... and....

"Hey don't sell yourself short, you look adorable. Plus, Aphrodite is your mom, so you'll aways be beautiful. Anyway, I think I am going to stop for now. I don't want to get sweety in this nice attire, plus I haven't gotten me a drink yet. You two have fun and enjoy yourselves!"

By the time Sofia could raise her voice to reply, Nelly was gone, and now she was left with questions. Questions that she knew Veronica could not answer, and the only good thing that came out of this is that she now knows that Leo has a sister named Trinity. Which she will tell him the next time they meet.

So, looking a bit awkward towards Veronica, and spoke. "So that was a lot and I think I need a drink after that..." Now sounding a bit less awkward. "Want to join me at the bar? If not, that is okay."
