Either RolePlayerGuild.com is glitching, or everyone is studiously ignoring my PMs.

@ThinslayerOh and also I was thinking of our subplots, couldn't the ring just grant us the conclusion to our subplots?

The ring's power is actually very limited. High Elves are not gods; they're mages. Erudessa was a master craftsman and powerful mage, but she can't manipulate time or personalities. The rings are basically remote magic wands - they siphon power from a mana source, and the mage casts it from whoever wears the ring. The spells you can request from the ring depend entirely on the skill of the mage casting it.
@Lord Zee
Ya burst into flames and we need 7 unused rings to bring you back to life...or wish Namek back...
Tricky thinking.

Kaite is so checked-out at this point, but that's probably just contempt for high-elves and their posh lifestyle.

Maybe she should pose her wish to the ring. The creator originally intended for the ring to grant personal, realistic wishes, but that doesn't mean she won't attempt to grant higher-level wishes too. They'll just take longer to grant.
So I'm slightly confused. Does Tiberius have wings now? Or did I not read that correctly?

Tiberius does not have wings. The light-thing that was summoned has wings. It was overlaid on him, and disappeared after a few moments.
Upon seeing this, The Storyteller was struck with a sudden idea. It was an idea that had never been tried in any version of this story he'd ever heard of. But that was because there were no wishing rings in the versions of this story he'd collected. There was a chance it wouldn't work, but it was still worth a try. The Storyteller took back his ring and put it on. "Eru" The Storyteller said as he held his ring clad fist aloft Green Lantern style "I wish that Erudessa had in fact won her battle with the Warlock!".

Nothing happened.

Sadron picked up his staff and rapped it on the floor. "It is time for you to embark on your quest," he said simply. With that, he turned and walked away. Arandur gave one look at the Storyteller before following suit.
What he had asked for was beyond the ring's power, but he could not have known that. Instead, his body was bathed in light. A set of wings seemingly made of fire appeared on his back. What was summoned looked for all the world like an angel, a sign that the power behind the ring was supporting them from beyond the grave.

Sadron dropped his staff.

"Impossible."

Say what now?

See Lord Zee's OP. ;)
@Lord Zee
I think Tiberius Longshadow had better say something about this quick. He got two letters, and only one was from Sadron...
Sadron raised an eyebrow. "Rings? I did not put any rings in the chests. Show me one."

He stretched out his hand to the Storyteller.
@tex

Fellmore was a dreary place. Naught but dust and old bones litteted the terrain, and dirt got everywhere, in your shoes, in your hair, and in your eyes. Worse, there were orcs everywhere, and they weren't the friendly kind. And as Ventus stood in the Valley of Cuprum, he found himself surrounded by just such an enemy. An orc warband 80 strong surrounded him, led by Ungrog, a notorious orc-slayer and chieftan.

Ungrog slipped his axe from its sheath and slammed it into the ground. "Ready to spill your blood, traitor?" he jeered.

I thought this was a fantasy RP. What's science doing here?
